  1. makes alot more sense to me than having things like Helix\firehawk\etc in the effects\controllers category :)
  2. I added it, labeled it as Helix plugin (computer re-amping) since i believe that's your intent... let me know if that's not what you had in mind.
  3. I think it's just a confusing wording.... i don't think he means re amp via helix... i think he means reamp the recording... like pod farm plugin.... i'm sure he'll confirm as much... :)
  4. just because there is no VST currently doesnt mean there can't be.... take the idea to ideascale... it brought us the Helix....
  5. Did you ask them in a support ticket, using the contact us link at the bottom of the page? Because they do not typically respond to the forums. Just us users. But the ux2 is not obsolete. Still for sale. And the software pod farm 2.x is still actively supported. 100% chance of windows 10 drivers eventually. They have never supported operating systems prerelease.
  6. kind of... if you think of the standalone program as sort of a VST host, that makes sense.... the required hardware it's looking for is the hardware license... it makes sense if you know that... but yeah it does make you think there's a connection or hardware issue and that isn't the case. the original gearbox and pod farm required line6 hardware, pod farm 2.x does not.
  7. sounds like you don't have a license for the plugins... just the standalone application. you would need to buy a pod farm 2.x license that will include the plugins.
  8. Helix handles it better too.... rather than just getting the dreaded DSP limit warning... Helix will gray out any options that would put you over the limit. so you will be able to more easily see what options are unavailable, while knowing what you can do....
  9. just open a support ticket, or give them a call monday through friday 9-5 pacific time (USA) http://line6.com/company/contact/
  10. If you record with your HD, the helix will do amazing things for you.... just saying... that can factor in pretty heavy when someone is contemplating the value of the Helix to them.
  11. not an official answer... but i think that "Cali" tends to mean Mesa in these instances...
  12. you'd need to contact L6 with that question... don't believe they published it... http://line6.com/company/contact/
  13. i think that's generally true... but authorized service centers are independent and nothing would stop them from selling you parts.
  14. I don't believe that the hd500 is class compliant... so probably not.
  15. No, because when you hit 10 everything still works.... so there's no urgency... then you submit ticket or call (much faster if it is somewhat urgent) and they will take care of it... nothing automatic about it. it's a manual process.
  16. nothing.... you'll just have to open a ticket or call line6 to get it reset.
  17. just like amplifi.... the editor is all tablet... so iOS and android.
  18. here's the correct link: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=6347 i've used the updater on my mac numerous times.
  19. not sure how you missed it... but you can update it through a mac... just get line6 updater from the downloads on the site.
  20. the hd500 and hd500x where usb2 just FYI, I don't have any info on the USB hardware standard that Helix uses.... but it is robust.
