2 different guitar tracks? or do you just want to record your one track in stereo? the source is mono... and it would probably be easier to just copy the recording to another track if you want to do separate processing. not sure exactly why you have pod farm involved at all at the recording stage if you're just trying to capture dry tracks....

Variax workbench is no longer being updated. you have a JTV right? (based on the forum you're posting too) you would likely want to use Workbench HD (different program) the issue you're having is that the newer operating system is dropping the second digit on the identification... .meaning it sees 10.10 as 10.1 some other guys in the forum had figured out a way to make it work... might have to search though... as i cant recall offhand.

DI requested that amps be added to ideascale one at a time so that they can be better gauged... go ahead and add the ones you want if they don't exist... get the votes... get the amp... (or at least a better shot at getting the amp.....)

in all likeliness, the next amp being modeled... would be the one with the highest votes on ideascale for all to see... will it be the next released? will it come in a pack after they finish 10 or 15? will it be free? ... it's really all a wait n see.. but the clues are on ideascale.

as silverhead said they will be the same... i do believe that's the primary reason that the rack unit is at 3u rather than the more desirable 2u

as long as you don't mind popping noises and inconsistent use from model to model... sure... it's possible... just absolutely not practical.... not to mention a liquid foot controller can costs loads more than a pod hd.... making it a further impracticality...

If it truly is an amp issue I would bet that any competent amp tech that works on solid state stuff could sort it out. It's the things that make a vetta a vetta that would be hard to source. But z power amp issue should be common.

both of those amps were released before the MK2 version of the FBV existed... so nothing was designed to work with function 2 as it did not exist before hand.... there is no way to "program" function 2 to do anything (outside of line6 releasing a firmware update... THEY can...YOU can't) the FBV boards are essentially dumb controllers and only do what the amp is capable of.

pod farm 1.x is free and should still work. (also unsupported) but you should be able to run gearbox still in a compatibility mode. trying to find a way forward with the existing software above, upgrading, or just using your guitarport as an input device for other software.... is your paths forward.

You will need latest version of fw and software. Keep in mind that means variax workbench software and not workbench HD for your model.

You cannot import tones. I suspect it will be a little bit of a learning curve. But nothing too bad given your xt experience.
