  1. pod xt live, pod x3, pod x3 pro, pod hd 500, pod hd pro, and workbench interface 500x and pro x will not work with original workbench (only with workbench HD and new JTV/standard variaxes)
  2. to my knowledge the only thing thats not working is the gearbox player portion... but you should be able to install pod farm 1.x (not 2.x) to play as well.(it does not have a "player" in it though)
  3. it should also be noted that you can't use the old version of workbench with a pod hd500x or pro-x
  4. sounds like you don't have a license for the upgrade.... you need to install pod farm 1.x not 2.x 2.x costs money.
  5. What i'm telling you in as nice a way as possible, and without any ill intent.... is that the Gearbox software will not be updated... so any help might be found amongst the community of users... there will not be any official Line6 changes to gearbox. the user community might be able to experiment with older or newer drivers... or various computer settings... but there will be no update to gearbox. sorry.
  6. i didnt say it didn't work.... i said it has not been supported... a notable difference. gearbox didn't change... your operating system did... gearbox works the same as it ever did with other operating systems.
  7. post it on ideascale... get a posse, they like those rumors. :)
  8. don't know much about the link of which you speak! but i did recognize the profile pic/like on my comment! :) EDIT: i did see the link... which im not sure was a link... something on the video... but it was more about their pickups... may not have even been the helix in that video.
  9. it quite literally could go from 20 seconds to 2... or from 2 to 20... you have to balance optimizing some things with the cost or benefit of making changes.... most people would be bothered more by a gap in preset switching than they would an extra 5 seconds of boot time... i understand you're a special case... and i'm sure they will try to do their best... but there are always trade off's...

  11. another one of those questions that can't be definitively answered until the firmware is complete.
  12. Yes, the HD pods are not going away. although i'm not sure to which bugs you refer.... it's a pretty mature product and i don't expect alot of changes...
  13. call them: http://line6.com/company/contact/ this is just a user forum and you're unlikely to get contact with anyone directly from line6 here.
  14. I'm not a Line6 rep... what i'm telling you is that even if they answered you now... today... in this thread here... the answer could change by the time it gets released. and what's the problem with actually knowing once it is released? you can't have it til then anyway....
  15. this is a question they can't answer definitively until the firmware is finalized\optimized.
  16. you need to get pod farm 1.x or pay for a license for 2.x
  17. sorry, it has to be that special 100$ box that comes with workbench. or a variax enabled pod... xt live, x3 live/pro, or pod hd500\hdpro
  18. uninstall workbench and all versions of java... reinstall workbench and it should install the version of java that it wants.
  19. there's a whole lot of focusrite interfaces, if you happen to have one with a SPDIF in, just use Helix that way using your current interface?
  20. no... they just dont support beta operating system... the whole time ios9 is in beta... the software continues to work on ios8 the released and supported system. when ios9 is released, every currently for sale line6 item will be appropriately supported on it.
  21. the flipside... is if they have to pick one feature over the other... because of whatever reason... would you want them to work on the ones that benefit you.... of course.... don't be silly... it's YOUR vote... and YOUR opinion that you are adding to the mix.... everyone else has the same opportunity.... go for the throat man.... :D they can vote negative with or without my encouragement... and the cream is still going to float to the top.... numbers don't lie... why not try and make the best cream possible?
  22. there is not now, nor will there ever be support for any operating system that is currently considered beta.
  23. mostly right... the models themselves were written into all the firmwares... i believe that they were included in the firmware on the 89's in one of the custom slots. all the other models could download the workbench files and load them... or build their own version using workbench... since the models were available there.
  24. i see plain as day what it says... not arguing that.... but the release date doesnt add up.... they did not have windows 10 drivers available in 2013. clearly a problem somewhere on Line6's end.... but also in following the issue... many windows 10 beta users had no issues until the last few RC builds.... so all that access wouldn't necessarily equal useful....
