it was from enough days ago, to try and help users hold off on the update, of that was something that was important to them. sorry you missed it. they are very obviously working on an update... it only makes sense that if they're going to do it... to do it right... taking longer than you'd like clearly.... but still an important process for them to undertake.

they did give info: http://line6.com/support/forum-70/announcement-70-ios-9-compatibility-statement/

It works on a PC with drivers... its class compliant on a mac.... i don't have any idea what the experience would look like on a surface... pretty close to a PC, but it's a tablet if i'm not mistaken.

moved to fx100 forum.... no use being in the x3 forum.

SonicPortVX not supported in iOS9
TheRealZap replied to gkaraffa's topic in Sonic Port devices / Mobile In
I'm certain they plan to support iOS9, when it is ready and they get apple approval. but you are correct... iOS9 is not yet supported. -
the good news is that all monkey does is check for latest versions of software.... you can do that yourself from the download links.... on the rare occasion that monkey needs to do a firmware update, swap the files back... none of the newer products coming out will use monkey... mostly replaced by the line6 updater. before you get too upset with my response.... i do not work for line6... i'm merely sharing what i do know with you....

Variax 300 And Hd 500 .. How Well Do They Work?
TheRealZap replied to beatle123's topic in Variax Guitars / Bass / Workbench
the factory patches for the variax were removed as of version 1.8x to accommodate the new HD accoustics. for the most part they were not needed as much with the JTV's since you don't have to build a custom model to do an alternate tuning. (the patches were always on the variax and not the pod, just required VDI and pod to access... FYI/for clarity) and correct... -
it's not really any sort of usable boost... it only lightly boosts the preamp to the poweramp interaction changing the voice slightly... its not really something you would turn on for a solo or whatnot... but if you're making a little amp factory out of the DT options... you can use it to change the tone a little.

Workbench compatibility with Pod hd500x and variax 300?
TheRealZap replied to ioscommuter's topic in POD HD
just to double check something... it's the 500 and not the 500x right? the 500x will not work with the older variaxes no matter what you do. -
sounds like you're doing it right to me. which probably doesn't help much, since i have no ideas for you... but you're doing exactly what you should be doing, and the amp is not behaving as expected.

I've used the looper, pretty close to the hd500 looper. i think the wah sounds are improved. part of that could be the physical sweep of the pedal itself, the pedal construction is alot different than previous L6 stuff... and it seems to make it easier to control for me.
-
so easy to think it's a peculiar feature... with limited appeal... but spoils you so quick... and before you know... it's just awesome, amazing, and one of those things you just gotta try for yourself.
-
It's not finished.... there's no accurate answer to be had. stated a few times... pretty definitive.

I've used the Helix. Not a line6 employee... not a marketing... anything... i was expressly answering the part about the computer interface which is why i trimmed the quote. was not addressing his first impression in any manner... that will speak for itself.
-
you cannot use the midi ports with your computer... they only worth with other hardware.

the onboard interface will be exactly the same as the computer editor... very few things would be easier on the computer (renaming presets for instance)
-
the pedal is only a controller, it will only do what your amp is capable of. maybe the amp is limiting those functions because they do not otherwise exist? the pedal doesn't add anything that isn't already there. I don't have a spider II to reference... but i suspect that this is possibly what's happening.

i clicked accept on both the links above and the software began to download... you might have some security software on your machine causing issues... any other users care to confirm? works for me.

windows: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=2732 mac: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=2731 just tested both downloads as working... no idea what you're doing wrong.

UX2 - OSX 10.11 El Capitan - No sound
TheRealZap replied to tonyjross's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
they've never ever released a driver to support a beta operating system ever... drivers will likely be updated within the first 3 months of release.... but even that depends on what hardware you want drivers for... -
It's called continuing their efforts... no dragging... they are probably more anxious to release it than you are to get it.

firehawk falls in with the X-series and HD series modeling.... helix will be all new modeling. i think vetta falls between 2.0 and X-series the XT/X3 are the same modeling generation "X-Series"

Use UX1 Toneport as USB Interface Only
TheRealZap replied to tdhampton's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
you have to change the input in sys prefs like you did... but then also tell garageband which input you want to record. i believe... :) here's a quick look at those settings http://us.focusrite.com/answerbase/selecting-inputsoutputs-in-garageband -
believe it will come with power cable, usb cable, thumb drive with manual. and no case included.

dont need battery unless you are using models... sounds like your model selector knob isnt working right... should go off when you push it... and with a pod hd500 or better you should be able to send both mags and models over VDI so you wouldn't need 2 connectors, and you can force the selection in your tone.....
