  1. keep in mind, he can't say/commit to any future plans publicly.... "not right away" means there's a good chance that it's been considered for future and not ruled out at this time.... for all intents and purposes i take that to mean "more than likely" but clearly he knows more than i do... and can say more than i can... but also can't say what he can't say :D glad i cleared that up :D
  2. possibly... depends on your license.... some line6 licenses are tied to the hardware.... being pod farm 2, i suspect that's NOT the case... however... pod farm does require an ASIO interface... so if your built in card does not have ASIO drivers... it won't work.
  3. the relationship is that they share the same models... that's it.... even pod farm 1.x matched the x3 not the XT you should primarily use pod farm in the context of your studio recordings... not really in any context directly with the XT. its doubtful if you created a pod farm 2 tone if you'd be able to use edit to get it on your XT.... pod farm allows dual chains... xt does not pod farm allows multiple effect of the same type.... xt does not pod farm is limited by the processor of your computer.... the xt is considerably more limited by it's own processor.
  4. I suggest giving them a call: http://line6.com/company/contact/ explain your situation and see if they have any options for you.
  5. you can't... pod farm 2 has capabilities that the XT cannot take advantage of.
  6. They just fixed the search and you can now submit a ticket online. hope that helps.
  7. just checked, and yeah it's messed up for sure... faster to call during business hours monday through friday... unfortunately only Line6 HQ can helps... but i will bring this thread to their attention, they may respond to you here directly, or help you open a ticket.
  8. they must have changed it at some point.... it does say its compatible with iOS 5.1 which would include the ipad 1st generation... wouldn't want to risk it myself if buying an ipad... that could change at any time... which may leave you unable to use potential upgrades... but it's great that it's working now. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stagescape-remote/id529370822?mt=8
  9. you either don't have a license for version 2.x (use version 1.x or pay for a license) or you need to authorize with the license manager.
  10. No, those do not have a variax port, only the xt live of the xt pods.
  11. very responsive to your guitar volume in a way that previous modeling just never did for me... but yes, improved all the way around.
  12. call line6 (faster) or open a ticket.... they will fix it for you: http://line6.com/company/contact/
  13. will not work, need separate midi interface.... the built in midi will not see the usb, and therefore cannot see monkey or the update.
  14. maybe they just moved the date, because all of their expected first shipment is spoken for? no reason to jump to the worst possible conclusion first...
  15. not sold new.... still supported with software upgrades, and even has availability to get the new model packs.
  16. they added L6Link to the yet to be released Helix.... Line6Link is here to stay. i believe all the speakers also have other inputs, so even if Line6Link went away... the speakers would remain as useful as the competitors.
  17. they are working on that, i believe it's pinned at the top of the forum with information from the service manager.
  18. the break in compatibility with pod farm 2... was more than just intentional... it actually was the entire point of pod farm 2 the x3 is limited in hardware... and cannot do certain things.. like multiple delays for example.... sorry... i don't make the decisions... but to some degree i understand them... like recycling gearbox as the editor was likely to save a small fortune and a ton of time since it already had all of the components... the x3 is basically like 2-xt's a different file extension may sound like a good idea for pod farm 2... but then you break compatibility for people that upgraded from pod farm 1 (and some generally had zero concern for x3 compatibility) anyway.... they arrived where they are at by a series of thought out compromises... and sometimes those compromises are of limited resources... meaning they could have made everything great with unlimited cash and unlimited time.... but that's not the reality.
  19. i just use the sub out on the rc300 to my PA. if that's appropriate to what you're doing.
  20. I think it's fine... and light years better than what james tyler puts on his own line of guitars.
  21. gearbox is the editor and it works fine, except for the built in player that stopped working... make sure you completely upgrade both gearbox and the x3 firmware before you start sifting through the files... only files from pod farm 2 will not work typically... anything from XT, and pod farm 1 should work.
  22. also pretty important to keep the "tone control" setting in mind for the acoustic models...
  23. no... they aren't broke... they (acoustic models) were changed in firmware 1.8x intentionally... and all models were changed intentionally in 2.0+ some don't like them... and subjectively that's as right as anything... but i'm also as right when i say they are crazy all the HD 2.x+ models are far superior... better dynamics and more authentic overall. that's my opinion and it's every bit as subjectively valid as yours... spreading some sort of rumor that they are somehow broke... does not make that factual.
  24. they were all a bit easier than the challenger....
  25. yes you can download it.... but you cant use it without the interface.
