  1. someone asked if there was an alternative.... they may or may not have an android device... i simply stated that one was available... not that anyone should buy it. this fix will be done soon... so you probably should not buy an android device for this reason.... but if you had one already... this would be good information for you.
  2. ios9 has been out for 2 weeks... sorry but the timer doesn't start when you decide....
  3. i didnt say replace anything... i said there was an alternative (you can get android devices for under 50$ if its important enough to you...) if not... then i guess hang in there... because the fix is coming... i've been on these forums for over a decade dude... posts add up... although i owe you no explanation... thanks for the attempted insult though... when i was just trying to offer some information.
  4. only thing to try is either a power supply (line6 px2) or a trip to the service center... in my own personal experience... i found replacement ended up being the option that made the most sense.
  5. they are working on it and it will be fixed. i know this. they do offer an alternative.... android.
  6. clearly there was a cost... if you read the statement that was marked as answered.... many users were damaging their amps by improperly flashing.... the statement also says that they would make it available by contacting support... perhaps they just want to go over a checklist of things first and save you some potential trouble....? or i suppose we could assume the worst instead....
  7. the platinum part is tied to the device... the 35$ license was just the pod farm 2.5 standard software... which turns to platinum with the DI-G model pack licenses... so you cant sell platinum unless you include the device... the model packs will be hardware dependent... but not the PF 2.5 software.
  8. pretty much... although you do have options to change some things in your scenario.... so it's not 100% always like that (if you change the settings) i personally just use the bottom row for presets and i have some common effects set on the top row... so i dont have to change modes as often....
  9. you do realize that the product has been off the market since like 2007, right? no offense... but i love how everyone forgets that apple left every owner hanging when they dropped PPC support....
  10. sorry, i meant to come back and say something... but yeah. reported it when you posted it and they fixed it pretty quick :)
  11. Just an idea. And more a response to the topic than your personal issues.
  12. They don't support beta operating systems. The only time that matters is time after its released. Clearly it needs done. Clearly they are working on it. Sorry you are unhappy. But this is the current reality none the less.
  13. unplug everything.... restart computer and plug the usb that goes to the pod into a different port.... plug the power and usb back into the pod and flash again.
  14. nah, i just prefer to leave things on.... idle power is less harmful to electronics than the power it takes to start them up... i get to play quicker, and its always right where i left it in terms of dialing it in or whatever... it would still be on if i still had it! :)
  15. Mine was on for something like 4 years straight.... and it's still alive. :) i think you'll be ok.
  16. doesn't matter... they are working on an update... that is what matters.
  17. i'd like poly tuner myself... but strobe would be a cool option too!
  18. looks fine on mine... you might have some security software on your system blocking the css
  19. That would be interesting to see! i do believe it is an RJ45 connector.
  20. what planet do you live on? on this one... you're only responsible for what you actually print on the box... not some future whatever.... and they are working on an update. i realize you wouldn't have iOS9 if you had any patience.... but that's what it's going to take....
  21. Phil is correct... i would further clarify that the foot controller will not have midi ports to directly interact with any other gear without the Helix Rack in the middle.
  22. moving to amplifi forums... but i believe they've stated they are actively working on it....
  23. its going to be as long as it takes to get it right... and then get it approved to the apple store.... noone would want it any sooner... i believe that someone posted a response from line6Tony stating that they are actively working on it. so that means sooner rather than later... again... sorry you don't like the answer... but they are not going to commit to an artificial release date because of the many various factors... (bugs, testing, apples' approval process, and anything else foreseen or unforeseen....)
  24. 1. the controller is pricey at 500$, a screen would have made it impossible to sell... i believe that the controller has ports for footpedals of your choosing. 2. the primary reason you wouldn't want to use another controller (although you could...) would be the foot edit mode... but there is also the text on the scribble strips and the color rings indicating effects type.... and no... none of the other line6 pedals will work with it... 3. i believe you can access most things via midi... although i suspect that some finer and deep control options would not be available.
  25. Line6 has rights to the name for it's use... as does tc electronics for theirs.... i'm certain their legal teams were very vigilant about choosing the name... the only "helix" on (L6) helix is on the bootup screen, it's a very clean exterior. (it clearly has the name and branding logo on the rear....)
