  1. its still a 2 channel amp... as you'll no doubt find out.
  2. according to the itunes page the specs: Requirements: Compatible with iPad. Requires iOS 5.1 or later. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stagescape-remote/id529370822?mt=8 This means that it will work with any current Ipad including ipad 1 if that's the root of your question. but it also says specs subject to change... so a later version MAY require iOS6+ you never know...
  3. are you sure you don't have some sort of sound enhancement on in windows media player, like surround or 3d sound or whatever...
  4. yeah you can do it with any of the pod HD's except the 300/400
  5. I think nearly any shop, would charge you 50$ +parts at a minimum... not too far from picking up a second hand replacement. i'm just guessing though, and all the shops are independent and set their own prices.... so you might give them a call. what kind of issues are you having?
  6. I'm glad you are here to voice the opinion (err fact, according to you) of "most"
  7. they surely would have mentioned that! they've actually taken down all reference to 2.0, and have been very quiet since the super early announcement a year ago.
  8. plug the usb cable into a different port on your computer, sorry if it sounded like i meant something else.
  9. should still work without internet access, but i have seen changing ports help, since it reinitializes a new instance of the driver.
  10. he was talking about using 500x tones on a 500... the factory ones... are the same... however, 500x tones can exceed the capabilities of the 500 and won't always work.
  11. probably obvious... but the volume needs to be turned up... the electronics turn off if its dialed all the way down...
  12. everyone of those proposed options will work with the variax workbench... outside of that the best one would depend on your needs and wants! personally i'd not go with an x3 unless you got a great deal... it will never be updated with future features.
  13. that's typically the way it goes.... i'd be surprised to see much of that this go around ;)
  14. only the 500x, 500, hdpro, x3live, x3pro, xtlive, xtpro,vetta2, vetta with expansion... and the usb drive.. thats it. you can still buy the interface if you wanted... http://www.amazon.com/Line-6-Variax-Workbench-1-5/dp/B000JKR81A/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1376137099&sr=8-6&keywords=variax personally i'd put the money towards a used pod that fit the bill... just think its more bang for the buck.
  15. its always going to do that.... by design as phil suggests... the primary difference between stack vs combo is stack=closed back and combo=open back in a general sense, it's making adjustments to accommodate those common scenarios.
  16. I don't think you can do any sort of copying without workbench.
  17. good point! alot of electric acoustic have a tuner built in... so that may help that. sure beats plugging/unplugging things anyway!
  18. I think you could still make it work with a well placed AB or ABY pedal in your loop chain. But yeah a little extra tap dancing.
  19. yes 100% especially if you had not started creating any you wanted to keep... i like to do this everytime as a clean slate... and just restore my bundle after the fact.
  20. you might give them a call or open a ticket... http://line6.com/support/tickets/
  21. the pod hd (500/500x)is probably the ideal mate to it... it has some advantages over the m13.. programmable midi... 8 possible effects/amp slots... amp models... things like such
  22. it's not the streams.. its the processing behind them...
