    the fx loop on the pod... not the amp... it will send that out the L6LINK... but i see your acoustic use doesn't allow that... you probably just need to get an ABY switch to use the loop for both.

    yes, you can use hd pro and 500 tones.

    I think if you pinch the topology down and pentode up, while powering on, the amp will go back to default settings. not 100% sure, but I do recall that i had to do this myself one time.

    easy is all in what you're used to... i find things like cubase and power tools crazy complicated... i personally would recommend mixcraft or garageband for my version of easy... but it's a very subjective topic... many have demos that you can try to decide for yourself.

    DAW=digital audio workstation. goldwave sounds like it's probably a DAW, just not a common or familiar one to me.

    have you tried downloading the FBV control software? http://line6.com/software/index.html I don't use it like you are trying to... but I think that the software helps you map it for the kind of use you're looking for.

    sounds like there is something wrong with your DNS, can you set your DNS to 8.8.8.8 temporarily?

    you can't use both at the same time... unplug one to use the other... of course i can't tell you how to setup guitar rig after that...

    the internal hardware of the X3 is only USB 2.0, so you will not get any benefit by plugging into a USB 3.0 port... in fact i've seen reports that a USB 3.0 port can hurt performance.

    a marketing department is gonna do... what a marketing department does :) they no doubt list the sonic port as the second coming as well...

    yeah complaints are common... people that like them... those people are too busy playing to come here and sing praises every few months when those that don't like them get rowdy.... nothing wrong with not liking them... it's subjective and your opinion.... but unless you have some sort of scientific survey... best to present it as just that... your opinion.

    i think you can "flatten" by basically having the looper be post.... and you can probably control the harmonizer like you want with the 500... i've not tried it specifically, but you can assign effects parameters to the expression pedal. anyway I may be wrong, but someone will surely point that out lickety split! :D

    monkey would install them for you... and they are also part of the pod farm installer... i tend to like getting them seperately first, and then getting whatever else.

    the control panel that is part of the UX2 drivers.... as in windows control panel... although the same utility exists in the mac system preferences too.... you DO have to have the drivers installed... but not pod farm. (and not monkey either really)

    always the manual.... http://line6.com/support/manuals/fbvemkii you can also do vol/wah. and tuner funtions as well as update the amp... the real way to figure it out though is actually the manual for your AMP... (not the link above) essentially the floorboard is just a dumb controller.. it can't do anything that your amp can't do.

    you probably need to go into the control panel and adjust which input is active.

    It is not needed. Not sure what you missed. But you can use it without pod farm.

    that's exactly what i'd do with single tones... bundles and setlists may not work that way though (haven't tried)

    the acoustic models were already upgraded and released. I'm pretty sure that those will not change.

    yes dsp limit is the reason... 500 and pro are not a problem for the most part (the pro has different inputs so if that's not available on the 500 it wont work.) never seen a side by side... or even an internal pic of the 500x...
