It could be possible, but it depends on the device you want to control. The Helix can send up six MIDI commands per snapshot, so that part is simple.
-
What are the steps you’re using to set the max and min values? The main thing is they have to be set after selecting the expression pedal as the controller. I’ve seen some people get confused by the Learn function in this regard. You hit the Learn knob to select the controller, and after that, you go and set the max and min values.
-
The problem with going that route is that the Helix still only has two channels of relay control.

The only way I know is this: http://www.voodoolab.com/controlswitcher.htm I believe Voodoo Lab will make you a custom cable to connect the Multi output of the Control Switcher to the 7-pin input on the amp. Then you’d be able to tie the various amp functions to specific MIDI commands.

Do you have a stereo source plugged into it?

0.0dB is all the way to right. The meters don’t show anything above that. They just turn red to indicate you’re hitting it. I was also a little surprised I haven’t heard anyone talk about the lack of a scale. One thing is that they’re just showing the output level at the output block, not at the final converter. It will apply to the final converter if you have the large volume knob all the way up, but I don’t believe the final converter starts clipping until a few dB past 0.0.

It sounds to me like you’d be better off with the HX Effects or Stomp. They’re a little more but each give you complete flexibility with the signal chain. They also have a slightly more powerful SHARC chip, so the DSP limit isn’t quite as big an issue.

Try using different USB cables and/or ports and try running the update again. It should eventually go through. This link has some additional information.

Probably just that the tap/tuner footswitch on every Line 6 floor processor and controller has worked that way since they started making them. The Stomp is the only one where you can actually assign that footswitch to a different function.

Go to Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo>Send PC and set it to Off. This will disable the default MIDI PC that’s associated with each preset from being sent when you load a preset.

These forums, and manufacturer forums like this in general, have been slowing down over the last few years. Many manufacturers have simply gotten rid of them. There’s more action on social media nowadays. There’s at least one POD Go group on Facebook. This one has just under 900 members currently: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2726552727405574/?ref=share

Did you see my first response? I answered these questions.

You've always been able to do that. Go to Global Settings>Footswitches>Preset Mode Footswitches and select Stomp/Presets.

You posted your question at midnight on a Friday night (at least in the US)...

Not sure I understand what you’re asking... If you have blocks assigned to footswitches, those footswitches will still work regardless of what snapshot you’re in. Whether or not the effects remain that way in the snapshot after you go to another one depends on how you have the Snapshot Edits parameter set in the Global Settings menu. If you have it set to Recall, the changes will remain. If you have it set to Discard, the snapshot will go back to the way it originally was when you load it again.

You don't need to go to the Command Center. On the unit itself, hit the Menu button and hit the footswitch to go to Signal Flow View. Once there, navigate to the effect you want to change to momentary. In the scribble strip above FS2, you'll see it says, "Move Block", "Path" and "Switch" (the Switch parameter is where you can manually select what footswitch you want to assign the effect to). Hit the > button to go to the next page of parameters. Below knob 1, you'll see the Type parameter where you can select Latching or Momentary. You want to select Momentary to do what you're describing in the first post.

Are you sure you're using the latest version of HX Edit (2.92)? I went and checked this again in HX Edit with my Rack, and it's still showing up...

I don't believe the Firehawk FX is discontinued. Where are you seeing that? As far as a successor, though, the POD Go would be that.

Well, in the Flat or User IR modes, it won’t really sound like n amp in the room. It’s acting as an FRFR playback system in those modes, so it’s more comparable to what you’d hear from a floor wedge or other monitor when connected to a PA system. The amp in the room thing really only comes into play when you use Speaker Mode and the on-board speaker modeling. For that, you’d want to disable the cab or IR block I your Helix preset and use the Powercab as your cab.

When you say the Helix Volume is at 11, do you mean the big volume knob on the Helix is at 11 o’clock? I usually crank that up all the way, or keep it somewhere around 3 o’clock.

What specific product are you talking about? It still shows up in my Helix Rack.

I’m sure Line 6 has a way to cross reference them, but I don’t think there’s anything in the number that indicates the year or month directly.
-
That’s interesting. I’d not really thought about that. I would kind of expect the playback to stop, but on the other hand, the Looper block is never really bypassed in a preset. So I don’t know... I’m not sure what the intended behavior would be. It might be worth opening a support ticket about to bring to their attention.
