I think most people have very positive experiences with Line 6 support. When you say you've "written letters", have you opened up a support ticket? What exactly is the issue you're having?
-
It died after 1.5 hours? You should have the full six hours. I’d suggest exchanging it through the retailer or opening up a support ticket. Opening a support ticket would be helpful to Line 6 in that it could help them track things down.

Well, I have the FM3. It's a fine device, and it sounds good. I'd say the same thing about the Helix. I did own the Fractal AX8 briefly, but I really didn't give it much of a chance. I couldn't make heads or tails of the hardware apart from the editor. The FM3 is a little better in that respect, but still not great. UI isn't Fractal's strong suit, for sure. I know people rave about Fractal's editors, but I think FM3 Edit is rather clunky and slow, too. There are just too many freaking tabs and knobs. The thing is, there are some people who love that about it. So it depends on what type of person you are. To me, the design intent behind each device is so different, that even though they're both modelers, they're really in different universes. The Helix is the first multi-FX that makes me feel like I'm playing with real pedals. Not in the sense that everything is exactly the same, but in the fact that changing stuff is immediate, and turning knobs and changing parameters is a very interactive thing. I don't get that feeling with other modelers. To me, the thing that is nice about the FM3 is that there's a level of curation as far as the IRs that are paired with each amp model. It's different than Line 6's approach. Line 6 is very much about giving you a blank slate. Fractal seem to pick IRs that highlight certain qualities in the amp models. The other thing that's kind of cool with the FM3 is that multi-function switching. You can do a lot with the three footswitches. However, it's also kind of annoying after awhile. It seems that whatever you want to do on the FM3, you have to hold down a footswitch to get the next view. If I really wanted to use the FM3 live, I'd probably want the FC6 to go along with it. That's another $500, though.

I had similar concerns about hitting two footswitches to get into snapshot mode on the HX Effects, but I have to say, it quickly became a non-issue. I’ve played a ton of gigs with it it now, and I really don’t find it difficult.

You need to update HX Edit. Most of the time, the firmware version and version of HX Edit should match, but 2.90 is the latest version of HX Edit right now.

Relay G10 Update Not Compatible Mac OS 10.15.4
phil_m replied to mcconnel's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
It has to do with Apple's notarization process. Instructions on how to get past it can be found here: -
Well, there’s a new POD out now...
-
Well, they’re not going to fix anything, most likely. The update decreased the charging capacity of the transmitter, and yours may have been lower to begin with. Because of the way the voltage degradation curves work on these batteries, the decrease isn’t always linear. Anyways, the best thing you can do is open up a support ticket. Depending on the age of your transmitter, they may send you a replacement.

There was a hotfix patch released, 2.91, that you should install.

Sounds like you have things connected incorrectly.

Line 6 Helix LT used and I think its not the original power cable.
phil_m replied to nathanael1206's topic in Helix
It’s fine. It most likely is the original power cable. The Helix, Helix Rack and LT use a standard, off-the-shelf IEC cable. There’s nothing special about it at all. What you’re seeing is the difference between the listed rating of the cable itself and the actual voltage requirements of the Helix. The Helix will run at any AC voltage between 100 and 240V. The cable is rated to voltages up to 250V. -
This has to do with the Auto setting for the Input Z parameter in the Input Block. With this setting, the input impedance is changed to match whatever the input impedance of the first pedal in your signal chain is in real life, and it affects it regardless of that block’s bypass state. So, with a fuzz, you probably want to have the lower impedance when it’s active, but not when it’s off. You can approach it a few different ways. You can assign the Input Z parameter to a footswitch, preferably the same footswitch as the fuzz, so that the value toggles between the lower level and higher level. Or you can assign Input Z to the Snapshot Controller and change the value per snapshot.

Did you install the 2.91 hotfix?
-
Try holding down FS9 & FS10 while powering up. That will do a factory reset. Then try restoring from backup after that.

If the DT25 isn’t responding to the settings in the output block on the Helix, it means you need to update your DT25 to the 2.0 firmware. You’ll need a USB to MIDI interface to do it (the Helix won’t work for this), and once you have that, you can use Line 6 Monkey to send the update. As far as the DT25, the Helix and L6 Link, the implementation is different than it was with the HD series. The power amp setting will not change automatically like they do with the HD. You have to program the settings you want on a per preset or per snapshot basis.

Have you opened up a support ticket? https://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html

Have you installed the 2.91 hotfix? It should take care of this issue.

Sonic Port for Making Videos on iOS
phil_m replied to samcross85's topic in Sonic Port devices / Mobile In
Yes, you can do this. You don’t really need to do anything to set it up, really. As soon as you plug in the SonicPort, it will become the audio interface for your device. -
Controlling the Powercab plus from Helix LT with a L6 link cable
phil_m replied to paulcanning's topic in Powercab
This is correct. The Powercab’s display doesn’t change in response to what’s happening over the L6 Link connection. -
I’m sure some of you’re global settings have changed. It sounds like perhaps the outputs were set to instrument or mic level before and now they’re set to instrument level, so now you’re clipping the input for the speaker.
