  1. You can try the Bender or the Synth Lead
  2. Hand to the guitar pot has been my noise gate for years!!
  3. Welcome to the forums!! There is a customtone section. Which device do you have? http://line6.com/customtone/
  4. I think you push the Tune button and scroll with the select knob to get to the contrast screen and adjust with the tweak.
  5. What are you recording into? btw, if you have POD Farm 2.0 you should upgrade to 2.5 for free, download the newest Monkey and get all the updates. This probably is not the issue but let's get that part sorted first. http://line6.com/software/
  6. Download Line6 Edit. You will need USB to MIDI cables. Line6 recommends M-Audio Uno.
  7. +1 to BigChas Make sure your speakers/monitors, or headphones are connected directly to the UX. If no, I'm guessing you are monitoring thru Reapers monitoring function which is likely the issue.
  8. It depends on the site and/or software. In the pc world the UX is really meant to used as an ASIO device. If the software has an option for selecting the ASIO device use that. If not, check the sound control panel in Windows and make sure you are using the UX as the playback and recording device. Worst case scenario you can run the analog outs of the UX into your pc's sound card. @ RIblues How long ago did you give up on blondes?? :o
  9. If you use L & R analog outs you can use this http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CMP153
  10. You do not absolutely need the USB to MIDI, but that will allow you to use Line6 Edit to edit your tones. You can also automate it with MIDI, but if you are just learning to record I wouldn't worry about the automation yet. To record if you use the headphone out you will need a TRS 1/4 cable and a TRS 1/4" to 1/8" to get stereo. Or 2 1/4" cable to one TRS 1/8" or to 1/4" with 1/8" TRS adopter.
  11. it may look something like this http://res1.windows.microsoft.com/resbox/en/windows%207/main/8440e487-7ae3-427b-a9b7-c861a5521758_69.jpg the red, blue, and green 1/8 are fairly universal.
  12. Yes,. You can either use the Left and Right analog outs of the POD 2.0 to a stereo 1/8" jack (TRS) to your computer's Line In or the Headphone out to Line In. Chances are at minimum your computer has an integrated sound card already. Not necessarily the best for recording, but it is a start. What is your computer?
  13. Technically both of those cable are the same. However, many users have reported mix results the cheaper MIDI to USB cables. That is not to say they won't work. Line6 recomends M-Audio Uno http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Uno/ Also, this is only for MIDI communication for editing and/or automating the POD 2.0. It will not send audio to your computer, for that you would need to run the analog outs or headphone out to your pc's line in.
  14. Make sure it outputs 9V AC (not DC) a spec overlooked by many and at least 2,000mA
  15. +1 to radatats Just to clarify, are you wanting to hear just the POD HD or just the DAW trax, or a mix if both?
  16. You could try the headphone out jack into the M-Audio. I have seen many users use this approach with the Pocket Pods. Are you sending stereo tot he M-Audio?
  17. Just to eliminate something simple, have you tried turning the Output level up on the POD 2.0?
  18. Do you have all your current Windows and Cubase updates?
  19. My first set of studio monitors did that on almost any E-flat. At first I thought it was something in the room resonating. Was happy with the $500 purchase, until I hit an E-flat. Got a refund and used a book shelf stereo until I saved up more $$$.
