  1. Try unplugging your ethernet cable but leave the port enabled.
  2. Another vote for Reaper, powerful DAW for the price, great documentation, and an active forum.
  3. This is easily accomplished with DAW's that support ASIO. The UX2 has 4 available outputs (wet L/R and Dry L/R) which can be configured in PF's mixer view. Audacity does not support ASIO out of the box (although you can compile it to support ASIO, chack out their wiki). But I haven't used Audacity in ages. When using the UX2 I typically capture the wet and dry simultaneously.
  4. So in Reaper you were selecting AMPLIFi ASIO as your device?
  5. I would try using either your AMPLIFi or your Focisrite with their official ASIO driver and send just a dry track to Reaper, no live monitoring. Also make sure in Reaper you are selecting the ASIO driver. Then add an instance of Helix Native to the track and see if it works. BTW, when you were experiencing the latency, were you selecting the AMPLIFi or Focusrite ASIO device in Reaper (in addition to selecting your interface as the default recording/playback device)?
  6. If you haven't already, please open a support ticket.
  7. Aduacity does not support ASIO out of the box. You can check their wiki on how to compile it to support ASIO. I'll 2nd Lachdanan0121's Reaper recommendation. Demo is free, and dirt cheap for the power you get. They also have great documentation and forum.
  8. Does Monkey show you have the current drivers? Are you running the License Manager?
  9. Meaning if someone authorized the 15 day trial before purchasing and authorizing the full license, I think that may be causing the issue.
  10. except dirty windshields
  11. You should not need a constant internet connection for the full license, just one time to authorize. I know some users are reporting otherwise. I have a hunch after the trial period expires it will be resolved.
  12. POD Farm 2 standalone, launched outside of Cubase in mixer view will have the dropdown selections for instrument/mic. Using this you can hear your tones in real time with or with out Cubase. POD Farm 2 plug-in is launched inside a host DAW, such as Cubase, and you cannot select instrument/mic because it is the track that is feeding it. In the standalone mixer view you can select what you send to your DAW. I typically arm 2 stereo tracks to record and send dry to one and wet to the other. Then after your take, insert an instance of the POD Farm plug-in on the dry track. I would suggest reading the manual and watching some youtube vids. Not being that great with the tech just means you have a bit of a learning curve, but it shouldn't take long to get over the hump.
  13. A convenient work flow with the POD Studio is to monitor the wet with the standalone PF and capture the wet and dry simultaneously. The wet track you capture servers as a reference and the dry track you can apply the PF plug-in (and other plug-ins) post processing.
  14. I did not try any yet, but there are some standalone VST hosts that some users are having success with. But getting one of those up and running may be more of a hassle than downloading a demo of Reaper. Do you still have your HD? Post back if you want to give Reaper a shot, it's not too painful to get an instance of Helix Native up and running in Reaper.
  15. What interface do you have? One approach may be to pass the dry guitar signal, unaffected (no gain adjustment) to your DAW.
  16. Check out this thread concerning Reaper crashing. Might be worth a try. http://line6.com/support/topic/29105-reaper-crashes-when-loading-helix-native/
  17. Yeah, I read manual several times, however, it does not explicitly state that an internet connection is not required. Also on page 3 and from the KB under Minimum Hardware Requirement • Internet connection required for license authorization (and for trial version). Some may interpret this as authorizing each time you open Helix Native. But that's all semantics. ;)
  18. They do not sure up in the editor per se, rather they will show up as models. Check the list of models you get with the bundle and see if you can access them. Also You should see what add-ons are installed on the splash screen when you power on the HD.
  19. I understand what you are saying. What I am saying, to the best of my knowledge, is Helix Native (full license) does not require an internet connection after the initial authorization, it should be a one and done deal. If I physically disconnect, I can still run Helix Native, but it shows days remaining of a trial license. That is what made me think the trial version may be mucking things up.
  20. I wonder if after the trial expires if the behavior will be the same.
  21. Just for clarification, you own the full license? Is so this is not the expected behavior.
