Line 6 device not connected
Triryche replied to speedyanto's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Download and run the Line6 Monkey. The Line6 Updater is not for the POD Studios. -
Are you using the most recent version of Helix Native? If so I would open a support ticket.

Can I use my amplifi tt as a head and plug it into a cabinet
Triryche replied to vlpzlopez's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
The AMP put is approximately instrument and meant to go into the front of an amp. No, you cannot use the TT as your power amp. -

Slow and pitched recordings - Tone Direct
Triryche replied to veefromthesun's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
With Magix are you selecting the Line6 ASIO drivers? Audacity does not support ASIO out of the box, but you can compile it to. -

Recording using Line6 UX2 Pod Farm with Reaper
Triryche replied to Slabotomous's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
The POD Farm plug-in launched within your DAW does not record anything, it just reamps the track you apply it to. The UX has up to 4 sends that can be configured in PF standalone mixer view or the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel. One workflow I typically use with the UX is to record a dry stereo track and a wet stereo track simultaneously. Then insert the PF plug-in on the dry track with the wet track serving as a reference for the tone I was going for. -
TonePort UX8 ToneDirect buffer vs ASIO Client buffer
Triryche replied to OmniFace's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
ASIO = Audio Stream Input Output. ASIO drivers operate at the hardware level to provide low latency. The larger the buffer size the more potential you have for higher latency. The smaller the buffer size the more potential you have to lose data in the bitstream which can cause dropouts, snaps, crackles, and pops. But the amount differs from system to system. Not sure offhand what sizes the names correspond to but I thought it was displayed somewhere in the settings. -

In the pc realm, the specs are only part of the equation, you would need to test drive it on the computer. Two pc's with the "same specs" could behave very differently.

Different sound when going into my Macbook ( HD500X )
Triryche replied to benwells709's topic in POD HD
The HD is your audio interface and should be what you use for playback. Adding another interface will not change how the integrated soundcard on your Mac will sound for playback. -
How are you monitoring? Are you using a DAW?

That's cool!! Download directly from the downloads page. There is a driver installer file where you do not need Monkey. You can also dl PF from there. But you will need to run the License Manager while signed in. Some firewalls and anti-virus apps don't like Monkey but I think you'll be ok with License Manager. Mac or PC?

Not sure if you get Cubase if the UX is 2nd hand, but definitely worth a try. If not you could also call Line6 or open a support ticket to see if they can help you get Cubase.

You most be trying to download from the store, no need for that. Run the Line6 Monkey to install the drivers and POD farm. It should also prompt you to install POD Farm, you do not need to pay for the standard version. Whether you are entitled to PF1 or PF2 depends on your device. You can also go to the downloads page and select from the dropdown menus.

Is it a red Toneport or a black POD Studio? In a nutshell Toneport comes with a free hardware enabled POD Farm Standard standalone license and POD Studio comes with a free hardware enabled POD Farm 2 Standard standalone and plug-in license (There are a few exceptions). If you do not know the difference between standalone and plug-in that is not important at this point. Sometimes a new purchase comes with a free license for a light version of Cubase (a DAW), which is from the company Steinberg, but that is not your current situation. So you will need to decide what DAW to use, and there are many to choose from, most of which have a common core set of functions and features. Seeing as it sounds like you are new to digital recording there may be a bit of a learning curve so I would suggest reading the UX1 manual and watch some tutorials. I currently use Reaper as my main DAW, great bang for your buck, and they have an active forum. You can try the demo for free. Audacity is a free, but if you plan on doing anything beyond simply recordings for fun I would not waste my time on it.

Did you recently purchases the UX1? If so, was it supposed to come with recording software (Digital Audio Workstation, DAW for short)? And if so, what was it supposed to come with?

High gain tone matching with Helix Native
Triryche replied to DeceivedThrush's topic in Helix Native
I would recommend searching the Helix (hardware) forum for tips on dialing. Lots of advice concerning those hi end frequencies. -
The Line6 Monkey is for the POD and UX series, the Line6 Update is for other/newer products like Helix. If you click the download button you will see all the hardware it is for.
