  1. Close, but it's released on 2/21/17... Says me.
  2. Hummm... You have never met a few of the Engineers I work with have you... ;)
  3. Good story Ric. There is always someone with better chops, speed, etc etc out there. I say play for and set goals for your own worst critic. In most cases it will be you. ;)
  4. June 19th is fine with me as long as its done right. Oh yea, and has a tuner for the editor...
  5. Here's what I was getting at. Instead of headphones on creating stage tone's in Helix, let's use a VW engine on an Indy 500 racecar analogy. All you need to do is replace the piston's, add a racing cam, add a bigger block so the cam will fit, and special fuel injected intake manifold, blueprint and then send the head off for proper machining, add racing rods and lifters and oh yea special air intakes and a turbocharger... In other words why don't you just create stage tones in a stage like setting? Wouldn't that be easier than all these headphone redo's, was my point. :D
  6. Any surprises you can tell us now that's not been mentioned in it?
  7. I'm guessing but I doubt everyone else hears the same thing you are hearing, or the whole forum would be in an uproar about how bad Helix sounds and that just ain't the case.
  8. Snapshots added to Helix was great. I'm just glad Fractal implemented "Scenes" a year or 2 beforehand to see its worth. ;)
  9. My setup doesn't sound muffled. The 12" and horn handles the return in (dry) and L&R coaxials handle the effects. As always YMMV, but how is that a mess if it sounds good and works for me? And it's mix is adjustable via the touch of a fader. Try that by just sending a Helix wet XLR straight into the monitor in jack. Not your cup O tea, fine. But its no mess.
  10. Not if you can run the wet's L&R and the dry thru 3 channels in a mixer and control their output levels using sub outs, then send the wet's L&R into the monitor ins L&R, and the dry into the EFX Return (on the FireHawk 1500), as I do with my Kemper. In fact I can completely kill the dry and hear nothing but the wet L&R doing it this way. And it sounds great when mixed right too.
  11. I do "get" what cruis is referring to, only because I also believe the stereo field is destroyed by having the left and right speakers too close to one another and without proper distance and separation.
  12. Ok so you had to redo them, cut hi and low freqs, then adding in additional patch eq, modifying them some more, and it took a few hours of your time, but that's not like starting over from scratch. Those of you that like to redo your patches by using headphones the 1st time out , please follow this man's advice because it doesn't take lots of time. Did I cover that pretty well? ;)
  13. What you want to do is download the latest "Line6 Updater", once you get everything connected. This will "see" your Helix and show you the latest software to install.
  14. You can also get the "wet dry wet" setup using the Return in jack (instead of the guitar in) on the FH1500.
  15. True, that used to be an issue with Fractals AXE FX II > XL+, but if you close the editor window and used scenes to switch in and out, it stopped being an issue. And that was over a year ago back when I had that unit.
  16. Really? That was normal for me on Windoze, but not a Mac. What were you doing when it crashed? Things like data storage stuff running in the background? I don't think I have ever had Logic X (updated to latest of course) crash by itself. But maybe I'm not running as many tracks as you were? Interesting. :) Thats me in a nutshell ^^
  17. What do you mean!?! They fixed the DT50 L6-Link control integration with Helix and added a tuner for the editor!!! ..., errr...., wait... ;) ? It's not any more hassle. You just plug it in and use it like you would the DXR. Now you might have to tweak the FH1500 iPad's apps settings and adjust the master volume level there, but that's all I had to do.
  18. Love Trower. The Univibe sounds he got on the "Bridge of Sighs" album is legend.
  19. I'm not twisting anything. You flatly stated there's an issue with ALL of the FireHawk 1500's and then stated its a normal thing but worse with this model. I asked you for proof and you provided it FOR YOUR UNIT ONLY, in which I stated that yes I hear it, but when you turn up most amps full tilt, you get noise.
  20. No I do not work for Line 6. And that' s the proof I was asking for. :D Now turn up any Fender, marshall, Peavey etc etc all the way up with no input. I bet they are noisy as well.
  21. Well if you are claiming that every FireHawk 1500 has this issue I want to see your proof. Thinking they do, and knowing for sure are two different things, hearing loss or not.... I'm sure if we turn up any amp to max levels with no input, there is some noise. If that's the case then yea I agree. ;)
  22. How many FireHawk 1500's do you own that has this issue? I sounds like you have tried several...
  23. Under the "Levels" icon on my iPad app, moving the "Width" slider control from left to right it says, Mono, Stereo, Stereo wide. Is that it?
