  1. This set sounds pretty good to me. I'll probably pick it up at some point. Thanks Zooey for the heads up!
  2. Well, that latency setting might be off a little. Bump it up to 128 or even 256. Remember latency is only good for "monitoring" while you record along with the rest of the tracks. Playback doesn't matter, only monitoring while in record playback is where latency matters. The lower you can go the better, until it starts acting up, like losing connections, stops recording, has pops and clicks, weird stuff like that.
  3. So is Helix losing connection with Cubase or your other DAWS, or is Cubase or your other DAWS losing connection with Helix? You say that you tried using other DAWS with the same issues. Did you try using another USB cable? Does this same disconnect happen with the Editor? Are you running virus software (or other TSR's) at the same time, maybe in the background? Is your OS up to date? Are your latency/buffer settings right? Are you getting pops and clicks before Helix loses the connection?
  4. See I don't quite understand this because the cabs were intended for "FRFR= Full Range Flat Response" speakers were they not? I agree that sometimes cuts may indeed be needed, but the cabs included in Helix should have been already tweaked for the most part by Line-6. And so all things being equal, the only thing that could change this "nasty sound" is the reference monitor differences themselves.
  5. Age does that eventually to all of us...
  6. That would be a nice add-on indeed, and that would open up the eventual possibility for a "Rig Manager" Line 6 version, for Helix.
  7. Glen works hard at what he does, from what Ive seen. Im not gonna judge the outcome of this work until I can hear them, but I can say the 1st set I bought from him I was pleased with.
  8. Yes, atm you have to go into the editor-pedal settings and slide the volume back up to 100%.
  9. Im not too sure about your last point roscoe. I bet there are "lots" of bands out there right now where the guitarist is using an FRFR setup (like the L2/3/m/t) with loud drummers and bass players. My take on this is that it all depends on how you 1st approach this and how its all dealt with. Ive also seen some that are pointing the FRFR wedges at them from the "front" of the stage, where its working well. So its what you are willing to use, while breaking tradition and getting pass what our Dad did. BTW- Im one of those Dads that is learning a new way. :D
  10. Obviously you have not seen the movie- "Fried Green Tomatoes"...
  11. Id like to add a couple of Strymon pedals to my studio. That said, I doubt Strymon or L6/Helix is going to join a developers love-in any time soon. Their secret is in the sauce and Im betting it will stay that way.
  12. Sounds interesting! Like Reaktor for a guitar amp!
  13. I hear Hillary uses Fractal and Trump is still on his Zoom.... I have a Kemper and Helix. I win....
  14. I have also noticed that on my Mission pedals, I sometimes need to "rock" them in order to clear out what Helix considers a shifting value, because if I don't rock it/move the pedal I can not clear the "E" even by saving.

I sold the CLR's to pay for the FireHawk 1500 and some other trinkets, and I don't miss them cause Helix sounds great with the Firehawk 1500!
  16. Im thinking that maybe he wanted info on how to set up Helix aux's with his gear? If you have a send return on your amp its easy. Send #1 from Helix to the "return" on your amp. Send from your amp to Return #1 on Helix. Then just set up the slots in what order you want (send1-slots-return1) within Helix (using the editor or manually), and in the control panel be sure to set up the Send/Return levels (instrument or Line lvl). Its a lot easier than it sounds or reads once you get "hands on" .

I had 2 CLR's, and now run a Firehawk 1500 amp. Never owned a L3T, that said Ive heard others say how much they liked the L2m and L2T. I don't think you can go wrong using an L3T with Helix and as far as hearing a difference between it and a CLR, at most it would be minimal, AND the L3T has Line 6 link!...
  18. Well, the Mission pedal for wah is the SP1-L6H, and it has the toe switch. I also use a Mission EP-1-L6 (without the toe switch) for other things as depth, speed, etc. Lots of people are also using an Ernie Ball volume pedal for (wait for it) volume control cause its got a wider and longer foot area and throw... I just hook it's output up to the remote and helix can see and use it. Hope this helps!
  19. Ahh yes, but its only yours and my in·ter·pre·ta·tion on on what is the right or "wrong" mustard...
  20. When I make a hotdog, do I use real mustard or fake mustard? The only real difference and determining factor is, how each one tastes to you.
  21. Im thinking he meant to use the bottom row that is already there when you start the patch.
  22. Thanks for the Heads up, and yea it is a bigger file.

    L2m or l2t

Well least it wasnt the bass player this time...
  24. And if it is your drivers and not a Helix issue, please change/fix the topic header accordingly. Thanks.
