Which means you could buy a little over 3 gallons of gas there as compared to 10 or more here in the states... So much for a living wage... ;) As far as me spending your money go's, well, thats none of my business. Buy and sell what you want to I say. Just don't expect me to pay for it.

Well I guess its good to have faith in your local music store and client base. What we have is like a Walmart that has the popular and common fast selling music gear for sale. Not one Kemper, or God forbid a Helix on the shelf... Of course you were speaking about a "real" music store. My apologies as I haven't seen one of those in a while. ;)

So soooo true...

OK I all fired up now- with new bass and now a Fender Rumble 200 watt combo with an Effects loop, 3 band eq, XLR line out, overdrive and a 15" speaker! Im thinking of many ways to use this- like effects return from Helix for one, or XLR line out into my Apollo and use THIS !!!

Yea I did the same. I Swore Id not be back... And then Helix showed up.

I blame it on those humans. Keep the humans away from things and they last forever.

Thanks SD- I do lots of repairs (fret dressing and polishing too) and adjustments on guitars, but never a bass. So I appreciate the info on the strings. I had no idea lol...

I finally decided... :D

Just found this and was wondering if you (or anyone else) got a TwoNotes Torpedo Reload and Helix working together? I know the Reload doesnt have speaker sims/IRs built in, but it does come with the "Wall of Sound III" software.

I am glad that Workbench is there to fix it, but I was hoping for a redo. I should know better :P Good info on applying WB to repair and adjust.

Can the Helix software not be changed so to sync an LFO setting with BPM?

Nice to read that Helix is able to make it easier to change the way your recordings with a bass were made.... Hey- on another off topic- Ive also been looking at the Fender "standard" series Precision and Jazz bass models. I had no idea their differences (until reading a bit) or which one would be easier to play? Ive played electric guitar (lead mostly) for over 45 years but I am no real bass player (yet). So to all Fender Bass players which one of these might be the better choice with Helix?

Interesting... I was there at the Institute of Noise for a while myself, back when the Vetta was hot stuff.

Where did u find one? Several places are out...

Actually, Im waiting for Helix and Workbench to work together so that I know what Im doing on the Variax on the Helix patch I want to do it with.... If that makes sense. But I still think that even doubling up pups or turning up the gains, there is still the profound differences between the Variax strat tones and strength versus a regular strat tone and strength (including mine). But I'll deal with as I have been, just saying and its not a show stopper.
-
FYI- When I updated my FH-1500 firmware, it takes a good LONG while to do. Let it update, and go to bed. In the morning it should be done.
-
The JTV-69 I have is nice but there are updates thats needed on some models. To me the Strat is just too mild sounding (stated elsewhere) compared to my real ones.
-
So whats a nice feeling easy to play bass for Helix these days, for a guy that plays guitar?
-
Thinking out loud and in no specific order or patch in mind- Like the JTV-69 Variax Strat setting that needs to be redone IMO (just too mild in comparison with my 93 Strat), Im thinking instead of adding gobs more amps, maybe refining what we have now to an even higher level (if possible) tone wise, would be more to my liking. No Im not saying I don't like most of them, but theres alway room for improvement. Case in point, Kemper just released a firmware upgrade that added some killer delays... They already had delays but improved and added to them.

I should have said (was in the Doctors office in a hurry) that they are "NOT" alone in getting that driver certified with "Herr" Windows. Reminds me of "Let me see your papers. We have ways of making you "Certified"..."
-
The process may be expensive, and money is the bottom line mostly for business owners. And they are alone. The driver issue will be fixed just fine without the extra expense I'm thinking.
-
I agree will everything except # 3... ;)
-
Are you going to run a guitar cable (from an electric guitar) into that input?
-
Unplug the USB cable from Helix, and uninstall and then reinstall the drivers again, but reboot after the software install and before you plug the Helix USB cable back in. Sometimes Windoze has to be babied in a certain order to work.... Hope that helps.
