  1. The update process went pretty smoothly for me this time and so far, everything seems to be working as it should. I do wish we don't have to restore everything after an update though. The whole process seems needlessly archaic to me.

    Wish me luck.

Loving the Litigator and the Archtype Clean, BTW.

Bwahahaha! Yeah, seemed to be behaving pretty well in my studio. 16 minutes til downbeat now. Do question my sobriety as I'm feeling confident. 😂
  4. Just me, but unless you never take the Helix out of the studio, I personally would keep the Clarrett. Yes, the Helix can act as the sole audio interface for your DAW but I feel that having a dedicated discrete interface has its advantages - one of which is easy access to oft used controls. There's also the distinct possibility that the Clarrett might offer better sounding audio output. I'd have a listen to material you're very familiar with and compare the two.

I did something crazy and updated to 2.11 yesterday... and I'm gigging tonight. So all seems fine with its operations and no oddities in recent reboots. So far so good, Line6.
  6. Oho! I was wondering about that.

    LED Color

You've done it again, HO. Thank you, sir!

    LED Color

Is it my imagination or was there mention of being able to change the color of the Footswitch LEDs in 2.10? if there was, I can't find any thread on it. Thanks.
  9. If that's the case, then since most users will for the most part be using Path1 first because it's right there and on top, why did Little ne6 not assign the OS to the second DSP in Path 2? This would leave a lot more room for the effects blocks in Path 1 would it not?
  10. I'm wondering if your ears just have gotten used to hearing what's coming out of the Vetta and Flextone and that the Helix's much higher resolution is not what you're used to.
  11. I voted for yours a while back too!
  12. jshimkoski, Wow great idea. This very idea actually had occurred to me once a long while back but I'd since forgotten to try it. Thanks for the reminder! Also, try putting an overdrive between the amp block and cab sim/IR. This too will need a gain block to compensate for the volume loss but I like what I've gotten out of it.
  13. Talonmm and willjrock, I apologize. I completely misunderstood and misread talonmm's post. My fault entirely.
  14. Thanks for the tip on the Krivo - sounds great!
  15. Seriously?! How do you justify superiority in something as subjective as guitar tone? It's not a matter of choosing an incorrect word and I am absolutely not trolling the poster. I asked the question because people use words like that far too often on something that cannot be quantified. There is no "superior" when it comes to guitar tone, there is only what we personally prefer. I will admit that the Helix is, to me, a superior device because it is capable of giving a lot of us the sound we're after. Is it superior to say, the AX8? Well, if I couldn't get an AX8 to do what the Helix does for me, then yes, the Helix would be, for me, the superior device. But only for me. Is it superior to every other modeler available? I'd bet that there are some who would disagree.
  16. Superior according to whom? I mean, who gets to decide that?
  17. Ok... so I just got an email from 3 Sigma Audio. Here's their response when I asked about upright bass IRs. "Absolutely! We have plans for acoustic and upright bass, as well as violin, cello, viola, and banjo. Stay tuned! Thanks, "
  18. Just as there are as many studios with different sounding rooms. I don't think it has to sound like a specific room at all.
  19. It should sound like a properly mic'd amp in a studio.
  20. The one thing I do wish for is a way to design my own amps that don't or can't exist in reality. I want to mix and match parts, compile them and download them onto the Helix. Here's the idea. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Amp-Builder-Creator-App/841518-23508
  21. Can't see what I'm editing well enough in pedal edit mode.
