  1. It might ask you to create a password for your new network.
  2. yes ... connect to LAN. You'll probably get a message "not connected to the internet" which is correct.
  3. The answer is ... it all depends. The opportunity of going FRFR is that you can create new sounds that cannot be made using guitar amplifiers. Especially in the effects. For that option to really be effective you should operate in PA/ref mode (it also depends on how you have your HD set ... speaker emulator or no). Generally I would recommend running the HD with the Cab simulator ON and the L2/3 in PA/ref mode. It would take a couple of mics to mic up a L2/3 if it is operating in PA/ref mode as there is a low and a high component. I would suggest NOT mixing the speaker but rather running form the mix out to the board. In Gtr amp mode you could probably just mic the woofer. The GTR mode essentially shuts off the HF driver so only the woofer is operating and it applies a Line 6 model to condition the sound. If you are running in this mode you would generally turn the cabinet simulation OFF in your modeler.
  4. Are you using the Apple branded ethernet/USB adapter, not all brands work? Have you reset the Airport Express while it was disconnected from everything and then plugged it into the M20d?
  5. You are correct ... NO. The mixer just "conditions" the signal that is sent out.
  6. Same thing I did wrong the first time. Reinitialize the router and leave it not setup. Now connect it to your mixer and set it up from there.
  7. The polarity switch inverts the polarity of the speaker. In other words it determines whether the first impulse to the speaker moves the speaker pushing out or pulling in. The idea is that you may switch this to get the top and the sub working together in sync ( so they are both pulling or both pushing). It doesn't really matter which way they go but when they are out of sync you will likely lose bass output. When using an all Line 6 speakers this is done automatically via L6 link. But since there is no standard for how this should occur, it may be different from brand to brand. So the switch allows you to blend the L6 subs with other brands of tops no matter how they are wired If you are curious to try this out what you do is play a single sine wave tone at or very near to the crossover frequency you have selected. While playing the tone flip the switch. Now depending on a number of things you may hear the tone get louder or softer ( there may also be no change). Just leave it switched to which ever way gives you the loudest output. Don't worry too much about this as you may not actually hear a difference. The L3 subs offer multiple crossover frequencies again so they can be matched to a number of tops , both Line 6 and other brands. This is mostly a subjective decision and depends on your expectations as well as how it matches up to the type of music you play through the system. There's really not a right way and a wrong way but it will make a difference to the way music sounds through the system. Just pick what sounds the best to you. As a general starting point you use the lowest point if you are using top boxes that have a lot of lows ( typically 15" woofers) and higher points if you have 12's, 10's etc. My personal preference when you have music with vocals is to set them so that there is very little of the vocals that get down into the subs. So this depends on your singers capabilities. It would be different depending on whether you have bass, tenor or alto voices. This doesn't apply if you are doing all instrumental music of course.
  8. There's a small chance that you could re-flash the firmware and correct the problem. But if that doesn't fix it it will require a trip to the service department.
  9. The mixer doesn't override the built-in EQ or other processing in the speakers. Beyond that it could if you make changes in the output bus of the mixer. You can also adjust the built-in 1/3rd graphic in the speakers from the mixer.
  10. It is affecting your max range. As long as you have enough then it's not an issue and with a digital radio it never affects the sound quality. But if there is some extra interference in the venues where you had problems then it could be enough to tip the scales those times. No way to know for certain without a lot of test equipment. The upgrade itself is free but there are charges for bench time and return shipping. Fill out a service ticket to get the estimate. It should be said that upgrading may make zero difference. It only helps if you have some specific issues (which almost no one has in the real world).
  11. The update does help with some kinds of unusual interference so I would expect it to help. If you have a relationship with your dealer they may be willing to update it for you. It's easy to do using Line 6 Monkey updater, but it does require using a XDV75 receiver as the USB interface. Also, you are right on the edge of using the max current available from that power supply. I would try using the factory supply on the G30 and see if that helps. Is your pedalboard metal? if so that will cut down the range and reliability of the G30. Have you tried switching to a different channel? With the transmuter turned off, switch through the channels on the receiver stopping for about 30 seconds on each channel. You will notice red LEDs show up (and that's normal) but your best performance will be in those channels with the fewest red LEDs popping up. The fewer LEDs the more range you have and the more range you have helps combat everything else that could add to the problem.
  12. Did you download the mac driver from the downloads page?
  13. Traditional Wi-Fi is a tricky technology. It doesn't like to compete with any kind of interference. You could try elevating your dongle by using a USB extension cable and getting it 6-8 feet up in the air. External router are usually more reliable and using the Belkin N600 running at 5GHz only will eliminate any problems you are having with local 2.4G interference. The Airport Express cannot be switched to 5G only but the Belkin can.
  14. They are illegal in the USA. I've tested a couple and like cell phones they don't really bother Line 6 wireless unless they are very close to the receiver (like a couple of feet)
  15. Let me ask ... You say you are seeing the Audio LED on the receiver light up but hear no sound? That is very strange. Do you get audio out of the tuner output? Try turning on your new gear in steps. Start with the G50s on. Then turn on your other wireless mics. G50s still working? Then turn the new wireless off and turn on the IEMs. How about now? If you are still working then turn on the new wireless mics. What firmware version are the G50s? I would definitely stick with the factory power supplies while you are testing. Using third party supplies is not difficult, but they must be correct.
  16. Rechargeable batteries to do affect operation but they may not last as long and the battery indicator will not register properly.
  17. Most USB sticks are not fast enough and crash a few seconds or minutes into the recording YMMV.
  18. The rack kit is optional (extra cost) accommodates a pair of V/G55's, so if you only use one the other half is solid and would not permit your other unit. It does include antenna kits to put the antennas in the front. You will not be able to mount an IEM transmitter next to the wireless receiver. You'll have to remote one or the other's antennas.
  19. Ahhh ... from a breakout box ;) The breakout box as I recall is an A/B box and only one output is active at a time. So if the 1/4" has signal the XLR does not and visa-versa. So you might try switching that around. If you still don't get output I guess you'll need service to look at it.
  20. I'm not the guitar guy ... but I've never seen an XLR output on a Variax. There's an RJ-45 which has the same shell as an XLR but as Larry said about that is not an audio output.
  21. You could "group" the EFX and then you would see thee normal mute icon as you switched back and forth (same as you now see a single channel mute)
  22. Works for me try this ... http://line6.com/support/topic/4099-advertising-pullback-why/
