  1. Dreamstage isn't going away soon and I expect to see additional products in the line. I think the current campaign is showing how well the speakers can also be used in guitar rigs so you end up with a speaker that is much more versatile than PA speakers have ever been. There's only so much space available in any publication so you just have to choose the focus.
  2. Yes ... use the Apple adapter. I believe that USB port is an output (but you could check with Belkin)
  3. If it is extremely jammed you may have to remove a front panel and then using a small rod (and mallet) to push the key itself out towards the rear. Once you get it out you may want to call our parts department and get the new style key for the next time.
  4. Unfortunately I know of no way to shut off the 2.4G with Airport Express.
  5. Yes, the V75 receiver is USB capable and acts as the interface. Short of that you can send it would need to be returned to our service department.
  6. I was talking about the N600 router ... not the USB adaptor. http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F9K1102/
  7. The Mute All button is strictly hardware so it won't make any difference which firmware you are using. (That's why you don't see it on your iPad app.) When you press the button in are you seeing the switch light up and then go off?
  8. The difference is software (which is upgradable anyway). Boot it up and it will tell you the firmware version in the LCD window. V2.xx is the newest.
  9. I guess it depends on what you expect surge suppression to be. I don't think anything can protect you from a lightening strike. What surge do you ever expect to see? Most new gear these days is rated to work from 90 a 240 vac without switching anything. So if you are normally running on 120v and accidentally plugged into a 240 line there should be no problem.
  10. They are essentially unchanged. The biggest difference is that the newest versions of the TBP12 transmitter now feature an all metal input jack. The newest units have the most current software ... but you can easily upgrade older units. Other that the obvious physical differences I believe the G90s have more features than the G55's.
  11. So it may have been a help to your old gear. But using Line 6 mixer and speakers together via L6 link removes any hum problem automatically as there is no direct ground connection (there's an optical link) so in this case there will be no improvement from a filter. Filters can cause startup issues with gear that uses switch-mode power supplies (such as our mixer and speakers ... and almost everything else new these days). Pretty much all of what is built into such filters is already built into most new gear these days so you don't really get much for your money. SurgeX (and you can tell from the price tag) is a different beast. Personally I wouldn't spend the money for one, but it could offer some small improvements if you truly have dirty power. Another disadvantage is that using most power strips such as yours limits you to a 15A (USA) service. If you used a simple quad box (no circuit breaker) then in a commercial building I would expect you would be plugged into a 20A service. That could be an advantage if you are driving speakers hard. The current draw you see on the back of the speakers is what the speakers draw when they are producing 1/8th power. This is what is required by UL and ETA underwriting labs for certification. This is about what powered speakers draw in operation but if you drive subs really hard it can get to double or triple this number. A UPS otoh is basically a battery backup in case the AC power goes down. It would save you from having to reboot. A moderately priced one would work fine with the mixer but it would take a big expensive one to power the speakers and personally I wouldn't recommend that.
  12. I would recommend saving your money on "power conditioners". For the most part they are useless unless you are willing to spend big $$$ for a SurgeX. In any case I would not use them on the speakers where thay can make things worse. If you wanted to add an extra layer of protection for the mixer you could use an UPS
  13. I believe that out of the box you get dual band. You have to go into the advanced settings and disable the 2.4g
  14. You will almost never not have a bar or two. This does not mean there is a problem and your system will just lock up when you turn it on. Still RF1 mode will fix your problem (and you'll see a bar of red there too)
  15. Switching it to RF1 mode will likely solve your problems. If you use RF2 mode you MUST scan for clear channels before operation while in RF1 mode that is almost never the case
  16. As above... Which mode are you running in? Have you gone through the troubleshooting guide ( in the knowledge base)?
  17. Hey Johnny There are several methods to improve your situation. The best "fix it once and never worry about it again" method would be to use a router set to run on 5GHz ONLY (such as a Belkin N600). You'll probably find that your iPad will like this a lot better too. :) Second best would be to get your guitarist's unit updated to v.2x firmware and run in RF2 mode ... http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/live-sound/xdv-digital-wireless-microphones/rf1rf2-mode-switching-frequencies-r90?st=0#comment_0 Third would be to turn on your dongle and then with the guitar transmitter turned off but the receiver turned on, scroll through his available channels. You'll see red LEDs on the RF meter. Pick the channel on the guitar unit with the fewest red LEDs on.
  18. I think the situation here is that you are not making an exact apples to apples comparison. When the DT25 is on you are hearing at least some sound from the speaker and when you play back a recording you are not. I'm not the guitar amp guy ... but ... try comparing the two with the standby switch on the DT25 off and see if that isn't closer. Gain staging is always a trade-off between background noise and distortion. If you are hearing "digital harshness" then you are probably driving the HD too hard. Try backing the drive into it a bit (as well as some of the internal stages in your patch)
  19. Hi Ted There may be compression on the preset in the mixer channel you are using. The recording is directly after the analog to digital cobnversion and before any processing done by the mixer. However when you play it back the mixer can be adding lots of things to the signal. That is all user selectable. Have you ever ported the recorded wave file over to a DAW? Same result?
  20. There ARE others that will work, but there are also many that do not. Line 6 supports the Apple branded unit and the rest is just unknown.
  21. Correct ... unfortunately for your wallet ... but the mixer expects to see a specific chipset in the adapter (same as in the wi-fi dongle). Line 6 supports only the Apple adapter at this time.
  22. Open a service ticket so you can send it in to us.
  23. Does it ever hum with no input connected?
  24. Have you selected the StageScape network in your wi-fi setup page on the iPad? If not, then you'll need to do that. If it is selected then it may help to tell the iPad to forget that network and then reboot and set it up fresh.
