The feedback filters are set per input so that they are active in any/all outputs since all outputs contribute to the problem (unless they are isolated in different acoustic spaces). Which firmware version are you using?

Stagesource L3t Input Level
dboomer replied to axus73's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
First regardless of how you set it you do not affect the maximum power of the speakers The best practice for proper gain structure is to use L6 link with the sensitivity control set at 12 o'clock and adjust your level on the Hd500. But the only real penalty of doing anything wrong would be a little hiss in the system. So if you don't hear any then you don't need to do anything differently. If you don't want to make adjustments to the HD than simply adjust the sensitivity control if you need more or less level. -
Is There An Eq For Foh Speakers?
dboomer replied to federalhog's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Certainly you can! From the setup or perform screen touch the LR output meter (right side of the screen) and highlight it. Then push the tweak button and tweak it. -

Using Usb Pen-drives And External Hdd
dboomer replied to fferraz's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
External hard drives must be powered with an external power supply and not from the USB cable. USB thumb drives are very unpredictable and I would suggest you just avoid them. To me the only way to go is Sd card. It doesn't require external power or cables or take up any real estate. It's just simple and nearly invisible.- 6 replies

Just to be clear ... you are getting red LEDs when the transmitter is turned on? Have you tried different channels? Have you tried this in a different location? Are you getting the "audio" LED on the transmitter to light up when you play?

Auto Trim Is Not Functioning As It Should.
dboomer replied to federalhog's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Setting the trims isn't directly related to the mix and whether you can hear what. There are other factors that we need to consider. That's why I need to know the preset and to when number the auto trim sets the mic pre gain. Bad car analogy ... but it's a little like expecting your car to go a certain speed with the gas pedal half way down. It depends what gear you are in and whether you are going uphill or downhill ;) -
Auto Trim Is Not Functioning As It Should.

Do you mean you can't hear the vocal by itself or inside the mix? What mic are you using? What preset? What gain does the auto trim set itself to? -
L3m's As Mains Question With Stagescape.
dboomer replied to federalhog's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Speaker firmware or mixer firmware? (or both :) When you just hook the speakers together without the mixer they say L&R but with the mixer I've never noticed they say other than 1,2,3, etc. -
L3m's As Mains Question With Stagescape.
dboomer replied to federalhog's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Each speaker itself will "enumerate" with a number ... but its bus assignment is not directly related. Open up your L6 link by touching it at the top of the setup screen (where the in/out connectors are). I believe if you now look you will see thay are assigned to the Left and Right main busses. -
Units with firmware versions lower than v1.3 must be returned to the factory for upgrade.

That is an early firmware rev and operates in RF1 mode only. I didn't get an answer about the power supply ... what are you using? Your best bet would be to scan for interference by turning on the receiver ONLY and switch between channels. Keep track of how many and how frequent the RF ladder has red LEDs. Use the channel that has the fewest indications. There is also a troubleshooting guide in the knowledge base. You should run through all the suggestions as there may be something simple happening that you don't recognise.
-
What mode are you running in? You could very likely have great issues if you are running in RF2 mode but have not scanned to find any nearby wi-fi. In RF1 mode you should have very little issue with wi-fi unless the wi-fi access point is very near the receiver and you are farther away. Also ... are you using the factory power supply or a pedal board supply? Could make a big difference if the power supply is not correct.

Recording Levels On M20 Again
dboomer replied to CraigDavson's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
The levels on the recording do not necessarily match your mix. The recordings are right after the trim gain and the A/D converters. Your mix is after your level control. So it's not the same thing. So basically the way to approach this is to plug in your mics, the set the auto trim. At this point you will clearly capture your performance. After you finish you then dump the unmixed tracks back into a DAW to mix down. You will need to create a mix of the recorded tracks at this point. If your tracks seem a little low after you dump them to your DAW just normalize them in the DAW. -
Flashing LEDs indicate an error code. You could try updating the firmware which may clear it. If that fails it will probably need to be returned for service.

Share Your M20d Live Settings
dboomer replied to rudarel's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Hey Adrian I would recommend about 220-250 ms for fast songs (tempo 125-140 bpm) and about 300 ms for ballads, but that's just me. As far as setting up a mix for your songs by someone else, a mix requires that you have the entire system which includes the speakers and the room that you play in. That's why we expect that people will use Quick Tweak and fine tune the basic presets. My suggestion would be to record some of your performances and then while listening to the playback switch through all the vocal presets on your vocal channel. Don't be too concerned exactly how they are labeled. It's ok to try " female vocal" and everything else. See if any of these are closer to the sound you want to hear. The last few shows that I have done with the mixer are 98% factory presets only, with no tweaking at all ... But I may have switched through a few. -
Screws For Xd-v75 Rack 'ears'
dboomer replied to abbeyaudio's topic in XD-V Digital Wireless Microphones
The screws are 6-32 machine screws -
The switched buttons are mechanical. If there were to be a software caused catastrophe you would need a mechanical button to mute the outputs. You should save the system and email it to customer service. That way they could examine your setup to check and see if there is something shut off in software.

Try Ted Brown Music in Takoma. Talk to Mike Kay

RF1 frequencies are propriatary and do not relate to wi-fi at all. RF2 frequencies are on page 29 of the XDV75 owner's manual
-
The basic test is will your system work as you need if you hook it up with a cable. If it will it will work just the same with a G50. So if the signal from your mando or guitar will drive the mixer then the G50 will do just the same (although likely with less high frequency losses). You should plug the tuner into the tuner out of the G50 receiver. That way it is completely out of the circuit ... true bypass or no. This also allows pushing the mute switch on the transmitter and having the ability to tune up without sending signal to the mixer or amp.
