  1. I suggest you open a support ticket. This sounds like a hardware problem.
  2. Glad to hear it. Thanks for providing the update.
  3. The message telling you that updates are available might refer to a POD Go device firmware update, not the POD Go Edit program. Check the message carefully and update the firmware if available.
  4. Try Global Settings -> Preferences -> Tempo Pitch. This should help but may not completely remove the artifacts. Imagine you were making these tempo changes in real time using an analog pedal. What you’re hearing is exactly what you would expect in the analog world, and that’s what the POD Go is modeling. The ‘Transparent’ setting for the Tempo Pitch parameter minimizes the real-world effect. There won’t be an update to ‘fix’ this because it’s not bug; it accurately models, and optionally minimizes, the real analog pedals. Here’s an exercise for you: try using real analog pedals to make the same instantaneous real-time parameter changes and see what it sounds like.
  5. See Global Settings -> Preferences, then knob #3
  6. Sure. Separate the inputs by using both Path 1 and Path 2 in the preset. Each Path will process one input (you’ll probably want no processing on the USB Input path). Use the Output block in each path to specify your desired physical output.
  7. Older Variax guitars (pre-JTV) did not come with the USB adapter. It’s called the Variax Workbench Hardware Interface and was sold separately for those who wanted to use the optional Workbench program. Since the JTV series it has been included with the purchase of a new Variax guitar.
  8. Since this will be your first update you may find the following useful. Note that it was written before, but anticipating, the release of v3.10.
  9. The update process is mostly automated now. It's very straightforward, really. You begin by downloading the HX Edit v3.11 software installer package from the Downloads section of this website (See tab at top of this page. Select HX Edit from the drop down menu in the middle field - All Software - ). Execute the downloaded installer program to perform the installation, including all per-selected components. Then run the HX Edit program with your Helix device connected via usb. Log into your Line 6 account from within HX Edit; see 'My Account' tab at the bottom right of the HX Edit window. You should then be notified that an update is available for your Helix firmware. Follow the instructions exactly to install the update. If something goes wrong or is confusing just come back to this thread and post your experience describing where things are going wrong in terms of the instructions. Note that, contrary to your belief, you can update directly from your current old firmware, per this comment I copied from thev3.11 Release Notes: My Helix/HX is at version X.XX. Can I go straight to 3.11? Absolutely, but note that if you're starting with a version lower than 2.80, the update will appear to happen twice. This is normal.
  10. This is a user forum. Line 6 does not officially monitor here. Check the junk mail folder in your email system. They may have responded already. If not they will likely do so soon. I believe their service policy attempts to respond to tickets within 2 business days. You opened the ticket Friday and this is Wednesday. A little late, yes, but not yet a multi-exclamatory case of ‘footdragging’ I think. Also, if you bought it at a retailer you could likely return and replace it.
  11. It depends on whether or not the previous owner purchased Helix Native at the discounted price based on his ownership of the HX Stomp. You will certainly be able to re-register the device but if that serial number has already been used to purchase Helix Native it can’t be used again. One discounted sale per device.
  12. Yes, Helix works as an interface for Workbench HD.
  13. Are things resolved after shutting down Helix Rack and restarting? I suspect the preset you downloaded may be corrupt.
  14. Have you tried all USB ports on your PC? Sometimes there are internal hubs, especially behind the front panel USB ports. The rear panel ports tend to have no internal hubs.
  15. Your POD Go probably needs to have its firmware updated. Start with that and if the problem persists let us know. Start by downloading and installing the POD Go Edit v1.22 installer package.
  16. Have you tried codamedia’s suggestion? Another option would be to ‘park’ the knobs at the min or max position. They are less subject to jitters there.
  17. You need to export the setlists individually and then import them again in your preferred order.

    HELP PLEASE!

I’m not familiar with Fruity Loops, but it’s important that your audio settings in your recording program specify that the POD Go and it’s ASIO driver are used for audio input and output.
  19. Well, sir..... I’m out of ideas. I’ll return if I think of anything else. Meantime, good luck. Since it’s happening on all footswitches I suspect a hardware fault in some chip where capacitance communications are centralized.
  20. Ok - that’s a good sign meaning your firmware versions are compatible. The reason you weren’t prompted to update the Control firmware is that it was already up to date. So it may be just the touch capacitance issue. Do the RJ-45 port pins look OK on each device?
  21. Just an observation..... your original issue was touch capacitance, about which you have just asked for any update in another thread. That may in fact be a symptom rather than the problem. Your main problem is that your Helix Control firmware is not updating as it should in conjunction with Helix Rack firmware updates. That means the Control and Rack firmware installations are incompatible. Loss of Touch Capacitance may be just one symptom of this problem; there may be others. Until you can get your Helix Control firmware to update properly I think it’s futile to pursue any other individual symptomatic problems. Have you visually inspected the RJ-45 ports as suggested earlier?
  22. Nothing special about the cable. Any Ethercon cable should do. The special one you have seen may be a VDI cable used for a Variax guitar connection. It has shielded ends for protection.
  23. If it’s not the cable, do a visual inspection of the RJ-45 ports on both the Helix Rack and the Helix Control. You might notice a bent pin in either one of those ports. Try gently straightening the pin using a tool of some sort.
  24. It seems the ‘inspector’ is not recognizing that your Helix Control is connected. That points to a problem with your cable, which was suggested by phil_m earlier in this thread. You said you would test that. Did you?
