  1. 1) No, the POD Go does not include a drum machine. Yes, you can connect your external drum machine to the POD Go’s FX Return input. 2) The POD Go has a looper but if you use a looper heavily you should keep your external looper. Using both an external drum machine and looper simultaneously will require an external mixer to feed both signals into the POD Go’s FX Return input. 3) The POD Go has a monophonic pitch shifter like Helix. Good for single notes, not so good with chords.
  2. Anyone having this issue after updating to the latest firmware should open a support ticket.
  3. Yes, just remove the amps and cab/IRs from the HeLix LT preset. If your amp has an FX Loop you can use the 4CM connection method to have the flexibility of placing your LT FX before or after your amp’s preamp section.
  4. See manual page 17.
  5. To be able to restore individual presets you need to back them up as individual presets. You can also save individual setlists, but you can’t restore individual presets from a saved setlist. There three levels of save/backup capabilities: presets, setlists, and system (including global settings). You can’t mix and match presets and setlist but I believe you can choose which setlists you want to restore from a system backup (at least you can in Helix; not sure about POD Go). As described earlier, you can save multiple, or all, presets in a setlist in a single operation and then you’ll have them as individual presets.
  6. I think you should open a support ticket.
  7. I haven't checked but it sounds like this was a known issue in a previous release and is no longer noted. That suggests that it was fixed. If you are having trouble, the most common troubleshooting steps are.... - try a different USB cable - try all USB ports on your computer - make sure you are using the latest Line 6 driver - recycle the power on both your computer and Helix
  8. Glad to hear you’re all sorted out. Thanks for letting me know.
  9. You’re correct - a system backup does not support restoration of individual presets. If you know which presets you have edited you can back them up individually to your computer, restore the system backup, then replace the old versions of those presets with the edited versions. (Note: at some point it may be worthwhile to perform a factory reset and make backup copies of all factory presets for potential future reference.)
  10. There is no official repository of factory presets for most (all?) Line 6 devices including POD Go. However you can use Pod Go Edit File menu to export and import both setlists and presets. You can also simply drag /drop individual presets to export and import them. So you can make your own backups at any time. For instance you can create a copy of all Factory presets in a single operation by selecting them all in the editor and then drag/drop the entire selection into a folder on your computer. There's your preset list.
  11. What you are experiencing is normal and due to the technical specification of the ASIO protocol which is used by Line 6 and and many other audio devices and programs. Under ASIO there can be only one audio device in use at a time, by either your PC or your DAW, and it must be both the audio input and output device. So you can’t use the POD Go as input and your other audio interface as output. You have a choice: either continue to use your other audio interface and connect the POD Go’s audio outputs to its inputs (I.e. no POD Go USB connection), or remove your other audio interface from the setup and use the POD Go as the audio interface device, for both input and output. In this case you would connect your speakers/headphones to the Pod Go outputs. Another strategy that some people use, which I do not recommend, is using a non-ASIO, or pseudo-ASIO, driver that supports different audio input and output devices. A popular one seems to be ASIO4ALL. However, since it is not a true ASIO driver it is not supported by Line 6 for use with its devices, and is known to lead to unpredictable problems depending on the PC environment in which it is being used.
  12. See manual page 11. Lots of good info in there....... Press VIEW, press the knob beside it, then rotate it to select either Factory or User.
  13. Make sure you Save the tones individually using the editor before disconnecting the POD Go from the computer.
  14. Where did these tones and IRs come from? Customtone? The Line 6 Marketplace? You say you used HX Edit to do this. How, exactly? Did you drag/drop the tones and IRs into the Edit program preset/IR locations?
  15. I think you’re referring to the VDI input on some Line 6 devices. The HX FX does not have that input and here is no gizmo to simulate it. You can use your Variax with the 1/4” connections to the HX FX but there is no way to simulate the digital interface.
  16. Try performing a factory reset. Hold down the C & D switches for a few seconds while powering on the device.
  17. Call your nearest Long & McQuade store. They will be able to send the device to the nearest Yorkville service center.
  18. There are two setlists in the POD Go. One is named Factory and the other named User. The Factory setlist contains the factory (pre-loaded) presets. All presets in the User setlist are named New Preset and are intended for you to edit and save with your own custom names. See page 11 of the manual.
  19. The factory presets generally do not use snapshots. Some may, just to illustrate the concept, but I haven’t done a review for this. If a factory preset uses snapshots it will probably have some defined snapshot names, other than Snapshot 1, 2, 3, or 4.
  20. I don’t think it’s weird. The factory presets may or may not use snapshots. Build a preset of your own, set up some snapshots, and make sure the behaviour is as expected. Also note that the switch behaviour depends on Global Settings. Check the manual.
  21. There’s no meter but as you approach the DSP limits some FX blocks are greyed out in the selection list and are no longer selectable. This indicates that selecting those blocks would exceed the DSP limit. When you see a desired block greyed out that will trigger your swapping exercise.
  22. Like phil_m says, HX FX or HX Stomp. The HX FX is designed to meet your need #1, and does so more effectively then POD Go. The HX stomp will address both needs. As for audio dropouts when switching patches, that is the case for the vast majority of modellers. It sounds like you may be new to modelling (based on your need #1) so be looking out for this if /when you decide to go with a different modeller.
  23. Try using a Microphone in both Channel 1 and 2. Try the guitar in Channel 2. Open a support ticket.
