What is your master volume level setting? You will get the best signal to noise ratio from the POD Go outputs if you set the master volume to maximum. A low master output level will introduce noticeable background noise.

A setlist file is created by POD Go Edit when you use the export function. The setlist file stores an image of all presets in the setlist. It is used for backup purposes so that you can later restore the saved setlist using the import function.

Have you experimented with the Helix Global EQ? You could try setting it to address the HR bass and then use it only with the HR, turning it off or adjusting for other PA systems.

A POD Go update will come, offering at least some new models and probably some new features. No details on timing. Probably none of the DSP heavy Poly FX.

Is that specific foot switch working properly in other contexts, or are you getting weird behaviour with other FX assigned to that foot switch? After ruling out a hardware problem I would make a system backup and then do a factory restore. As a last resort you can reinstall the firmware. If you’re still having issues after those steps I would open a support ticket.

Not sure how you’re arriving at the claim about ‘most users’ rather than simply yourself, but the official way to bring your suggestions to the attention of Line 6 developers is to use Ideascale. Search the existing suggestions and vote them up or enter a new suggestion.

It’s not a settings problem. It’s a known bug that will (hopefully) be fixed in the next firmware release.

Make sure you are monitoring using the UX1 outputs (headphones or speakers connected to the UX1). Make sure Reaper is configured to use the UX1 and its ASIO drivers as the audio input and output device. Turn off the software monitoring in Reaper. After recording your dry track and adding the Helix Native plug-in to the recorded track, what does the input level meter show in Helix Native? Does it match the Pod Farm output meter?

Please describe your context. Are you recording a dry guitar track and then applying the Helix Native plug-in to that? Are you playing using Helix Native with live monitoring? Are you applying Helix Native to a pre-recorded track effected by Pod Farm?

As it says in the manual.... ”When finished, touch a switch for one second or press HOME to exit.” There’s lots of good info in the manual. It’s worth a read especially if you’re brand new to the HX FX.

Your X3 Live is an audio interface. No need for a separate one unless you have a specific reason for it. The simplest setup would be to connect your X3 Live to your computer via USB and configure your DAW to use it and it’s ASIO driver as the audio input and output device. You can then select from the X3’s USB Send channels (see manual) as the Record Input source when you arm a track for recording in your DAW. You can arrange an X3 preset to have an effected Tone 1 and a dry guitar signal (no amp/FX) in Tone 2. You can then record the stereo Tone 1 and the dry Tone 2 simultaneously. Following that you will be able to apply whatever plugins you like to the dry tone.

If you’re considering buying ‘a bunch of cheap guitars’ I would definitely buy a Variax instead. The more recent models, from JTV onward in my opinion, are very nice to play with a good build quality. And features like alternate tuning and Helix integration combined with the variety of models make the Variax a very fun and flexible instrument. And then, of course, there’s Workbench HD for even more fun and flexibility!

Yes you will be able to keep (or replace at no cost) your Helix Native license. There may be some account administration that Line 6 will need to do because there are some time constraints concerning the Helix hardware ownership and the license validity. I would open a support ticket with Line 6 before you make the hardware exchange and explain the situation to them. They will advise you if you need to do anything and also do whatever they may need to do.

You need to update your firmware. V1.32 is very old and does not support the HD packs. You probably also need to update the drivers and the POD HD Edit program. Download and install the latest version of Line 6 Monkey first. Then use it to download and install the latest versions of all other components. After purchasing the Fully Loaded bundle you will need to download, install and run the Line 6 License Manager.

I don’t think you can arrange things to do exactly what you want, but perhaps others can describe how. There are other traditional workarounds. For instance you could use the Vol pedal itself. Save the presets/snapshots with the Vol at some medium level and push it to the toe position when desired. As mentioned above you may have to customize some global settings re: snapshot edits and pedal position recall. Of course there’s always the guitar Vol knob.....

You can temporarily move from 8 Snap mode to Stomp mode by pressing the Mode foot switch. Then you can activate/deactivate your Vol boost pedal (I suggest using the Gain model). Then use the Mode switch again to return to the 8 Snap view. You will need to understand how the Global Setting for Snapshot Edits works to control whether you want a change in the Vol boost effect to carry over between snapshot changes or revert to the saved state in the next snapshot when you change snapshots.

Depending on your choice in studio monitors you will probably have options of 1/4", XLR. or RCA inputs. Your POD Go outputs are 1/4" so you will want cables that are 1/4" on one end and 1/4", XLR, or RCA on the other end. Fortunately your POD Go output signal level can be set to match any of these options. And don't worry if that last bit makes no sense to you right now. It soon will.

I agree that the POD Go with a good pair of studio monitors (min. 6”) is the way to go. It will be the simplest introduction for you to the world of digital gear.

As of firmware v3.0 you can assign Looper functions to any foot switch in Stomp mode. Detailed info is in the v3.0 manual and probably in the v3.0 release notes as well.

Yeah - there are different ways to look at pricing of .... anything, really. One method might be called value pricing, where the price reflects some intrinsic value of an item. In this framework there is really no difference between a used and new piece of software, whatever that means (assuming of course that is the same software, not an upgraded version of something). Another method might be called market pricing where all that matters is the price that a seller is willing to accept and a buyer is willing to pay. Underlying value has very little to do with it. In this case a seller is willing to offer and accept a discounted price, for whatever reason. The stock markets operate like this until periodically everyone agrees that the pricing is way above or below the underlying value, resulting in a crash or surge. No right or wrong, just different viewpoints. If you can get a significant discount that's great for you. Personally as the seller I'd be less inclined to offer a significant discount. And that probably means I wouldn't find a buyer quickly and the 'used' market would beat my price down until I could! Hope you find it at a price you like. Glad I'm not wanting to sell my license.

I’m curious. How is a ‘used’ piece of software any different from the same software in ‘new’ condition? I expect you think it should be worth less. Why?
