  1. L6 does not generally bird dog there forums so you are better off sending a Support Ticket in. There is a link up top labeled Support. Not everyone seems to have that issue. I try to find out about system compatibility prior to updating an OS in an effort to avoid a problem like yours.
  2. I had a bit of a love/hate during the honeymoon - but the damn thing does have the tones in it. :)
  3. Lol - I know its a killer amp and its really close. But still I would say its closer to an original Vetta.
  4. Gearbox is what you need it is in the downloads area. If you have a newer operating system look in an older one - like Win 7.

    Dual paths

Whoa slow down my man you just confused the lollipop out of me. I was under the impression you were looking to run the HD into 2 power amps (or FX loops). Are you talking about trying to run a twin 4CM?

    Dual paths

For each path you can set the panning for the effects and amps. Fire up HD Edit and also go to the mixer page to make sure the amps are panned. Hard right, hard left.
  7. BTW Wouldn't a HD or Helix based Vetta kick some lollipop? :D
  8. The mighty SpaceAtl came up with a 4CM method for the bean. Though to be honest I am having some problems understanding what you are looking to do. Search for a thread: 4 Cm The Hd Pod Bean (oh yes this works). That thread shows some real creativity for routing. (yes I cannot copy paste here). :)
  9. With the HD model packs you can have some of the amp models (big bottom, etc.) but you would have to rebuild the chain. So no to importing, yes to rebuilding.
  10. You will need to install Pod Farm as well - either PF1 or PF2 depending on the UX2 - (redface UX = PF1 btw). There is a mixer page where you will select your input. For example set it to mic for the (well) mic. :) The manual is pretty decent too.
  11. I have the Trio (not the +) and usually just run the HD into it direct from the left output, same with a looper which goes after the Trio. But I am just jamming along no work station recording. Keep it simple at first then experiment is about the best advice I can say at this point. But you have loads of options FX loop from the HD or just pan the right stereo out to it... lots of options can drive you nuts. :)
  12. Hey Nj - Pianoguy put this method out there for the HD but I see no reason that it cannot be used with the XT. Use the same mp3 track going in as the normalized volume standard. That is connect a mp3 player and using 1 track only, at a set volume, adjust each patch to good mixed volume level.
  13. So you are a tech and can't verify that the speakers are good? How about the power supply? Esssh my man the layout is actually silk screened real well on the board. Spare us the rant about the repair $$$ too, part of the issue is they "may" not want some Bozo zapping themselves.
  14. I still use one (with the mic) as its a great field recorder for its size. Did you install the software and drivers for it? The software lets you adjust the settings and such. Double check the switch setting too there were three positions off-play-on.
  15. Check cables and guitar on a different amp. Hold down the A button for 5-10 secs as you power up for a factory reset. After that there is not much to do but submit a Support Ticket to L6. Up top is a link that sez "Support".
  16. Look into the use of the Para EQ - IIRC Meambobbo's guide right it uses a high and low pass filter for its mid boost. As you probably found out by now the fizz is up ~ 7-8 k (80%?) and the bottom end flub start around 100k and move a narrow band Q to find it. The % really is a bugger for Eqs so use a fresh pair of ears when dialing it in.
  17. BTW the "only" reason I suggested you might want to go FX return only is that the SV is using the Pod 2.0 models. While I like them and as a whole the SV is worthy the 4CM IMO is for using the pre-amp stage of say a Marshall.
  18. Sweet love it! lollipopers on YT had a "Should I buy a Helix?" vid next!
  19. I have a SVMKI too and TBH run the HD into the FX loop and skip the SV's preamp section altogether. You have nothing to gain going 4CM with the SV. HD output => studio direct sounds great to me but feel free to jump around and hear what the differences are. TBH though the SV is pretty f-ing sweet on its own.
  20. Hope that is the case - one just doesn't run out and find an X3Pro nowadays. :)
  21. I wonder if its a "model pack" thing that keeps it out. BTW can't PF free run on the same system as PF2? or is going to be some fighting?

    Pod vs Helix

If he's a master baiter I am not sure how we shall resist.
