  1. HD500 does this cab with no mic (with output mode) but Helix does not.. I suppose DT amps do it as well - they apply 'cabinet' to the actual speaker, but then do a separate mic model for the XLR output.
  2. Assuming it all fits, will post some photos later when it's combined with Helix, in the Mono bag.. For now, here's some pics of the Trailer Trash flat board; top, corner and underside. I am going to put some kind of small plastic or rubber corner protectors on the underside, something minimal and invisible if possible.
  3. Loving these videos brother, keep 'em coming!
  4. Love it! The Helix Channel, pretty sweet. Actually some really good tips in there. He makes it look too easy, proceed carefully.. Good tips though, with how he clips the dual lock together, sticks it to the board then presses the Helix down. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpJrfCxQmio6zyjut4n0qRw
  5. Just a quick note: my flat 12x24 Trailer Trash board arrived today! For what it's worth, the board is very, very light. It is made of wood, thin but rigid with 5 or 6 rubber feet on the bottom to keep the flat board off the ground slightly. The lift up handles are bolted through, and pretty minimal size, something like 3".
  6. L6 link from Helix to L2t, XLR from Helix to FOH/mixer. Then using L2t side panel mixer, you can bring in two monitor mixes and balance the volumes accordingly. That should give you a good starting place, low noise, balanced connections, and enough routing control to set signals to mic or line level
  7. Yeah, BestTronics are awesome! I picked up a set of right angle and straight plug replacement locking cables for the G70 transmitter, one for the strat, one for the PRS. That makes sense about getting them to make you a custom cable, it will be top quality and less hassle to deal with! Nice call on the silent plug, might have to check that out.
  8. Yeah, this ^.. you plug that cable into the Mission, and you plug two regular XLR from Helix to that cable / adapter. Then the length can be whatever you want from Helix to the cable adapter.
  9. Yeah, me too! Plugged my phone into my car on my lunch break, cranked it up. Glenn, sweeeet tones! i am digging the Matchless-Timmy combination quite alot.
  10. My 'b-stock' Mission L6EP1 showed up today! Not sure where the flaws are, looks perfect! Also picked up a pair of the pedalboard mounting risers! Have two of the EP1's now, pretty psyched to get these mounted on little board (next to Helix, too damn heavy to put it all on one giant sized board..) For starting, when I get past using Helix by itself, and want to expand into the exp pedal / wireless + Helix thing, going to try a relatively simple rig to start with: onboard exp1 = wah only. toe switch will toggle wah on/off, i would imagine this is as close to 'regular' wah type action I am going to get. exterior exp2 = volume pedal exterior exp3= tweak? more / less? morph? not sure yet. Might just assign it to mix parameters, maybe even just for a few effects, until I get a better sense of how to use it to 'morph' between values.. sort of like semi-wet, semi-dry. Or some set in between alot wet and not as much wet. Open to ideas and suggestions!! :) Cheers!
  11. I was thinking with Helix, you could go so far as to even do stuff like have the looper as a sidechain / third path, and route that to it's own recording send as well!
  12. Quick answer: yes! Technically specific answer, not sure.. I think you would need to set up his drums into one signal path in Helix and your guitar on another. Then define which USB sends those paths go to, IE, drum path USB 1/2 and guitar path USB 3/4. Then arm two stereo tracks in reaper, and assign those usb sends to each track (1/2 to stereo track 1, 3/4 to stereo track 2) I think your dry guitar always goes to usb7, if you want to do some reamping
  13. Sort of.. I opted for a Mono case for Helix, with a smallish Pedaltrain (Novo18) next to it with a pair of Mission exp pedals, a Furman power strip, and a G70 wireless. That way if I want to go light with just Helix I can, when I want wireless with an exp pedal each for wah, volume and 'tweak', then add the sidecar. Haven't assembled that yet, got the parts and some dual lock with time this weekend, hope to get it in order. Also ordered a 24x12 flat Trailer Trash board, see how Helix fits on that, and if it still fits in the Mono at that point. Should, interior dimensions are good. We'll see how heavy that flat board is. But I like the idea of lift up handles and something under Helix without having to take it's feet off
  14. Check the input setttings, maybe they are set to Variax only or something unusual?
  15. Wow, that was quick! Guess I better edit the post title..
  16. I sense someone has a Wednesday Helix Happy Dance coming on, commencing in 3....2....1...
  17. Ah-Hah! Game on, my guess is wrong.. Somebody bound to get it right! I am so happy work asked me to trade days off this week, so I worked yesterday, and have tomorrow off.... :) Jam with the guys on Friday after work, my L2t speakers already over at the spot, ready to go..
  18. Well done!! yeah, I figure that won't last long, and also should bode well for anyone on a Sweetwater pre-order?... Hope everyone gets their Helix soon! I am crazy pysched for the new amp model and FX tomorrow, then I have a jam with the guys Friday, already have my L2t speakers over there and ready to go. :)
  19. I would imagine they should be sending yours, considering the Sweetwater website now says 'in stock'.....
  20. Yeah, so for what it's worth, just got an email from Sweetwater telling me Helix is now 'in stock'.... http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Helix Yes, It's In Stock!
  21. Ok, peeps, you have one day! Who's got the best guess for which new three-channel amp this will be?..... :) I am going to guess Mesa Boogie!!! Mark IV to be precise. There is only one Mesa guitar amp on there now; there are several Vox, Fender and Marshall options as is. I know alot of people might be looking for a more exotic, or boutique, or high gain amp, but my logic says, Mesa Boogie Mark IV is an all time classic, and has three channels, and would be a stellar addition to Helix. Keeping in mind that you can literally set up a single patch to do a three channel amp switching function, this is wayyyy cool. I conclude with, whichever this new amp is, it shall be awesome, and I say THANKS LINE6! :) And just for something fun to read, here's the MkIV Wikipedia blurb... "The Mark IV was launched by Mesa/Boogie in 1990. It was the state-of-the-art Mesa/Boogie three-channel combo amp, with independent controls for all three channels, except bass and mid, which are the same for both Rhythm 1 (clean) and Rhythm 2 (crunch). There were two versions of this amp. Start of production until about September 1993 Mark IV's are referred to as version A; amplifiers made from late 1993 until the end of production in 2008 are known as version B. Early B's have an attached power cord, like the A version. Some differences: version A has no footswitch for reverb or stereo effects loop, and the lead channel is much like the Mark IIC+'s. Version B has switchable reverb, a single switchable stereo effects loop, and an output to drive another power amp. Its voicings are altered slightly. Both versions are highly regarded; production of the Mark IV ceased in 2008."
  22. Sweet!!! Definitely report back on that, I am interested how it sounds..
  23. Sounds about right, 12/11 to 1/21 is 42 days. Hope that's accurate and you get your Helix soon!!:) Check the firmware when you get it, wondering if they are updating them all to mates firmware before shipping now? Mine had 1.3 I think?
  24. To engage the onboard toe switch you have to push the pedal all the way forward. Assuming you can live with your guitar volume through the monitor at maximum 'toe forward' setting every time you engage the wah.. An outstanding idea was proposed elsewhere for anyone who wants to use multiple expression pedals (I do!) with the Helix. Once you plug outboard exp into exp2 and exp3 slots, they become those pedals. The idea (I will track down the source and edit this for proper credit) is to assign your wah - and only wah - to exp 1. Use the toe switch to turn on/off the wah, and it works like a normal wah pedal! Toe switch on, wah on. Toe switch off, wah off. Though, with wah off, at that point it's no longer toggling between exp1 and exp2 as it does with no external exp connected. Edit: wah on exp1 idea credit to PeterHamm: http://line6.com/support/topic/17869-helix-losing-expression-pedal-settings/?do=findComment&comment=132351 "Change that patch so that the only thing EXP 1 controls is the wah. Now it behaves EXACTLY like a wah pedal. Toe switch engages and the same pedal rocks the wah."
