Would be nice to use a parametric eq with these setings AFTER THE CAB Low Level: -5dB Low Freq: 495Hz Low Q: 1 Mid Level: +12dB Mid Q: 0.5 Mid Freq: 5kHz Low cut at 100hz High cut at 7000 and/or the cali eq with the classic V shaped parameters, +4 db, +2db, -4db, +2db, +4db (as an example) And last effect in the chain, a tube compressore with default threshold, gain at 7.1 to 7.4, set to limit, emphasis 1.6 Gonna love the results.

Try another unit. Go to the nearest musical store with your guitar and cable, and try another helix. If the result is ok, then it is your unit. Yes there is! I clearly hear something dual coming out. 1)Open your workbench and see if the magnetic blend is rised. If yes, nullify it. If no, try to reinstall the firmware on the variax. 2) Is your magnetic pickups rised? Have you swap the pickups with others? If yes, make sure to lower the heigh of the pickups. If you swap, make sure there is no string pull from the new pickups 3) If nothing of the above, maybe hastag psarkissian to help you.

Maybe it is the guitar that you are listening to. Maybe this time you reduced the volume on the speakers or on helix, and that is the reason on headphones it is not there. Just guessing, it happened to me to listen the guitar original tone like this.

Legacy blue treb comp is awesome to be used before a metal amp. It gives edge and a nice overall boost.
