  1. Have the set-up professionally done by an authorized service tech who knows the product.
  2. 1) Should be 1/4" with TRS. 2) Sounds like the guitar needs a trip to your local Line 6 authorized service tech who does Variax guitars.
  3. The guitar and VDI line on the 500X should be checked out by a Line 6 authorized service tech.
  4. Also, use pick-ups with a DCR of between 6k and 8k Ohms, or the tone EQ will sound off. too high, it will be dark tone, too low it will be thin and tinny.
  5. Double check with the wiring diagrams in the Knowledge Base here for pick-up wiring of 89/89F guitars. Make certain they work together.
  6. L6 Link and MIDI data are different, can't piggy back on one another.
  7. Tubes and bias??? Don't know. The service bulletin would be.
  8. Google Translate,... I have had my HD500 for over 5 years. I have taken great care of it, but last week, for some reason, the expression pedal turns on its two buttons (red and green) and does not work, and the vertical effects navigation buttons (eg 5A , 5B, 5C and 5D ), they don't work either. to select an effect, I have to navigate through the vertical buttons, see the effect on the screen (5D for ex). If I decide to switch to 5A, and select the A button, it just doesn't switch. If I go back to the vertical buttons, it shows me the 5A I select, and it enters. I HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM AND I ALREADY RESTART NOTHING AND IT DOESN'T LET ME CALIBRATE. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME THANK YOU IN ADVANCE
  9. No problem. Saw it in your account,... I deleted the link. Not a good idea to leave it out in the open.
  10. "Will there be a problem with using the 250K pots with all three? "--- Yes, don't do that.
  11. Log a Support ticket in your account, they can get in touch with me about it.
  12. Agreed. It could two things,... one of which only I the the guy who builds the US ones, knows how to do and have done it. If it's just a knob issue, straight forward enough, if the other, then I'll have to deal with that issue. Silver,... my set-up is expanded some since you were here last, you'd like it.
  13. Yes it will void any warranty. Log a Support ticket in you account and they will go over the options for you.
  14. 69 Tortoise shell is available from Line 6. Don't know off hand if the one from British Audio is the Line 6 part number or third party. For the inexperienced, take care swapping those out, this isn't the usual passive electronic guitar.
  15. Click on my avatar here, there should be a space to message me. Best to stick with the straight usual 12AX7EH mediums and not get fancy. If the digital side sees anything different than the usual, it won't know what to do with it, and won't like it.
  16. 1- Your serial number. Message it to me. 2- 12AX7, the pre-amp stage doesn't have to be matched pairs,... unless you want to go over-board with that. Matched pairs only matters for the power stage.
  17. This post is in the wrong category, I will move it to the correct one. Getting an older jack plate is specific to the version Variax you have. TRS jacks do get grungy over time, like any other piece of technology that old.
  18. 1- 7Vdc is fine on those, typically around 7.4V. 2- No schematics available or publish, too much proprietary stuff in it. 3- No trim pot. I like to remind people about the PX-2, because there's always someone out there that wants to use a substitute. Don't want those ending up on my bench if it can be helped. Less meant for you, more for everyone else who will read this. (Thumbs up)
