  1. Floor effects board products with a VDI connector. Preferably a still support one. I still use a POD X3 Live at my repair bench for checking and testing old and new Variax guitars.
  2. Out of stock, hung up in all this CoVid related supply chain bottleneck stuff. Like I always say, "Rumors are like rainbows and unicorns, they look pretty, but you can't touch them because they aren't real."
  3. It's a safety regulator circuitry common in the safer legitimate Li-Ion batteries. Ours geared for our product, and prevents the inconsistency of knock-offs from being problem,... which they are. Thankfully keeps fewer Variaxes from showing up on my repair bench for such reasons.
  4. TRS engages the battery, TS can dribble away charge if what would be the ring, is not there to isolate +Vdc from the ground/return pin. Most all, if not all of our amps use TRS on the input to accommodate either one. TRS has become something of a de-facto standard for guitars with active powered circuitry since (at least) the mid 1970's (when I was doing guitar mod's with active, mostly battery powered) circuitry.
  5. Make certain there are no USB hubs connected. And what brue58ski said.
  6. Something I prepped for the Admin for the Knowledge Base for cleaning pots, switches and piezos,... Use cotton swabs, don't spray, just gunks things up.
  7. Because they are not compatible. Return them. Two contacts on them??? Do Not use 3rd party or knock-offs, they are nothing but problems. They might say they are compatible, but they are not, don't use them. Use only the Line 6 version.
  8. Check application release and compatible computer OS in the Downloads page.
  9. Best to use TRS when using battery. TRS = tip/ring/sleeve, tip= signal, ring= +DC volt from battery, sleeve= ground return. Use only Line 6 JTV battery, have had problems with 3rd party and knock-offs. Use alkaline batteries for the battery pack in the original Variax guitars and bass guitars (page-4 in the original Variax manual).
  10. Intermittent ground point allowing digital data or clock to ride on the audio. Gunk getting between the piezo and saddle, resulting in intermittent signal ground, as the saddle serves as the signal ground for the piezos. Tuning and/or intonation needs to be more spot on. Have it checked out by a Line 6 authorized service center.
  11. Parts are in the the pipeline. Waiting on logistics bottlenecks to ease up.
  12. There are parts in the pipeline. There are still supply chain hang ups at different points. What parts and when, I don't know, it changes with the CoVid issue affects. ETA keeps changing, but stuff is out there, and in transit.
  13. It will physically fit, but the stop points will be different and so the Models and Alt Tune points won't line-up the same.
  14. Looking for stock Alt Tunes, one can re-Flash to stock JTV Models and tunings, but you would lose the Shuriken bundle. You could use Workbench HD, save the Shuriken patches to a computer, re-Flash for standard JTV models, save those to a computer, then use Workbench HD to upload Shuriken as desired. Save Shuriken models to computer, do custom patches, save those to computer, and build a library of what it is you like to use and load them in when you want.
  15. No. Custom tuning is best done using the Workbench HD application,.. see the Downloads page for that.
  16. I have serviced a number of these, getting underneath is a big chore. Best left to a Line 6 authorized service center. Love the product, but not very service friendly.
  17. L6 Link bypasses the tube stage. Sounds like it's past time to change out the tubes. This should be done by a Line 6 authorized service center using the specified tubes. It is not just tube swap and bias, there is a service tech test that goes with it, and is not a self repair thing to do.
  18. Sounds like intermittent connection on the switch assembly. Have a Line 6 authorized service tech deal with it.
  19. Just be aware that this is not a Line 6 product. Use at your own risk.
  20. There is an error in the attachment and can not be opened.

It needs to be corrected or deleted before posting can be approved.

  21. I am aware of your registered location. First register the guitar in you account, then log a Support ticket. It could be battery, the charger, main board, jack plate, encoder switch or something else. It will need to be properly troubleshooted by an authorized service tech.
  22. There are a number of reasons for it to fail that way. This will not be a self repair situation. It should be checked out by an authorized Line 6 service technician.
  23. Isoprpyl alcohol on a cotton swab, drip it it onto the piezo, then blow it out with canned air. Repeat as needed. If that doesn't fix, then the piezo may be on the verge of failing. At that point, take to a Line 6 authorized repair for servicing.
  24. Make certain there are no USB hubs connected.
