Tubes, transformers, fuses, miscellaneous parts
psarkissian replied to bimmermanshane's topic in DT50 / DT25
They spell it Littel,... oddly enough. I think it's somebody's surname. Mercury probably got the Ohmage from one and made their own version. Don't know how their specs stack up with ours. -
Tubes, transformers, fuses, miscellaneous parts
psarkissian replied to bimmermanshane's topic in DT50 / DT25
" ... that the transformer went out, probably around the same time the main fuse blew,... " --- More than likely related. As for the EL34's being bad,... depending on how often the tubes were changed and properly biased last. Haven't has any of the main power transformers for some time. Have no third party transformer to recommend. Looked at the Mercury data sheet, it looks close and correct as far as the values go on their transformer, but how good it really is, don't know, have no experience with it. Fuse,... if it's the main power fuse (F2) it's a Littlefuse 239 01.6, Series 239 1.6A/250V Slo-Bo. if it blows,... never ever, never put your fingers in there while the power is on, 300V+ on the line,... hurts like you won't believe. Best to leave it to an authorized service center. -
Tubes, transformers, fuses, miscellaneous parts
psarkissian replied to bimmermanshane's topic in DT50 / DT25
Some parts are still available, some are not, so what can be repaired has become a case-by-case basis thing. So an evaluation at an authorized service center would need to be done to determine that. These are not all analog tube amps like the Marshall and Fenders, so they should not be treated as such. -
Authorized service centers don't take that long,... but these are CoVid times, locked downs, logistic glitches with parts, and all. Still, a year is a long time.

Neo Replacement Speaker for DT 50 (1x12 or 2x12)?
psarkissian replied to leperclown's topic in DT50 / DT25
Don't do that. These are not all analog tube amps, the digital side might not like it. Looking over the specs and frequency response curves,... it''s close, but not close enough. Stick to the specified parts. Outcome? If the power to speaker is not match and the speaker fails or the tubes and speakers fail, it can take down the system. That would leave it un-repairable. Stick to specified parts (tubes, speakers, et al). Don't try to hot rod, a Bogner hot rod it will just blow something. Line 6 does not support modifications to it's product. If something fails we won't be able to help you. Further complicated by the fact that it is now a legacy product. I don't want to see your amp on my repair bench. -
Spider IV HD150 turns off and on
psarkissian replied to schlutopia's topic in Spider IV / Spider Online
Main board, supply, interconnecting cable,... Log a Support ticket i your account. It should be taken to a Line 6 authorized service center in your area. https://line6.com/find/service_center/ Don't try to repair it yourself. -
Would be a third party item as DT Edit is a third party application, and as far as I know, not affiliated with Line 6.

Check the Line 6 Knowledge Base on wireless, there should be an FAQ on that. -

JTV69S+WorkbenchHD+X3Live question
psarkissian replied to cubbini's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
"It all works when I use the Variax USB interface, battery in guitar, 1/4 cable plugged in to JTV69", --- best to do it that way when using Workbench HD. Going through the X3 Live may confuse it, not know which device to deal with. Going through the X3 Live to update Flash through is one thing,... using Workbench HD is different. -

JTV59 without variax components?!
psarkissian replied to eenymason's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
As the guy at Line 6 that works on these,... yes, very much a fake. A Variax by definition has Variax electronics inside. Worse, they didn't even try to hide that it was a fake. It would have cost them too much to go beyond the fake decal. Also, watch out for those that claim to be US made at US made prices, but are not US made. I see those pop up every now and then. -

It's available, but won't run on newer computers. -
For sale USB Interface variax 600 piezos
psarkissian replied to isdirg1's topic in Variax Guitars / Bass / Workbench
Certain they are the original Variax piezos and not the newer ones for JTV's? Because they are NOT interchangeable. Do you have a photo so I can confirm it's the correct piezo, just to be certain? -

Celestion G12H90 speaker vs Celestion G12P-80
psarkissian replied to jakeman19's topic in DT50 / DT25
The Seventy 80 would probably be the closest. -
The U2 video The Edge is playing a 700 Acoustic with a custom paint job, that one is called "Vertigo Red" there is a second one called "Sparkle". They each have a twin that were here at Line 6. Just before the CoVid outbreak and lock-down, U2 had a tour in the works and the twins were brought to me to prep for the tour and ship to their tech. Nice guitars. Everyone here and there was very happy. Too bad about the outbreak and lock-down.

Of recent, Jam' tech replaced the electronics with something else, and still likes the feel of his 700 Acoustic.

Celestion G12H90 speaker vs Celestion G12P-80
psarkissian replied to jakeman19's topic in DT50 / DT25
Those specs should show up in a search on their sight, that's how I know about the difference.
