  1. Sorry, didn't know the TC was an FX unit, thought it was just an acoustic preamp. Don't know what's happening there - when I connect the XLR from the G10 to the analog Input 1 on the PC, I get both signals, L6 Link and analog, and the tuner bypass works as expected. Likewise when I route the XLR through my Scarlett AI (I don't have another FX unit to try), it works as expected. Again, with my eDrums connected to Input 1, all is good. IOW - L6 Link always works, and the analog Inputs always work, and the tuner bypass function always works as expected. I have the PC212, but I don't see any reason why the PC112 should be different. What's baffling is the part about the tuner. There's no reason why that should happen. It indicates that there's a problem within the Helix, not the PC. The only thing I can suggest is to do a Factory reset on both Helix and the PC (BACKUP FIRST!), and, if that doesn't work, re-flash the FW on both. If that doesn't work, contact support. This is a VERY strange problem, definitely not how either device is designed to work, and not how my system works.
  2. If the TC is connected to the Input on the PC, it's not being processed by the Helix. To get a processed signal you'll need to connect the TC to the AUX IN (Floor). You probably want to use a separate path with the AUX as Input on the acoustic path with specific FX, and the electric path Input set to Guitar. If you're using an LT you don't have an AUX IN, so use a RETURN and set the Acoustic Input Block to that RETURN. Set the Output Blocks to DIGITAL and you're good to go! This way there's no need to use the Analog Inputs at all, it'll all come out through the L6 Link, eliminating the possibility of phasing issues or latency with the additional AD/DA conversion that happens when you use the Analog inputs with L6 Link. See the attached example preset. Change the acoustic path input to your return if using an LT. thetonester.hlx
  3. A "bug" affects everybody, and can be reproduced. This is just affecting you. Try the reset again. *Try re-flashing the FW.* If you still have a problem, contact support. Since it's not really a "bug" if support can't reproduce it, it's not likely that a future update will fix it.

  5. I think you're not getting a straight answer because nobody (he's on third) has seen this before. Are your pickups active? Other outboard effects? Bad battery? Have you contacted support?
  6. On those rare occasions when I dust off my tube amp, I use Helix preamps, full amps, and the tube amp's pre. Your question is?

  8. Who stole second. Casey's at bat.....
  9. You know you're posting too much when people agree with what you didn't say..... :-)
  10. The XL will continue to be updated and improved. POD Go will get bug fixes, maybe some new FX, but the best new stuff will be in the XL. The value of parallel paths and flexible block placement is hard to understand at first, but they're incredibly useful. You already have a WAH, get a small pedal board and you've got a better POD Go. I vote for the XL!
  11. No way to do it globally. Whether or not you need a Volume block depends on your use case. Putting a Volume Block first in the chain affects the gain on ODs/amps that follow. Putting it after the ODs/amps but before the time based FX doesn't cut off those FX, which is an effect in itself. Assigning the exp pedal to the Output Block level works great for swells of the total sound and spares a block.
  12. Still works fine on both my systems and in all my DAW's. There's something wonky in your system.
  13. I don't know about the original Cakewalk Sonar, as it's long gone from my machines after "The Big Gibson Rip-off", but if you're using the latest Bandlab Cakewalk (virtually identical but with updates), make sure that Cakewalk is scanning the folder that you installed Native to. Also be aware that it won't let you use the VST2 version, which doesn't really matter since Native in Cakewalk (or anything else W10 unless it supports AAX/AU) won't do MIDI Program Changes anyway. CCs work fine.
  14. I'm hoping that, 18 months later, he's figured it out......
  15. Never had a need for a second exp pedal. I use the built in pedal for WAH and to control the output volume of my PC212+. I've HEARD that the Mission pedals are extremely well made.
  16. We all deal with our personal needs in our own ways. Myself, if something I paid a lot of money for doesn't work as advertised, I want to know why. I may not need the feature today, but if I suddenly find tomorrow that I need it, that's not when I want to have to deal with support. Better to do that BEFORE the need becomes critical. But that's just me.
  17. If you can wait that long, you don't need one. ;-) Consider that L6 just completed a total re-write of the architectural underpinnings to make it easier to update across all of the products in the line. They wouldn't have gone to all that work and expense if the platform was nearing EOL. There's no guarantee that they won't come out with improved HW, but you're not sure you even need the features it already has, and the software is likely going to be the same for at least a couple of years. Except for the regular free updates of course, which just keep making it better. "Forget about tomorrow, LIVE FOR TODAY!"
  18. If it spends most of it's time sitting on the living room floor, get the LT. If money is not a serious issue, get the the Floor and you won't regret not having the extras down the road. Although I rarely play out, I have the Floor because I like the Scribble Strips and the sturdier construction.
  19. HW hasn't changed. FW updated. Take the deal.

  21. In the manual, read the chapter "USB Audio".
  22. Previous post deleted. I had concocted a grandiose but flawed scheme. Some days are just like that.
