  1. The registration will be transfered to you. Make sure the seller UNregisters it. Whether that also gets you the Native deal is unknown.
  2. The main thing is to make sure you can return it in case it has the plink or some of the other issues. Make sure it works perfectly. I believe Line 6 has stated that they are no longer researching the plink issue because they are putting their resources into other things. They didn't so much say they would never revisit it so there is always hope. But I have a suspicion that there is new Varaix technology being explored and if that's true, the plink issue will never be resolved with the current software.
  3. I would imagine so but need an official Line 6 response.
  4. It was stated before but I thought bore repeating. What's being simulated is not an amp. It's an amp that's been miced. So it's not like you're standing in a studio next to an amp. It's like you're in the control booth of a studio listening to an amp that's been mic'd in the studio. This thinking will save you from disappointment if you've mainly played through amps.
  5. Yes. You have two possible paths.....Ooooooops, I mean four possible paths ( ;)) that you can create completely separate sounds in. With snapshots you'll be good. All you need now is a Varaix and you'll be set!!
  6. Yes but I actually often use two cabs/IRs panned left and right as well as different FX in each path. I'm not going to explain myself any further. Just suffice to say I often can't utilize all 4 paths.
  7. I would probably do that but I like to go stereo so I generally have only two paths. That's where my head was.
  8. I'd have to divorce my wife. Just got the Helix. Gotta wait a year for the next thing. Although I have EVERYTHING I need...right?.......Yeah, I know, but if you need help getting something for yourself...I'm there. More than happy to spend other peoples money. :D
  9. I wasn't. My suggestion was to use two paths. See post #2. And it was just a suggestion. Although four paths for three different sounds seems like overkill. ;) :D
  10. If I were in your position, I'd take my wallet out. I don't think it will happen and even if it were to happen, I'll bet it would be a long while. Bottom line though, your guess is as good as anyone else's.
  11. Sorry I mispelled. I meant one path, not patch. I did correct my post.

    output signal

By the way, if you go into Global settings, you can assign the Volume knob to only the 1/4" outputs. The level of the XLR's will then be the same as if the Volume knob is all the way up. Then you just need to set the XLR outputs to mic for your sound guy and adjust the volume using a level parameter on the output or, as I do, the level parameter on the amp block. You can also engage and use the global EQ which has an overall level parameter. Lots of ways to accomplish what you need.
  13. Yes you can do it with one path but I've found that I use a completely different set of blocks for my Variax acoustics. Just know that both options are available. The mag/Variax combination is very cool by the way. I use it for my Stairway to Heaven patch so I have an acoustic and electric at the same time.

The knob labeled Volume if your Volume is still assigned to what your output is.....And what jbuhajla said.
  15. Yes it can be done. You'll definitely need to use two paths. I can't go into detail as it would take a very long time and I would need my Helix in front of me, which it is not. Basically put the Plexi/Clean on one path and the acoustic on the other path would be one way to do it. You would then need to use three snapshots (obviously).
  16. I just want it to come out. I thought pod farm sounded the same as an X3 so hopefully this will be the same. I'm definitely trying it whatever it sounds like. Are we allowed to get any hint as to how close it is?
  17. What simulations do the Amplifi series use? Are they only from the XT/X3 era or only from the HD amps? Or is it a combination of both technologies/algorithms? Is there a list of everything in them? I( can't seem to find one anywhere on the Line website.
  18. What if I have both Helix and Pod Farm 2? Will it be free? ;)
  19. I wondered what that smell was.
  20. That's just the Line 6 mouse. Just feed it some cheese.
  21. Just an FYI. If you disconnect the Volume knob from controlling your output (1/4"-XLR), those outputs are then kept at the maximum so you can protect yourself from accidental Volume knob adjustments.
  22. POD HD Bean is no longer being manufactured.
  23. I took it as a sign that they are done with this incarnation of Variax and are moving on to the next generation of Variax's.
  24. I'm able to run them simultaneously. I don't know if you're supposed to and I haven't really run it through the ringer. But I have changed models in each program and the other program will follow the changes.
