  1. This shouldn't surprise you. Our entire economy is based on facilitating laziness. It's why we're all fat now...we used to have to move to get things...now we just wait for Amazon to dump stuff on the porch.;)
  2. Favorites? None... don't waste your time, for all the reasons Silverhead just listed.
  3. This should be a fairly simple diagnosis. You can either insert the 1/4" plug, or you can't. If not, then there's something in the way...
  4. My experience with such facilities? Mostly soul crushing...L6's in house warranty repair team on the other hand, is very good and treated me quite fairly after a thoroughly useless month-long encounter with my local "authorized service center". Though convenient and all of about 7 minutes away, the first place I took it gave me back an allegedly "fixed" unit which still had the exact same problem (the infamous "fan rattle" on an L2T - now resolved and working fine after a second repair back at the mother ship). In retrospect, I wonder if they actually did anything at all the first time around...hard to say. But after a trip back to L6 (on their dime), I've had no problems. The technical term for what you are experiencing is "warranty repair don'tgivea$hititis". Shops like the one you describe do warranty jobs reluctantly, and mostly because they have no choice...but the truth is there isn't much money in it for them, and thus the paying customers tend to get priority. It sucks, but this is often how it works.
  5. There's really no mystery to leveling patch volumes. If A is louder than B, then turn A down, or B up...or vice versa, whatever floats your boat. The individual channel volumes or the mixer block (or both) can be used. And yes, some amp models are inherently louder than others...somewhat annoying, but it is what it is.
  6. Anywhere between tomorrow morning and doomsday, and it'll include everything that our little hearts desire...
  7. "Because this device cannot efficiently perform functions for which it was not designed, therefore it is 'limited' ". Ugh...roughly akin to complaining that you can't sky dive from a submarine. Next!
  8. Lmao...well done. Exactly what this conversation deserves...started silly, ended silly. Perfect bookends. 😂
  9. Well that was quick, lol... just one mention of this Mueller dude, and POOF! Instant results... literally a one minute turnaround. Now THAT'S service, lol. "Arrangement-gate" has been resolved. We now return you to your regularly scheduled fizz/tuner sucks/Fractal is better discussions. ;)
  10. I demand an investigation! Somebody call that Mueller guy... let's see if he's busy. ;)
  11. I still think the parachute add-on was way overpriced...and no reserve chute?!? Dirt torpedoes don't buy much new gear. Sheesh...;)
  12. Well there was deviation from "the arrangement", you see...they also didn't drive to his house and give him a foot massage. Can you imagine that?!?! NO FOOT MASSAGE! I'll never buy anything from L6 again either until any apology is issued. SOLIDARITY! Lmao...wow that's hard to keep up. ;)
  13. This has nothing to do with your personal work ethic, or the rest of your team at the home office. It never does...but we both know that that if the OP hadn't shown up here to gripe, and you hadn't seen his post, he'd be at the mercy of the Rhodes Scholars he's already been dealing with for the last 2 months. Independent repair shops don't want to do warranty work because there's little payoff, and it'll always end up last on their list of things to do...it's just the way it is. You know it, and I know it.
  14. In my experience, "authorized service centers" often leave just about everything to be desired, and are only marginally better than leaving your item to be repaired by the residents of the gorilla habitat at the Bronx Zoo. This really has nothing to do with Line6 per se, it's just part of the wonderful world of warranty repair. Repairs which are free, of course...and as we all know, you tend to get what you pay for. Should it be this way? No, but it often is. All that being said, 2 months is absurd by anyone's definition. Take it back and contact L6 directly. You may have to send it back to the mother ship and have it repaired there. Open a service ticket, or better yet, call customer service directly and explain the situation. Maybe they can expedite things for you.
  15. And you're only "disappointed"? What, no moral outrage because they didn't also give you a free lifetime membership in the Jelly of the Month Club to take the sting off your "late" replacement? Ugh... I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that you're probably not gonna get much in the way of sympathy...
  16. And the 1.21 gigawatt framistan modulator feeds a model 163 Fetzer valve. Who can compete with that? Lol...best of luck in your quest.
  17. And it never will...doesn't work that way. The VDI cable allows Helix to power the guitar, but it doesn't charge the battery. The cradle is the only option for that. The odd LED behavior, I can't explain...may be that the battery is defective, or just on its way out and not taking a full charge anymore? Who knows...if the Variax is still under warranty, open a service ticket.
  18. Well why would ya...inferior product that it is? 😕
  19. Worship whom/whatever you wish...that's none of my business. But you won't get any advance info from the powers that be, no matter how nicely you ask. It's just the way they do things. We all find out when they want us to find out.
  20. Installing a microwave in your Variax would probably be easier. I'd give up on this one, if I were you...
  21. They all hafta play nice in public. Nobody wants a brawl at the next NAMM...those product demo guys can get cranky. ;)
  22. Cults are like that...line up for your track suit and bowl haircut...eyes front, no talking! Nibiru is coming on Saturday...;)
  23. Yes...it's called "waiting for the press release".
