  1. 1. Did you this start when you installed something --- like the firmware? 2. Did you try unplugging the USB? 3. Does the unit functional other than the screen?
  2. Abso-frickin-lutely. But, that is why I prefaced it with - depending on what he means by 'practice'.
  3. And be glad for that... If the 'younger generation' was here on a regular basis, there would be no more Q&A. It would turn into a Facebook type of chatfest the way they did with my website --- and every website since. Content be damned. Make it all social.
  4. I've been in the entertainment business for 30+ years, but don't let that number fool you. I started very young. For me, it was a combination of many things. None of which were --- wanting to try new tech.
  5. The problem with EDIT, is in its name. It is there to edit. When you make changes to your patch --- such as activating/deactivating an fx or changing a tempo --- how does the machine know the difference between making an edit and simply testing out the edits you made.
  6. This was dead days ago -- basically, the minute the op came back and apologized for being a lollipop. But others had to keep it going. Even had to use specific people's names in their posts. Or haven't you noticed that a certain crowd seems to be trying to be mute, while the others continue.
  7. 1. ¿desea volver a instalar el firmware? 1a. Seguido de un restablecimiento global? 2. Es el botón de las otras funciones? Esto le permitirá determinar si es hardware o software.
  8. Doing something like that forces me to resort to your level and do some name calling. What you just did is a schmuck move. And you're a schmuck because of it.
  9. That's why people who utilize a 'backtrack' or other forms of sync tech, tend to start to include more and more of it, until everyone is just dancing around to an album. As everyone that has come before me has said --- Anything you change will not be saved unless you save it. So all you need to do it recall the preset to recall the original settings. QUESTION Are you running this with EDIT attached? THAT is going to be part of the problem.
  10. IF you are running the latest firmware, there is a setlist designed specifically for the Variax. It is a good place to start. See which you like. See what they use in them. Start building your own around your likes.
  11. "late in the cycle" only matters if you intend on buying the next product simply because a new product was released. Me, on the other hand, I haven't bought the bonus material, nor do I think I will. But, I intend on keeping my current product until it is dead. So, I would certainly get my money's worth if I did buy them.
  12. Unfortunately, 0 doesn't always mean mute. I don't use the VP except on rare occasions, so I can't speak from first hand knowledge. But there have been posts about it before. See if this one helps: http://line6.com/support/topic/12828-amp-volume-control-problem/
  13. To the OP This isn't FaceBook. You don't tag people in posts. They don't get a little notifier telling them that they've been mentioned.
  14. Disclaimer: Revo can be very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. Please take your time. If you don't know what something is and does, do not tell Revo to delete it.
  15. You've posted twice since saying you were done. Including once to say that you were voting for a post, almost as if you were trying to raise your post count, LOL. Usually when someone says they are done, it means they are done. It means they go away. So, which is? Are you: a. done, which means there will be no follow up, b. trying to raise your post count, the way you accuse others, or c. trying to have the last word. Quite frankly, if you were a man of your word, you said you were done, which means you aren't even here to read the question.
  16. Have you considered downloading a couple, installing them into your pod, and then writing down what amp corresponds to what code? I'm sure you know, you can arrange the customtone listings by amp. So, it will be easier to track down all amps of the same code.
  17. Believe it or not... Depending on what you consider a 'practice' amp and how much volume you need, Just run down to Radio Shack and buy yourself a set or $20 computer speakers.
  18. And yet... You're the ones still sitting here talking about it 3 days later.
  19. This is the reason why, in the old days of 'pedals', we often had multiple of the same box >> so we could hook it up at various places in the chain. A flanger before the distortion sounds different than a flanger after the distortion. Your Pod and your 11 are going to need tested in various hookup scenarios before you find what works best for you.
  20. That depends on you. No right or wrong. Input 1 - guitar input 2 - same but others use a mic, so they need a mic input. Or a 2nd guitar input. Some people complain about the noise created using guitar/same. No right. No wrong. But remember ---- The way you have you unit set when you design 'the perfect' patch, is how you need to have it set when you use the patch. Change one thing, everything changes.
  21. BT is slow. Which would be a pain each time you hook up, because the unit does a complete sync. EDIT slows down the machine, so live application of EDIT is pointless - be it wired or wireless. Your best bet would be to ask for wired android versions of EDIT. The trickiest part is getting the unit to recognize a device. New devices can be made for this stuff. Older stuff, is limited to what can be done with what was already done.
  22. Monkey, and EDIT. Those are the two you need. Everything else depends on your needs/wants/uses.
  23. You can also assign multiple fx to a single pedal. That way you can turn them on/off at the same time --- if that is something you need. It may reduce your need for 8 switches, depending on your usage.
  24. 1. that's two buttons. If he wanted that, couldn't he just use two buttons as individual on/off buttons? 2. Can you assign the same feature to multiple switches? I have uses for that if you can.
