Because you are mixing apples and oranges and getting samsung You can run 2 inputs. You can run 2 signal chains. And you can combine them in various forms. But you can only run left/right outputs. You need to set up the patch for that type of usage. Otherwise, you can run into situations where input 1 is sharing fx with input 2 and they are both coming out of both outputs. *I am walking out the door right now. Someone can explain it better. Or you can take that information and use it to search for your own solution before they get here.

not all bass amps are created equal. I have a Peavey KB/A 100. Which happens to be very good for this type of unit. I can't say that I would use, as example, a 1966 Ampeg B15 NF. Of course, I have other options that are better. But, it works when I need it to. If I was buying something, I would do it right. I wouldn't get something that qualifies as "it works when I need it to". So, yes, I would say to go for monitors over amps.

smart any number of issues could be involved. not enough info was given. but remember (or realize, if you didn't know it to begin with), you are talking about edit software. it is not performance software. use it to edit, then close it. the point of modeling is to not need an amp. in fact, an amp can dampen the entire point of having modeling in the first place. that doesn't mean you can't use an amp. you can change the settings so that it goes in that direction. can't go wrong with a system designed for it

If you aren't looking for "top of the line" and you have no intentions of gigging - which probably also means your recording is "for fun" and not for professionally mastered albums that are needed to be sold to support your drug habit... Then, why not spend $500 (or $200 for a used one) on an HD500x. You get all the bells and whistles, without all the bells and whistles. Meaning, it is the top of the line, but of yesterday. You get more of the important stuff than you do with with lesser Helix models, but don't get the latest upgrades like touch screen. *and it has an 3.5mm jack specifically for audio players. no need to bother with blue tooth or separate speakers. Either way, whatever model you buy, that's up to you. As to the amplification - L6 does make an amp for modelers. But, given your current volume limitations, I don't see you really using it or any thing else we typically suggest. So, the new suggestion would be to find a way to be able to patch it into your home stereo. Or, even though you don't want to, use your computer - which could be just the speakers if they are self powered.

if your sole purpose is to hook your guitar up to your computer, there are way cheaper solutions

you have, obviously, gotten some terminology confused. by switching to patch 2, patch 1 goes off. so, instead, I think you are referring to an effect block.... No, you cannot turn off button 1 while turning on button 2. BUT, you can assign multiple effect blocks to the same button. So, yes, you can do it. But it needs done with the same button, not different buttons.

don't take this the wrong way.... sell the guitar. take the money and live like a king for a year. Beyond that.... tune the guitar however you want. and then use use the transpose to do what you need. rock on

Good. Then you know how to set up a wah. And you know it works. You'd be amazed at how many people want 'advanced' help, only to discover they didn't know how to program the wah in the first place.

Option D : Buy a non-trem guitar for different tunings. Tuning on a GLP is so much easier. You could also go with a Variax, which will digitally alter tunings for you without the need to actually tune the guitar. AND, the settings can be stored in your patches. Option G: Buy a different guitar for each tuning, and a backup of each. Plus, slap some common sense into your band mates that want to play songs that require different tunings. Nobody wants to sit there sipping their beer waiting you guys to tune and detune and then retune. Option Z: Buy a bass.

there is an Apple version (don't ask me for any info on Apple stuff) But, no, the unit does not work on chrome book, or even portable versions of Windows (such as found in netbooks). You'll need a laptop running a full version of Windows. Someone with geek knowledge can be more specific if they come around.
