  1. maybe required because controls get too small in high res? Im curious as Im looking into a new macbook pro.
  2. Make sure you pan the signals full left and right, and set mix to100%.' It only works in stereo. In mono it causes phase issues and comb filtering. Even if in stereo and the 2 speakers are too close, to me phase becomes an issue. Does the mimic do well in mono, or is it stereo only?
  3. New on the endangered species list. The housecat. Ever since the Helix arrived... :)
  4. photos / video of helix? and/or share the preset with us, then we can figure it out. to attach a preset, I think you have to rename it with a .txt suffix.
  5. In not a Looper owner, but wouldn't be east to go Left / Right 1/4 out of helix into Left / right in on looper, then Left / Right out to on Looper to PA? That way anything heard can be looped, any preset can be used, and not glitches or gaps in the loop when changing presets. Helix can even be rebooted while loop continues. Just wondering.
  6. Look at Mayer's setup. :^O. Glad I gave a Helix!
  7. 1. Floor coupling is a big effect. Is your 210 on the floor? I have 2 110's on the floor, built patches and they were so thin and brittle in our PA, I had to redo them all. 2. I would refrain from putting left and right into one speaker. It will give you phase issues and comb filtering if your presets are stereo.
  8. I too LOVE the "amp in the room" sound, or i like to say feel. Adds another dimension to the tone. I found with 2ts110's side by side in the floor wedge position gets really really really close, but all my tones ended up thin and a little shrill when going to the PA. If the setup inspires, good music is created and we can worry about the details later. :):):)
  9. Popcorn popped, soda in hand. Waiting for the show..... ;)
  10. Just hoping. It was useful but the Helix is way way way better in every way.
  11. A few other ideas not mentioned. Gauge of strings, age of strings, tuning? Just some thoughts. You mentioned Slash pups, what value pots and caps are in the guitar?
  12. Good call!!! If i reference the way Boss does it, 100% is what is in the patch. 0 is reverb off. Essentially -100%. And 200% is like doubling. Thanks for commenting, i hope it adds clarity to what i was thinking.
  13. try it with an mesa EQ block. Boost 2db and boost 2K a few, cut 250 a few. Just some alternate methods. you may find less overall boost needed.
  14. Exp 1? Or exp 2? Getting at the exp 1 volume bug. Supposed ti be addressed soon. Hopefully
  15. Friendly bump. Still would like this. Global reverb level. https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Global-Reverb-Percentage-amount/799771-23508

    Duel amps

    Duel amps

Dual paths can work. Best "switch" paths with a gain block at front of each path. Assign switch to 0 on one and -120? (I forget the exact number) on the other. Effectively switching input level of each path. I run multi amps in series with each other. I usually put the amps on path 1 and cabs on path 2. That way you can share blocks (od, delays, reverbs, etc). Edit: Make sure one amp block on at a time. With amp block off signal passes uneffected.
  18. I meant for the noobs like me.
  19. Great point. I spent most of my playing life in the bedroom. I was never in a proper band. A few years ago at 43 to present, i finally get to experience a "real" band. Big eye opener is the difference in tone from bedroom to band. I found when tone was perfect alone, it gets lost in a band, then volume up to compensate and muddy sounding band. Slight harsh IME = cut through mix so less volume needed. Happy me, happy vocal, happy audience. OP probably already knows this, but for anyone else reading this thread.

    Wah pedal

Did you add an external exp pedal as exp2? That would do it too

    Wah pedal

The toe button under the wah pedal should turn on wah block, turn off volume block, and switch the pedal to exp1.
  22. I may do the loop also, Just more wiring. I got the Helix not only for the tone, but i am lazy. one wire from "pre-board" to Helix. The loop makes me add two more wires. :o lol I can see putting it in a parallel route with a particle verb or the like and produce an awesome ambient type tone. Very flute-like. Pete's demo shows it.
  23. Imagine the oops factor of accidentally deleting a preset or multiple presets with one click. I like the work-around, very intentional way it is now.
  24. You will find many opinions on how to connect. We all have had different experiences. Currently, I do one path like Silver recommends with Multi out. Personnaly i go 1/4 out to an ISO box to FOH. This isolates me from any phantom power issues, and other equipment connected to the FOH mixer. XLR out to my 2 TS110a's. I usually set them as a "backline" if thats how we all are setting up. I assign the main volume knob to control only the xlr outs so i can turn up and not affect FOH. All in stereo or mono. Now for the TS110. They are really designed to 'fly' or pole mount and sound good. On the floor, they have very strong punch which sounds and feels good but may not match the tone of the PA. I find i need to global eq the xlr only to match the FOH tone. My suggestion is set up, turn 110s off and get good sound from the FOH. Then eq the xlr only (110's) to match. I pull 300 hz or so down 7db and low cut around 100 (i dont want to fight the bass, they usually win) My personnal choice of ISO box is the ART DTI. I know there are better brands, but this one has all formats in to all formats out without any boost or loss. Its about $60 (USA) and passive. Its very versatile not a one trick pony.
  25. Waiting for mine too..... I was thinking out in front of helix. I have a small "board" (literally a 17" x 4" piece of wood) with wireless, tuner, Drop, and soon, Freqout. Anderton's has a new review video showing in front and after overdrive. I like before, seemed more natural, as feedback comes from strings being "excited" by speaker.
