Voted. A while ago!!! I love my wampler velvet fuzz. Not a "classic" fuzz but goes from clean to full on fuzz with the gain. -
Maybe an L6 expert can chime in. In regards to the volume pot in the pedal is Vol down full resistance and vol up no resistance? It seems if volume up is no resistance (full contact) in the pot, there must be a loose contact somewhere. Maybe mission got a bad set of 1/4 jacks or pots.

Does WD-40 react with rubber? There are rubber to metal washers inside. Use a non-reactive lub like silicone. But if you prefer WD-40.........

Is it bad to shor out one of the sides of the built in head phone amp? I dont know myself.

What I mean by flat mic is..... We hear what an amp speaker puts into a room. The flat mic measures that and Helix replicates that into an FRFR. So sound coming from FrFr / PA is the closest to actual amp without mic coloration. Maybe a way to "record" the movement of the speaker with a laser measurement device. And speaker cab vibration. It seems to me the cab puts the "amp in the room" more than just the speaker. Thinking outside the box and possibilities. I think the helix sounds as good as my real amps. I find it a volume thing and boosting some low end.

A perfectly flat measurement type mic?

press save once, on the Helix screen lower right you can dial a new location. Then press save again. i have not tested of it changes both or just saves at the new location without affecting the original

snapshot allows you to set the preset to the tone you like and save the current state of all effects and parameters. You may want to turn on or off some effects, adjust some parameters within effects and amps to create your lead tone. you can save that to snapshot 2. snapsot 3 can be another state and so on. (Up to 64 parameters can be changed with snapshots) a snapshot always uses the same preset so the change is instant. When changing presets, the Helix has to dump all effects and load the new ones which takes a small but noticable amount of time.

I read over in Chad's facebook group, he and a few others noticed an audio bug as if a phaser is stuck on. Is this true? I have not updated yet.

Allow led colors and dim options for the Snapshots http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Snapshots-LED-colors-etc/831869-23508

Maybe the compressors were fixed. Prior to 2.0, the LA comp and the Red comp started out fully compressed and had to release back to full volume.
-
i wonder what the cause is? Bad screen or bad solder?
-
Eruption? Respect!

Yes could be confusing but one could always assign all red if they wanted. Even have option for dim/no led when inactive like the stomp mode option but seperate.
-
Is there a way to get a dim led ring on the inactive snapshots?

Possible to send full signal to 1/4 inch out, and 20% signal to xlr??

ahhhhh, I see now. Then the split path above is better. -

This or if you need this for all patches you can set the "Volume Knob Controls" in Global settings (third page) to XLR. Now the 1/4 outs will always be full and set the XLR's with the big volume knob on helix to what ever you need. I guess the disadvantage is you may bump the knob. the advantage is its global and can be changed for all patches / venues on the fly. -
Best I can think of is use the copy and paste feature.

make sure you have latest ios version. I got clicks/pops prior to version 9.3.1. Now on 9.3.2 and it works great. (ipad 3) Edit: oops misread your quote. The dock usb is midi only, no audio signal.

I have an Alesis IO Dock, basically similar function as the above dock. Its great for integrating the ipad into sound systems, or for plugging my guitar directly into ipad(not using Helix) But for recording, i use USB camera kit into MulitTrack DAW. MulitTrack is simple and can record usb 1/2 and usb 7 for reamping purposes if needed. You get a perfect 24 bit recording without the 2 extra DA/AD conversions. Beacause it uses just the usb connection, it allows me to bring the ipad to rehearsals/gigs and record my parts without any additional connections or integrations to the sound system, PA, FOH, monitors, etc.

Good find. Its weird when using a second exp pedal it still uses the toe switch to turn off the block. This will help be tremendously when i add a second exp pedal.

We all hope for a polyphonic pitch effect. The Helix is only monophonic, one note. Like theKennyG says, Digitech Drop. Done.

Another issue you may have aside from volume. I use 2 alto ts110a's. At first I set the tone with these to find a fairly brittle tone when I went to FOH. I think modern powered PA speakers tend to be high bass low mid hyped to give the people that thump without needing a sub. My solution was to compare my tone with some 8" studio monitors I have. Great tone in the altos, thin in the monitors. I ended up global eq'ing the altos: -7db around 300hz, -5db near 900hz to match the studio monitors. Now FOH sounds nearly the same as the Altos. :) Shows the need for separate global eq for different outputs. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Seperate-global-eq-s-1-4-xlr/804057-23508
