Separate cases may be better. Backpack and a small peadalboard? it seems for a workable fly-rig using Helix, you need to eliminate external pedals.

My Alto TS112 monitor makes noise when Helix is powered off

Grounding.? The Helix 1/4 outs use the signal - for ground while xlr separates ground and signal -. -

Ideascale for OP issue? -
I noticed my "classic" boss gt5's belly is getting bigger. I think helix has been sneaking out of its case. Come to think of it, all my tube amps have been "acting" different lately.....hmmmmmmm. How do I keep Helix in it's own bed?

Depends if the fuzz is the type that needs to 'see' the pickups directly.

HELIX - How do you output the audio for performance or recording?
Joepeggio replied to MarkJarvis's topic in Helix
Ive ran xlr to interface (NI Komplete Audio 6), s/pdif (Komplete), USB direct. Also 1/4 to mixer, xlr to mixer, all through the same studio monitors. It all sounds essentially the same. Seems like a presonus issue to me. -
Interesting. I can get -18 to -10 db from my guitar directly plugged in to a blank preset. Unity gain is large volume bypassed in global or set to max. I find all factory presets too loud and always turn down the "Ch Vol" in the amp block. The master in the amp block will affect the tone of the amp like in a real amp, so I don't use that for level changes. It must be some sort of gain staging or impedance mismatch somewhere.

Input reduction after >30 minutes on the same preset?

known issue. On some mesa amps, especially if bass is turned down. I guess a fix should come in next update? -

mesa amp? -
I would think any pedal in front of Helix would have an affect, since the impedance in Helix is a real circuit loading the pickups (based on Line 6's explanation of the circuit). Same affect as having anything in front of a fuzz pedal on a board. Just educated guesses. Only way to tell is to test.

Loose solder joint? Loose internal connecting cable?
-
Auto sets impedance to the first block's real world impedance. Not sure if gain block has that.?. The issue is the impedance doesn't change with the on off state of the block. In real pedals. Many change some not. In OP example, the Arbitor Fuzz, the designed low impedance of that pedal is needed to sound good. But when off it still affects the sound in a bad way (for most people). We are hoping line 6 changes the behavior to the first ACTIVE pedal.

Keeping all. I figure it's all a loss if sold today and I have the storage space. Still using TC Polytune mini, Digi Drop, Digi Freqout, Mooer (Yes mooer) Yellow Comp, and Dunlop Mini Wah. All on a small board in front of Helix, one wire set-up.

Great advice. In fact, I use all right angle cords if there's room.

In stereo, the dual cab block is panned left and right. Makes a bigger sound.
-
And maybe a reinstall of firmware...
-
At the same time or switch between? I use wireless. So all through guitar in.
-
Mine does not behave this way. A single long press gets me straight to the tuner without tempo change. If your switch is glitchy, that may cause issues.

I will retract my statement on line 6's accuracy in current handling of impedance. Side note, after further reading, the original fuzz face IS true bypass (for lack of better term). In so, line 6 does need to fix this issue. I think support tickets may be in order.
