  1. That’s interesting. I purchased my Stomp based on the existing feature set rather than any possible future updates.
  2. Based on my admittedly limited understanding of this update, I’m going to even more patiently wait for 2.81. :-) I say this half jokingly, but it does appear that it’s not a minor update given what’s been reported as a convergence (?) of code among the platforms. I bought my Stomp based on its existing feature set, and it’s holding up quite well to date.
  3. Absolutely. 6-2 delays leaves 4 more blocks to use!
  4. I would keep the superego in the aresenal and not worry about trying to replicate it in the helix. I don’t think the helix comes anywhere near granular synthesis in any of its capabilities
  5. Mine is Pitch shifter->Distortion->HX Stomp->Strymon BigSky I also have a Strymon Volante in the FX loop

    Main Guitar

Down to one guitar now - a Les Paul standard (with coil tapping features). Have my eye on a PRS DGT model, though...maybe a Christmas present to myself!
  7. I haven’t used my Stomp as an interface, but there is info on USB signal routing on page 44 of the Stomp manual. It may be possible with a little creativity. Take a look there first.
  8. An expression pedal (mission engineering works well) and an external reverb pedal (Strymon bigsky is awesome) which will free up a block on the stomp.
  9. The HX stomp is a nice, small-footprint option
  10. Cool! Just purchased today. For registered HX/Helix owners, it’s hard to argue with that price.
  11. Sounds like the Tech21 MIDI mouse would fit your needs....that’s basically all it does.
  12. MIDI implementation for the MC6: https://morningstar-engineering.github.io/MC6-MKII-Midi-Controller/site/09-midi-implementation/ I don’t see anything for simple status changes.
  13. I haven’t personally tried this with my MC6, but the second cable would be the only way I could imagine achieving that status update. If possible, you may want to see if you can reduce down to a single source for the snapshot selection.
  14. If you can, save up and get this one: https://www.morningstarfx.com/mc6-mkii
  15. What are those reasons which you state to be obvious?
  16. Don’t forget that you can also mix and match stock cabinets with the amp models. You might get a good sounding combination w/o even needing to explore IR’s
  17. There are quite a few ways to do this....put in an eq set to flat, but adjust the level on it to give your signal a boost, adjust the output level itsel, put in a compressor and adjust its level, etc. Those are things that come to mind right away.
  18. I’ve never needed to have amp models sound exactly like their real-world counterparts....just get me close enough and provide a quality model and I’m happy.
  19. Check the FAQ here: There is a blurb regarding power supplies in it
  20. Here’s a decent example of a setup using only 6 blocks:
  21. If you can also eliminate any power source as being faulty, you should probably contact Line 6
  22. I’ve never had that happen once on mine. Was USB connected either time?
  23. I think Line6 hit a decent happy medium with the Stomp. I like its simplicity. I’ve also freed up a block by sending the output from it to my Strymon Bigsky eliminating the need for an internal reverb. For those with complex internal routing needs, this unit is definitely not for you
