  1. You just started two new threads about this. I am sure by tomorrow you will have some solid responses.
  2. What amp model/overdrive blocks are you using?
  3. Your Strymons should have a list of MIDI PC/CC#s that control various functions within their pedals. You just need that list so you can have the snapshots call up those commands to change your Strymon presets. I am sure someone here will chime up here with EXACTLY which MIDI commands will do this.
  4. Cool. Be sure to mark you post as "answered" so someone may find the same fix if needed.
  5. If you go through USB, you don't have to use one of your signal paths up.
  6. Well that's crap, my Fractal tuner is not fizzy.
  7. How can I get the tuner to not have so much fizz?
  8. Yes, all ingredients have to be in there. Take a look a Richie Castellano's video, it does a really good job explaining the concept and steps through setting it up.
  9. iPhone/iPad connected to USB with a Lightning/USB adapter works. Audio will come through on USB in 1/2, and you can adjust volume in Global Settings. Also a PC/Mac connected to USB does the same, but you don't need Lighting adapter obviously.
  10. If you listen to headphones connected to Helix directly (do not monitor what is coming from your DAW), are your amps panned correctly?
  11. That is correct, you will get two mono channels A amp on one channel and B amp on the other channel. Once in your DAW, you have to pan those tracks within your DAW so they play out of left and right. Same as when you send the 2 XLRs to FOH. The sound guy will have to hard pan them at the board if you want them to be A in left and B in right in the mains. You are just panning them in Helix to get them to separate XLR outputs. If you want them panned outside of the Helix, you have to pan then in DAW/Mixer.
  12. Stomps and snaps can effectively do the same/similar thing, but with stomps you have a limited number of parameters and you have to "manually" program each one for that foot switch. Snaps can control many more parameters, and you don't have to manually program to the particular foot switch. A snapshot is just that, it is a saved snapshot of all of your block states, as well as control over parameters you decide to control (parameters you set in brackets). I think of snapshots as like a screen shot on your computer. You set up your preset, save to snapshot 1...set up your preset a different way, save to snapshot 2, etc... That is why you cannot move any of your blocks to a different location, they are snapshots (or screen shot) of your preset with different states of parameters.
  13. Yes, you have to hard pan them left and right in your signal chain.
  14. Are you using Helix as your interface to DAW or are you plugged in XLRs to an external interface? Sounds like you are going XLR to an interface so each of your hard panned amp models is a mono signal.
  15. Connect to a send, and put a send block near the front of your signal chain before any effects.
  16. Go to Global Settings>Preferences>Snapshot Edits, what do you have it set for. Sounds like you may have it on Recall, and not Discard.
  17. True, but if you are just changing a parameter value of something that is already turned on, then you are good. I do this with amp drive and channel volume, OD pedal drive, etc with a stomp. If you just want to kick up the drive a bit, and maybe boost the mids for your lead, you can do that with a momentary stomp, or expression pedal.
  18. You can do that with a stomp. You can control quite a few parameters with a momentary stomp switch.
  19. Not an option. Cabs have a "default" mic associated with them. You will have to change the mic whey trying different cabs.
  20. Yes, I use them with Helix. I use them to build my tones at home (on the floor as wedges, set on "monitor" mode), which translate very well to our QSC based system at church. At the time I was speaker shopping, I found a deal on Amazon for $325 each, free speaker stand, free shipping, no tax. I bought two. There is a LOT of volume available there if you need it for a live setting.
  21. So what you're saying is that I could control 6 snaps with the MC6...AND... have 10 stomp mode running on the Helix...fo' real?
  22. Keep you eye out for sales on the TC Electronic Polytune clip. I picked one up for $29 a while back at Sweetwater. I got it because I don't like the tuner on the Helix. Polytune Clip is a fantastic little tuner, and you don't need to use up room on your pedal board.
  23. I use G10 at church. We have an X32 with dedicated wifi router set up for Apple devices to connect and change monitor mix. We also have a range of wireless IEM packs and mics that are in the 2.4GHz range. I have NEVER had an issue in that environment in the year I have been using the G10. I always dock my G10 after all devices are up and running to ensure it grabs a channel that works well with all the other things running.
  24. There are many different price points on speakers, starting from the Alto 210s ($) all the way to Line 6 Stagesource ($$$). Many users are very happy with everything within that range. I am currently on the lower $ end with JBL EON 610s, and am very happy with them.
