  1. You can also route your acoustic signal through some 3rd party impulse responses for some REALLY great acoustic tones. Add a little delay/reverb and it is brilliant.
  2. You are picking up electrical/electromagnetic noise on the 1/4" cable, being amplified by the speaker.
  3. For some reason it sounds like your H9 is not coming through in stereo, that's why it sounded weak when placed after the HX reverb. You may have to pan left and right on your send/returns for the H9 to get it sounding wider.
  4. Open a support ticket with Line 6 so they can get you through the issue.
  5. I'm starting to worry about mine as well. Though I bought mine from Sweetwater, so I have 2 year coverage. I wonder if the micro USB connector is surface soldered to the board.
  6. Which Helix type are you using? I think someone else experienced something similar and posted about it a week or two ago.
  7. I believe that EB VPs can me mechanically adjusted to get 0-100% full throw sweep of the potentiometer. You may have to adjust it.
  8. Do you have your send/returns set to instrument level to the La Grange?
  9. Search "fizz" in the search bar of this forum.
  10. Most likely the micro USB 5vdc charger port broke free from the circuit board. It's a known weakness.
  11. Hmm, not sure where I got that then. After tweaking around with it, it sure sounds like one on my strat (although I have never played a real one personally). Just goes to show no matter what you call something, if it sounds good to you...then is sounds good.
  12. Page 33 of the manual. You should be able to set ouput to XLR on the tuner screen and the Helix will not mute the XLR outs. Since you have your guitar output on your preset to 1/4", your guitar signal shouldn't come over the XLRs that are not muted with the tuner.
  13. Can you post a picture of your preset. You must be missing something in the setup of your preset.
  14. Set up path 1 with a clean amp and whatever else you want in that path. Then on path 2 set up a completely different amp that is overdriven, with whatever other effects you want. Set both paths with the guitar input, and the same outputs. Now you are playing both at the same time.
  15. For some reason I didn't realize the Litigator was modeled after the Dumble Overdrive Special (to the best of my understanding). I played with it a while back just with factory default settings, and thought "meh". Since finding out about what it was modeled after, I played around with the amp settings, threw in two cabs, and WOW. I am now using it as my go-to.
  16. You will enjoy it. Helix seems to be more intuitive to "old schoolers" since we tend to understand all the little things that they spent so much time modeling in the digital realm.
  17. I need this job, even if it is "part time from home". Line 6... my resume is updated, just shoot me an IM.
  18. The harmonizer he would have used is the H910. Not sure if you can get the H3000 modeled in Helix to do similar things. You may have to use some extra delay on the end of the chain to get a feedback type of effect. Good luck, I wouldn't know where to begin on that one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eventide,_Inc#/media/File:H910_Harmonizer.jpg

    Helix delays

You can program Helix foot switches to adjust any (up to 8 simultaneously) parameter on the delays, either latching or momentary. You can also program an expression pedal to control any (or many) of the delay parameters as well. You just have to get creative.
  20. Oh yeah, I didn't notice Belgium.
  21. My process for this is: 1. turn everything off except for amp/cab, play vigorously, adjust amp channel volume to achieve around -12dB in DAW via USB (Helix main volume knob does not control USB volume), adjust by ear if desired. 2. Do the same thing with any foot switches programmed to adjust amp settings (drive, master), twitch between that and previous amp setting, adjust volume by ear. The main amp setting is my reference. 3. Amp with compressor only, switch compressor on/off repeatedly, amp/cab only is my reference, adjust level of compressor 4. Amp with overdrive #1 only, switch OD#1 on/off repeatedly, amp/cab only is my reference, adjust level of OD#1 5. Amp with overdrive #2 only, switch OD#2 on/off repeatedly, amp/cab only is my reference, adjust level of OD#2 etc... When building a new preset I will compare levels of each preset to each other with amp/cab only on, switching between two presets, adjusting preset #2 volume until they sound "equalized". I then go through the same process on preset #2.
