  1. Just stack two EQs in the front of your chain boosting around 500Hz and see what it sounds like.
  2. Does the percentage of the volume block drop to 1% when it shuts off? What firmware are you on?
  3. Man that's awesome. Now you can just concentrate on playing and tweaking
  4. Haven't listened to any of Behringer's speakers. We run their X32 board, S16 in/out rack, and P16 IEM controllers on stage and they are fantastic. Alto 210s sound good. If you play any 7 string stuff, you may wan the 12" version for more low end.
  5. If it's floppy, try tightening it a bit. Maybe it is dropping a little when you take your foot off.
  6. Apples and oranges. We're lucky enough to have psarkissian the service engineer creeping the forums with his input on this issue. If anyone can figure out the issue (over a social media forum), he can.
  7. I read back more carefully on what you are trying to achieve. You would like a "master clean", "master crunch" , etc... that you can change the Master values and it will effect all presets that the Masters are used in. There is not a way to do that in Helix. That is why I do a preset per song. If something is not cutting through on that particular song, I adjust on the fly and save it so that it will be right the next time I call it up. If I was adjusting a master that is used in multiple presets, I may have undesirable results in other presets.

    Helix case/bag

Oh yes, then I can just kick in my Steve Cropper presets and let 'er rip. I need some Ray Bans I guess...
  9. I create a core tone with amp, cab/IR, overdrives, distortions and save the preset as a template. I then create different "workflow" templates based off of that (wet/dry, super serial, etc...). Then from there I can sprinkle in the necessary effects for what I am trying to achieve. I reserve one of my setlists for "template" presets, then just copy them to a different setlist to create presets per song. Within those song specific presets, I use snapshots primarily to change the sound within the song.
  10. You might try loosening up a bit with the provided hex wrench. Sometimes if it is too tight, you won't get it all the way to the heel position consistently. They are pretty tight out of the box.
  11. There's a balance of targeted customers, available features, and price. They could have added loads of communication protocols and high resolution converters, but then it wouldn't be the cheapest wireless on the market.
  12. Icons freezing when connected to PC running Editor. I don't think it was happening when on Mac, but I haven't connected to that in a while.
  13. Sometimes the block icons become unresponsive when turning the block on or off, but the block turns on and off. I inadvertantly turned something off while that was happening but the icon still indicated that it was on, which really threw me off. Try AK's suggestion above if you want to blend the IR/cab.
  14. They will be all set to the tap tempo. If you don't want them to follow the tempo, then you have to just assign a constant time value to them. Try putting them in series with each other, then try parallel. They will interact differently.
  15. Keep in mind that on forums people post mostly negative issues, and very infrequently they post how happy they are with something. So when you go to a forum, the balance of negative to positive is not a true representation of what is actually out there.
  16. Can you take a pick of your preset screen so we can see how you have it set up while the issue is present?
  17. That was so pages ago... I'm in no big hurry, especially since the price is right.
  18. I make it work for my needs. Sometimes I change the bank up/down to preset up/down and then use the 8 foot switches for snapshots. I get a LOT of use from snapshots. Sometimes I use it in 10 stomp mode. Sometimes 4 stomps, 4 snaps. It just depends on what my needs are that particular time.
  19. I don't have any high pitched tones when using G10. Does it happen to you on a particular guitar, or does it happen using all guitars? Some people were having issues with piezo based system creating a high pitched tone through G10.
  20. Yes, the times have officially changed. Digital is equal to the tubes/analog world, just a different interfacing method.
  21. Tap cannot be reassigned. The bank buttons can be used for stomps. You just have to change your mode to 10 stomps to do that.
  22. I haven't had enough coffee yet today, so my ambition is low. Maybe instead of 3.0.................wait for it........................ . . . . . FREE HELIX NATIVE FOR ALL CURRENT HELIX OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (going to get more coffee)
  23. You can just connect one XLR from FOH directly to you Helix. Ask you sound guy if he want mic or line level from your Helix via the XLR. To change the XLR output you go to Global Settings>ins/outs, page over once, then you will see XLR outs. I set mine to mic, but your sound guy may want line level. I create all my tones at home either through a PA speaker or though IEM plugged into Helix phones jack. I found that it is close enough for FOH and don't add global EQ, but I play in the same venue every week. What I create at home is pretty much what I get out of our QSC FOH system. If you want just your guitar out of your wedge, then you just go 1/4" out of the Helix directly to your powered wedge. If you want the entire band in your wedge, you'll have to get the monitor mix from your board to your wedge.
  24. Drop a delay and a reverb right next to each other. Put the cursor on the delay, click the ACTION button, then move the delay down with the joystick, then just drop the block. The parallel path will be created. To move where the ends of the parallel path tie into the other path, you can move the cursor to those ends, click ACTION and move them where you want.
