Only thing I can think of is that you are out of DSP on that path, especially if those are all stereo effects on 2A. Try deleting a couple of other effects on that path to see if that frees up some DSP and allows you to drop in the looper.

Nice project!

You must have some unaffected getting through your preset somewhere. Can you post a pic/screenshot of your preset?

Keep in mind, the original post I believe is referencing the relay channel switching of the amp, and not the audio signal itself. I know for sure my Fender amp has the same issue when connecting the relay switching output to the channel foot switch input on the amp. As soon as I unplug the cable going to the amps channel switching input, the extreme buzz is gone. I'll hook it up this weekend and troubleshoot what the cause is

No, I am not intending to start a long discussion about the pros/cons of the Helix tuner. Just wanted everyone to know that TC Electronic is giving you a free Polytune DAW plugin when you buy a new Polytune. I picked up the Polytune clip for $39 and it came with a code for a free download of their plugin (normally $49). That is all, tuner boy out...

Nice job!

Cat scratch.... never mind.

My Blues Deluxe Reissie does this. When I unplug the cable on the Helix that goes to the foot switch input of the amp, the buzzing goes away. I have not tried to troubleshoot it though since I don't play in that configuration.

This isn't the "I bet you can't replicate this tone" guy, is it? If you don't like what you are getting out of your Helix and you can't get it to work for your needs, return it and get something else. (drops mic)

Can you post screenshots of each case?

Snapshots do not toggle. They change a parameter value, turn something on, or turn something off. If you have it set to turn something on in a snapshot but that item is already on, then nothing will happen.

The only option would be is to have two of those pedals in serial, but you can't control them individually in Helix.
-
Turn of the touch sensing option in global setting ha to see if your problem goes away. If it does, you may have a bad switch and you'll need to open a support ticket.
-
You are still just using 1 send and 1 return on the Helix either way. You still have 2 more send/returns available.

For a "decent" bass sound on Helix, I just used a standard guitar (strat neck pickup), pitch shift down an octave, into one of the bass amp and cab models, and maybe a slight amount of chorus. It works for me laying down a quick bass track when I am putting ideas together in my DAW.

If you are a hobbiest with a ~$1200 budget, I recommend the Helix. If you build a board, you will continue buying/swapping pedals. You won't need to do that with the Helix. I am a hobbiest that plays at church every week. I sold all of the stuff on my pedalboard and a couple of amps, and use only the Helix any more.

G10 Horrible, constant dropout issues

Good deal. Let us know if that takes care of it. -
Yep, monitor from the Helix. Either use headphones connected to Helix or studio monitors connected to Helix. When you are laying down a track from Helix to your DAW, mute that track in the DAW. There is no latency when doing that.

The rotary models are actually models of speakers, but they are in the modulation effects menu for some reason. I guess because they are time modulated. So using 4cm with the rotary, you are essentially running a speaker model into you speaker cabinet, so you will lose quite a bit of top end. Maybe someone on the forum has some tips for making this work better for you. I don't run 4cm, so I am of no help.

It is the "fizz" that is apparent in the modeled systems. Keep in mind Line6 modeled all the amps and effects down to the board/component level. What you are wanting to hear is how an amp sounds "in the room". To get closer to the "amp in a room sound" your preset has to be set up in such a way to model that type of setup. Real amp gain channels and distortion pedals do have that same fizz, it just isn't as apparent when playing through real cabinets sitting in a room with your ears in a different locaation in the room.

Them's strong words partner. Maybe Line6 should just develop auto tune for Helix and be done with it.

How about a discussion about the Helix tuner?

wanting a g70 but not sure about dropout issue
jbuhajla replied to bowkore's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
Buy it from Sweetwater and it should have the latest firmware on it. Additionally if you experience any equipment related issues, just return it.
