  1. Uh oh... Here comes the tuner train... LOL.
  2. I did something similar, but it was my fault. Not thinking, I created a parallel cab and IR so I could compare the two. I was switching one on and the other off. When switching the other off, I essentially created a path around the other and was just feeding the signal out of the amp bypassing the cabinet.
  3. You can also connect through USB 1/2 IN and control volume through global settings>Inputs/outputs. Doing it that way will not tie up any space on your preset signal chains.

    Switch and Wah

Connect your two external expression pedals to the two external expression pedal ports on the back of the unit (EXP2, EXP3). Then you can use those for anything, including wah. Just assign the wah block to a foot switch to turn on/off, and use the expression for control.
  5. Yes, I always run mine in logarithmic. Perhaps the "instantaneous" change in volume that he is referring to is the linear behavior.
  6. I can't even spell ellipsesses. 2.20! 2.20! 2.20! Everyone now! 2.20! 2.20! 2.20 . . . . .
  7. Should be covered for a year from Line 6 if you registered it, 2 years if you bought it from Sweetwater.
  8. Linear will change from 0-100% in a constant slope (linear) change. Logarithmic also changes from 0-100%, but the change is a curve and not a straight line. Either way, it should not make a sudden jump from 0 right to 100. I would try deleting that block and drop in a fresh one and don't change the default settings. It will default to EXP2. If it still jumps, then there is an issue.
  9. Fantastic advise. I too am in the P&W world and going through the same thing weekly. It never even dawned on me to throw a looper in the front of the chain. Thanks so much for the tip! I feel so silly now...
  10. If it sounds fine in your PA in your garage, wait to tweak it at the venue. It's a different room and won't sound the same anyway. You'll be in good shape.
  11. Maybe even run that delay on a separate wet signal, at 100% mix, then you can add some stank on the front end of it (bit crusher, fuzz, distortion) for that glitched kind of delayed sound. Sexy...
  12. Power up G50 first, then G10. Make sure you put the transmitter in the receiver base after the G50 is powered up. When the transmitter is in the receiver base, that is when it scans for channels already being used and assigns a channel for its self. It should not interfere with G50 while it is scanning because it is not transmitting, just receiving then making a decision of what alternate channel to use.
  13. That was the only thing I could think of. I don't notice any tone differences using G10, but I don't play high gain stuff.
  14. Mine did this at church yesterday. During the bootup on the "Helix" screen, the spiraling double helix automation stopped moving and it just sat there. I cycled power and it booted up correctly. I had no USB devices plugged in at the time. It was the first time I have experienced this issue. I am on v2.12.
  15. Also, switch volume to EXP2 and wah to EXP1. Those are the defaults for each and it seams to be more stable. They are still working on a firmware "fix" for the stability part.
  16. I use these in about 1/2 of my presets. I really like them.
  17. I am thinking it's an impedance issue going from the G10 to your POD. Have you tried changing input-Z in your HD500?
  18. Just one suggestion for starters. I create separate presets for individual guitars. I no longer try to make a preset work with different guitars. For the fizz, put the word "fizz" or "hiss" in the search bar at the top of the forum to pull up past info on this.
  19. You want to be able to use on board expression for wah, and external expression pedal for volume? I just want to be sure I am understanding you correctly.
  20. It was just humor, something we need more of in this world and less political "correctness" (as if anything political is correct). And now, back to the show...
  21. The magic of "vintage" has worn off long ago. I love having everything I need in one box. If it's not in there, I really don't "need" it anyway.
  22. Spot on. We are also using the x32 board, but we use the P-16s on stage for IEM mix/control. Don't expect to get your "dream tone" through IEM. Amsdenj hit it on the head when he said "make your IEM TOLERABLE". It took me a couple of months to get used to them, but I prefer it now. Unfortunately, we are fully isolated, so no sound coming from the stage at all. I would love to have a wedge or two in front of me to get some sound waves interacting with my guitar, but that's not the case. I play Helix only to FOH and monitor through IEMs.
  23. See, I put out information thinking that I was just being dumb, but it was actually booting up with the previous preset. I am glad I decided to post this. I thought maybe my middle agedness was playing tricks on me.
