  1. Yup. It's certainly there; especially pronounced on the high E string. Another thing you might want to try is re-flashing the firmware and see if that helps.
  2. There are two things to check to make sure that it is truly working incorrectly . . . 1. In Workbench, make sure that the "Magnetics Blend" (bottom right hand corner) is set all the way off, or left. 2. Do your recording directly into your PC, without using a microphone. You may be getting some bleed through from the physical strings, which could affect what you hear, as well as your recording if you're using a microphone. If you can hear the ghost notes in the recording, if recorded totally direct, then you do have a problem.
  3. If POD Farm is running you shouldn't need the driver console. The only other thing I can suggest is to make sure that you have the gain turned up on both the physical knobs on top of the UX2, as well as on whichever pre-amp models you are using for your vocals. Can you post some screen shots?
  4. Make sure that the "DUAL" button next to the patch name is turned on in order to use channel B. +48V should definitely be on for a condenser mic. Are you sure that the MIC is in proper working order? Do you get sound when you play a guitar and have the input set to "Instrument"?
  5. I think this might be a question for the MIDI knowledgeable folks (not me). Perhaps he means how can you use an HD500 to control Amplitube 3?
  6. PF 2.55 will use just about any ASIO based input. You should be good.
  7. Yes, the computer version starts with 2.5. There is a VERY limited version of 2.55 that is free. It can be installed alongside Gearbox, you just cannot run them both at once. You will need to be connected to the internet to authorize. Installing through Monkey is usually a good idea. The upgrade to 1.12 is free, but you do not get free access to the VST version.
  8. Download POD Farm 1.12. It's a free upgrade to Gearbox. You can have both installed without them interfering with each other. You could also download POD Farm 2.55. That will also install without interfering with GearBox, but the free version has limited functionality
  9. It is 100% digital. Digital audio goes one-way, control information is two-way. I don't think there would be any way to make a simple interface. As spaceatl suggested previously, your best bet might be to use the DT25's FX loop.
  10. You might want to take a look at Reaper. It has a fully functional demo period, and is pretty inexpensive if you want to purchase it. http://www.reaper.fm
  11. I know that the X3 sums both left and right to the left output if you unplug the right. I didn't know it worked the other way around as well.
  12. I was thinking the same thing, but he also mentioned possibly getting a Variax, which again would point to an HD500/500X.
  13. 1. Pick the "Clean" setting on the S2 2. Set all of the tone controls except "Master" to 12:00 (Use the master to control overall volume) 3. Turn off ALL S2 effects 4. Tweak the Bass, Mid, and Treble controls until you get something that you like. Note, this is less than ideal. You are piling an amp sim from your FPP on top of an amp sim on your S2. Ideally, you want to use the FPP into a PA system, or monitors. (In a pinch, computer speakers work pretty well)
  14. Workbench HD is a free download. As long as the guitar includes the Workbench USB adapter your are good to go.
  15. What are you using for a recording application?
  16. Make sure you have something plugged into the Variax 1/4" jack. The guitar will not power up without being plugged in.
  17. Believe me it is. I've also have my Am Dlx Strat Plek'd. Also amazing!!
  18. The guy does phenomenal work. They also have the only Plek machine in the area. I've also had my JTV59 Plek'd (Wow!!!) He may be a tad on the pricy side, but I know my axe is in good hands.
  19. Have you ever had a license for PF2.55? Depending on when you bought POD Studio, it may have been a paid upgrade. You might also want to make sure you are logging into License Manager with the same account that you registered PF 2.55 with (assuming you own it). Some licensing follows that hardware, but most upgrade licensing follows your account.
  20. Other than the nut being cut a tiny touch too deeply, which I've been able to compensate for, I'd say my JTV59 is excellent. My beloved American Dlx HSS Strat (which is also a superior instrument BTW), goes unplayed. I would give my JTV59 (Korean) a 4.6 (losing .4 for the improperly cut nut). If was truly troubling, I could probably take it to my luthier and have it replaced for about $75, or shimmed for about $25.
  21. Are you sure that you are actually permanently saving the preset after turning off the reverb? Are you doing the editing on the X3 itself, or via the Gearbox editor. It's a LOT easier to edit and save presets via Gearbox.
