Pod Farm 2.5 Is Not Loading Effect Or Plugins
BigChas52 replied to zachwasmundt's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
POD Farm Free has a very limited set of amps and effects. You can check the list here http://line6.com/podfarm/models.html -
Make sure that you are using the HD500 ASIO driver for both input and output. Mute the track you are recording to and monitor via the HD500's headphone out. If you try to monitor via the PC the lag will totally throw you off.

Don't forget the freeware version of POD Farm 2 http://line6.com/podfarm and IKMultimedia's AmpliTube 3 Free http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/amplitubecs

There are a few minor ones, but the main controls I can think of that you can only get to through the HD edit screen are: Output Modes (Studio Direct, etc.) - This is an important one! SP/DIF Settings Looper controls

Sorry, it can't be done without an X3 attached.

There seems to be a common problem. All of you that are having problems are using those inexpensive (let's just call them CHEAP!) LogiLink USB cables. For the most part, they do not work well with Line 6 devices. You might want to obtain USB MIDI cables that have been proven to work well; the M-Audio Midisport UNO cables, for instance.

It is chromatic tuning. The default is A=440, but that can be adjusted.

Here is some advice: 1. DO NOT try to explore the HD 500 via it's interface. You'll get quickly lost and frustrated. I do suggest that you learn it later, but for starters connect your HD500 to your PC and use HD500 Edit. 2. Start with 3 of the separate sections in the Edit program: AMPS - FX - Controllers 3. I would start in the AMPS section, and pick an amp to start with. You might start by picking something you're familiar with in the physical amp world. Do not pick one of the "pre" models until you have a grip on what you're doing. Use the "nrm" models for now. DO feel free to twist the treble, bass, and middle knobs on the HD500 if that makes it easier to dial in your tone. Treat this part like an actual amp. For now, do not mess with the Amp Parameters or Cab Parameters sections. 4. Once you have a decent sounding AMP, go to the FX section. From here, imagine how you would place stomps and effect in a physical environment. It's really not that different. You'll have lots of toys to choose from. Again, start with stomps and effects that you are familiar with in the physical world. You might want to make sure you assign a volume pedal in there as well. - Notice the little purple blocks. You can drag them before, or after the amp section to decide if you want the effect before or after the amp. For example, I like GATE and distortions before, and delays and reverb after. I like volume pedals before the amp on overdriven patches, and after the amp on clean patches. You can also set up dual amping by dragging the amp block around until the single amp path turns into two paths, but I wouldn't do this for now. 5. In the CONTROLLERS section, think about the FX you've chosen and which ones you would like assigned to foot switches. In the physical world, you might leave something like GATE or mild compression on all the time, so you don't necessarily need to assign them to foot switches. I usually assign distortions, delays, chorus, and one additional (depending on the patch) to the foot switches. Remember the volume pedal? Make sure you assign it to the expression pedal here :) 6. You can save your patch to the HD500 by using the "SEND - Selected" option in the upper left corner of the Edit interface. Once you have this part down, it shouldn't be difficult to get a grip on the MIXER section and some of the output options. Try not to get frustrated. It's a learning experience, and can be quite fun. Enjoy :)

Baspod Xt Pro Headphone Problem

You might try a different set of headphones to see if the result is the same. That would narrow the problem to the BXT. You might also try reflashing the firmware. -
Floor Pod Plus( China Made) Is It Real Or Fake
BigChas52 replied to ra1234's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Most of the Line 6 products are made in China. I would say it's real. -
Ux2 Just Stopped Working
BigChas52 replied to periphery93's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Also, try the UX2 with a different computer to make sure that it hasn't died. -
The input is mono, but by the time it gets through POD Farm it can end up in stereo if you are using stereo effects.
-
You can install it on as many computers as you like, but it will only work while the UX1 is attached to it.

Baspod Xt Pro Headphone Problem
BigChas52 replied to paultjetouring's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
What kind of headphones? Are you using a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter? If so, is it stereo to stereo? Do the headphones work with a different device? -
Depends on the amp. You could probably do it with a keyboard amp or into a PA system, but the analog outs will probably overdrive the input of a guitar amp. It will also sound bad, since there are no sound shaping options for playing through a guitar amp like you have with the POD devices.

Pod Farm As Vst Vs Pod Farm With Ux1
BigChas52 replied to flabergaster's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Yup. Dry sends on the POD HD series, as well as a "POD Farm HD" are both MIA, and both very desirable. No word from Line 6 on either of these yet though :( -
Latency is a standard issue, but you can work around it. 1. Get rid of those rubbish ASIO4ALL drivers and use the UX1 ASIO driver 2. Monitor your playing/singing via the UX1 headphone output. The low latency driver will allow you to record in time to your tracks 3. Your DAW should adjust the latency after the fact. If it doesn't, it's a simple matter of repositioning the track.

Pod Farm Is Not Working With Fl Studio
BigChas52 replied to FinInfinite's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Don't open POD Farm in FL Studio until AFTER you have recorded your track. Record the track dry and then add the POD Farm plug-in as an FX. If you use FL Studio "a large amount" surely you must know how to record audio :) -
The DT series is sort of the next generation of Spider-Valve, but without the effects.

Pod Farm Is Not Working With Fl Studio
BigChas52 replied to FinInfinite's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
1. Make sure you have selected the GX ASIO as your inputs. 2. Use one button recording to record directly to a track, or to record to the Edison editor (your choice). Once recording is finished, reassign it from the "REC" track to one of your inserts. Do not use the plug-in until after your recording is done. It is for post processing. -
