  1. Are you running the latest version of Monkey? If not, you can find it here http://line6.com/software
  2. I doubt that this late in the HD line's life cycle that we're going to see "model packs" added. As far as the next series goes, a manufacturer is always working on the next generation. The question is "when?" Even though the "X" series was little more than a face-lift, it isn't that old. I wouldn't expect to see something new until late next year, at the earliest. . . but I could be wrong. We may know more after Winter NAMM.
  3. A couple of different ways: 1. If you are no longer going to be a Line 6 customer, remove any identifying info from your user account and give it to the new owner; or 2. Unregister the GX from your account, sell it to the new owner, and then "gift" the model packs to the new owner's Line 6 account.
  4. Are you using a USB 2 or USB 3 port. It will not work well with a USB 3 port.
  5. Put one of the vocal pre-amps in your signal chain. You can adjust volume from there, as well as from the "MIC GAIN" know on top of the UX-1. If you haven't already, you might also want to read the manual. It has some good advice and tips. You can get to the basic manual through the POD Farm "Help" menu.
  6. Record your guitar as "Sends 1 & 2" On a separate track, record the Mic as "Sends 3 & 4" Take a look at the UX2's ASIO driver and make sure that the sends are set correctly. Alternatively, you can open up POD Farm and control the output mix from there until you get the hang of it.
  7. As Zap suggested, make sure that you are using the latest software, POD Farm 2.56, from the downloads section http://line6.com/software
  8. Are you using a USB 3 port? UX2 is USB 1.1 and operation tends to be spotty (if it works at all) with a USB 3 port.
  9. What program are you using? If you are trying to use POD Farm 2.5 do you have a license for it? If not, drop down to POD Farm 1.
  10. Install & run Line 6 Monkey, then run the Line 6 License Manager.
  11. . . . and I wouldn't expect it to any time in the reasonably foreseeable future. Sorry.
  12. If he gives you the account, then you can transfer the GX to your account and use it with your model packs. POD Farm will follow the GX. Model packs that are registered to that account can also be transferred to your account by using a one-time process called "gifting"
  13. I only have one bag, and I don't stack it, but I haven't had any issues.
  14. You will need to run the Line 6 License Manager. It gets installed when you install Line 6 Monkey.
  15. The GX works exactly like an amp. Anything you put between your guitar and the GX should definitely be heard. Sounds like there is a problem with either the pedal or the cable.
  16. I bought these. They were under $35 and are working fine. They fit the holes in my JTV59 exactly. http://www.guitarfetish.com/Sperzel-Style-Locking-Tuners-3x3-Chrome_p_1172.html
  17. I just took a look, and both my HD500 and my M13 have them. I had never noticed before. I'd say it's pretty normal.
  18. The VDI cable is a RJ-45 network cable with a special Neutrik shield on one end to protect the guitar. You can use a standard CAT-5 or CAT-6 RJ-45 cable without the Neutrik shield, but be extremely careful not to get it stuck in the guitar. One other thing, make sure that you also have a cable plugged into the 1/4" jack when updating in order to activate the battery
  19. Active pickups actually should be plugged into the PAD input. Are the batteries in your guitar fresh? Are you getting OK output from the guitar with other amps?
  20. OK. I've never really paid much attention to the meters, but I also find that the Input section isn't getting over -30dB with my guitars (about 15% visually). Sounds fine coming out the other end though. Make sure you have the OUTPUT know on the UX2 set high enough. Tuner is working OK too.
  21. One more thing to try. Early releases of the XTL firmware did not connect properly via USB. Try connecting to Monkey via MIDI and upgrade the firmware to the latest version. That might fix your problem, as well as allow you to connect via USB.
  22. FX Junkie is part of the XT Live firmware. You do not need a license. It cannot just vanish. Perhaps you should contact tech support and open a support ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html
