I think that list is likely to be the confirmed hardware that its been tested with. If you have a reasonably recent Android device the hardware will likely support the right version of Android and work ok. No guarantees though, but lets wait and see once released.

Distortions work ok into the pod, I've done it lots. There are no roadmaps as such that we can see due to some of what would be on it likely being commercially sensitive... I.e. New products or new features - which would be very interesting to competitors. Hope this helps Andy

This topic has been asked previously for other products like spider amps and line 6 have said that the fbv jacks and variax jacks have hardware connected inside the device (amp/POD) that means software alone cannot be changed to turn an fbv port into a variax port. Hope this helps Andy

I seem to recall that the headphone output would turn off the internal speakers. That's kind of a fundamental difference between a line out and a headphone out. But it would include the whole sound to make it useful ad a headphone output. Hope this helps Andy

It really does depend on how loud the band is. For me, 75 watts would be plenty - perhaps on a kick back stand too. Anything into the aux input on the amplifi is optimal - its there to be used and abused if that's what you need ;-)

ah, just another point - it likely looks a little like it's a stripped down POD Farm, but the crucial difference is that POD Farm processes your guitar, and the Amplifi Remote App does not. the app controls the amp, and it's the amp that processes your audio. a minor point, but helpful to understand that the app is only like a remote control.

I'm not with my iPad at the moment, but I seem to recall that it should work without an internet connection, but you wont get the cloud features. So you could save 4 presets to the amp, and many more to your 'my tones' in the app, which saves them to your iOS device rather than the cloud. You should then be able to recall them to the amp as you need to when jamming. Hope this helps Andy

In my experience, that's the case with any delay fx unless they are time synced with a midi clock to something else you're trying to keep in time with. The solution would be to use delay set with ms not note length and a tempo. In the amplifi app, edit the preset and press the word note within the delay fx block. This changes to a ms setting. I think for the amplifi, the 2nd exp Pedal would control I think vol and the built in exp pedal would be wah... Or vice versa. The amplifi doesn't seem to be able to control other parameters with expression, but the fx knob on the amp can be configured to adjust a number of things.

If you are in the 'my tones' section (get there from the main menu in the app, and to get to that menu, press the three horizontal lines top left of the app. In the my tones section, you can press on a tone to load (audition) it. Then press 'save to hardware' at the top to save to one of the in amp presets. There is a way to save to the amp when you're editing a tone and you can 'publish' to the internet or 'save', and I think you can save to 'my tones' in the app, or to the amp - I say I think, because I'm not with my amp at the moment so can't try it to double check - but I'm sure that's how I revert doing it the last time I saved tones to my amplifi. You can save presets in the app to your 'my tones' I think it's called, as individual tones. Not as a bundle of favs though.

Does it sound like a warble crossed with a Star Trek faser? If so then yes that's the delay catching up. Typically i set the tap tempo before the song when the drummer clicks us in. Also I'm sure my tc electronic flashback x4 does the same too - and it didn't seem a surprise to me. Isn't that just how delay works if you start changing the tempo while you're playing?

Is it that the delay time is changing because you've tapped a different tempo and you're hearing the delay catch up with itself?

I think you mean the digital delay with 381ms delay time, and around 40% feedback and 45-50% mix. It creates a great repeat, and adding some good reverb works well. In the amplifi app, play a song to bring up the tone search window and manually search for ambient delays demo. That's what I uploaded after my video. Cheers Andy

They would have to be done by you. The app chooses a few tones that best fit the song you're playing - so long as the son is well known. You then load the tone you want from that list it finds and play. The app doesn't auto switch tones for you mid song.

No but you can use the amplifi as a FRFR speaker for the pod by using the amplifi aux input and using studio output mode on the pod with full amp models

Hot covers in the uk have made covers for me. They're very quick and make very good covers to your specs - but shipping may cost too much to deliver outside the uk to make it worthwhile. Worth checking though. No other ideas spring to mind

I don't know for sure, but often a rear amp chassis with a solid state amp will be part of the amplifier chip heatsink. Some do have find but sometimes that's not needed if the external surface area is enough. It's obviously different to solid state - but of course tube amps can get quite hot where parts of the amps are near to the tubes... Combos particularly... They work just fine :-) Sounds like it worked well while gettin hot - sounds fine to me. If you're worried - perhaps email L6 tech support and ask specifically. Cheers Andy

Press the delay fx block which shows you all the delay fx parameters. Then press the circle delay icon to the left if where it says the delay type. On the next page press 'type' and you can select the fx type, one is drive and dynamics. This works in a similar way with the stomp and mod fx blocks in the editor Cheers Rowbi

I did something similar so I could get the presets back later if I wanted them - that procedure should work fine

The HD500 cannot interface with an amplifi to switch patches. If you wanted to get the benefits of amplifi for home use and jamming but also have more pod HD flexibility for gigs, for the gigs you could use your pod into the aux input on the amplifi and use the amplifi just as your FRFR amp while using the pod tones, etc. Cheers Andy

right - here's some more findings, and it's all good. it seems the FX buttons work while the app is connected and you're editing a preset, so that's good. the vol pedal works, and controls the 'volume' effect block in the preset, for which the min and max vol can be edited within the preset. the wah pedal and on/off toe switch also works as expected. the function 1 footswitch turns the compressor on and off. the delay footswitch (and the other FX footswitches) seem to only turn on and off 1 delay or effect block, even when more than one delay effect block are in use. and here's where things get interesting: the reverb footswitch will only turn reverb on and off, even if you move the reverb effect block to a different location (it can be the last in the chain, or just before the amp FX block I should point out that out of the effect blocks, some are of a fixed effect type. so e.g. the reverb FX block can be changed to different reverb types, but only reverb. same for wah. the noise gate, comp, eq and vol are fixed FX, and although their settings can be changed, the fx can't be changed for other comps, EQ FX respectively etc. the stomp, mod and delay FX blocks can be interchanged for any mix of 3 FX from any mod, delay or stomp. those 3 can then be moved in any order to before the amp or at the end of the fx chain (except the reverb would be dead last if it's post amp). those 3 fx blocks (stomp, mod, delay by default, but can be any of those 3) are then controlled by the stomp, mod and delay footswitches but in the order they appear in the fx chain. so say this is your chain: gate > wah > stomp > amp > comp > eq > vol > mod > delay > reverb then on your FBV shortboard MKII, the 3 FX switches will control the FX they are labelled with (stomp controls stomp on/off, same for mod for mod, and delay for delay). and reverb will control reverb (remember reverb is always reverb and comp is always controlled by func 1) if this is your chain: gate > wah > delay > reverb > amp > comp > eq > vol > stomp > mod then reverb and func will control reverb and comp (they always do), but the other 3, will be as follows: stomp switch controls delay fx mod footswitch will control stomp fx delay footswitch will control the mod fx, as that's the order the pedal and the fx chain match up with the 3 fx blocks that can be controlled to the footswitches from left to right. the FX parameter on the amp can be moved to edit fx parameters from stomp, mod, delay or reverb. just make sure the slider is down low on the fx parameter you want to assign the knob to, and touch and hold on the xx% number for that parameter for a few seconds and your iOS device will ask you if you want to assign the fx parameter to that slider. phew - I hope all that makes sense - Over and out for now Cheers Rowbi.
