  1. There were no experts on the beta that i'm aware of. There are experts that have them, I'll leave them to identify themselves.
  2. Ok, you be mad. I'm not apologizing for anything... and you can do what you want or hold a grudge and be a miserable person in general... but it works.... if you don't like how it works... flash back and be happy... or you just have to wait until its ready.
  3. No. (I don't buy it) I think it's 1:1 perhaps modest tweaks.. but no way is it "well beyond." they can perhaps be a little more refined since the delivery/amplification is pre-determined... meaning i can see things being optimized for the application.
  4. you need to set the path to the pod farm vst folder in ableton... something like program files\line6\pod farm\vst
  5. they wouldn't provide those details to support... and they don't comment on stuff they are working on... not the answer you wanted yes.... the final answer.. no. simply put they aren't going to let you know anything until it's ready. the support guy merely danced around this fact.
  6. was mentioned earlier: http://line6.com/support/topic/6298-amplifi-fx100/
  7. Clearly this was before we learned to smelt steel :D
  8. some of the x3's required a hardware fix for the usb. I know that the "lives" did not sure about the pro. as a possible workaround you may want to try a usb 2.0 expansion card in your machine. should be inexpensive. you can also try other ports on your machine as it is... they are not always created equal... my advice use a rear port that is NOT usb 3.0

  10. Not really a country fan, but these tones are all around excellent. Thanks for sharing.
  11. I have a couple of them, they're great... just plastic and not durable enough for some people. certainly more durable than they look!
  12. Everything happens in cycles, they move their resources from project to project.. it seems. I think they are concentrating on the Amplifi stuff at the moment, but they have not abandoned the variax. (all based on my understanding and not an official reply)
  13. Yeah sometimes have to do that after a system upgrade.... i think the upgrade defaults the settings and toggling it re-reads important details from the drivers. (guess)
  14. you can get tones and get them to your unit... its just not automatic... and not linked to any songs... go to http://customtone.com to get the tones... as long as you have the software installed (monkey, gearbox, drivers) you should be able to put the tones you download into your pod.
  15. i know there is supposed to be some music on here... but i couldn't hear it over how loud your shoes were :D j/k nice looping.
  16. the expression pedal is optical... probably picking up sunlight... drape a bandana or cloth napkin over it and it might behave better.
  17. there's always this: http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/
  18. there is a reset built into the amp... just pinch and hold the topology and pentode buttons together when you power on (standby ok) the amp will start flashing and reprogram then release and you're back to defaults.
  19. if you're just wanting to change up the DT and not use other midi stuff.... there is an OSX editor here: http://line6.com/support/topic/124-user-created-dt-editors/
  20. the newest java is likely the problem... it's 1.7 the variax software uses 1.6 apple tends to be very strict about java updates... but i suspect the answer for you is restoring the previous version of java. and apple isn't going to make that easy....
  21. Yeah it's possible, pretty sure you have to be on the 2.0 firmware and use workbench HD. i've done it on my 59
  22. you're surely correct... but "near zero" is not the same as "zero" it's just always good to be aware, that's all.
  23. it's impossible unless you plan to play at the same volume in the same environment all the time. the perception of sound changes at volume....
