that and i've seen the 500x footswitches praised as improved... if that's an area of concern, that detail might matter to you.
-
funny thing is this critical feature to you.... sounds absolutely worthless to me... just my opinion... although i'm all for the option if it can be done.... as i like options... I also have a DT50, so I obviously do not have the same setup as you. with any other amp though, i'd just use the preamps in the pod, or a 4 cable method and let my real cab/preamp speak for itself.

I don't think the site takes paypal.. you'd need to get a pre-paid credit card i believe.

I generally go for the updates, but if you aren't having problems, i'm not aware of any substantial feature enhancements with the updates. have you looked it up and read the notes? http://line6.com/software/

Spares Availability?
TheRealZap replied to pheld's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
Can't speak to your specific case... unfortunately, but i do see where you would be upset by their path forward... PLEKing ain't cheap. I would have asked them to pay to get the new one PLEK'd, or something myself so i know where you're coming from... i just don't know the decision making process on yours... sometimes it has to do with various laws, or simple logistics based on global locations... -
Spares Availability?
TheRealZap replied to pheld's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
repair centers DO have parts... there is a big difference between what they sell directly to the consumer and what is available to their service centers. -
was just making a joke... sort of a challenge... the gif was just a play on "doing it" :)

the shaving cream represents the idea.... and the intended victim represents the forum response.

the line6 service tech does not recommend changing tube brands... for details see: http://line6.com/support/topic/2998-is-it-a-tube-problem/?do=findComment&comment=20304

here are the re-calibration instructions, I suspect they will fix your issue. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects/pod/pod-hd/pod-hd500xhd500-pedal-calibration-r161

I still think YOU should do it! because you can.....
-
let us know when you get the prototype sorted... love to see the video!

I don't think we'd get an official response, either way... too speculative. but there could also be other things in the way aside from technical capability... what if peavey/autotune have an exclusive agreement of some sort? (as an example) would it be worth it to develop similar capabilities internal to line6? (they've probably got a headstart on this to be honest with current capabilities) with the limitations that funky mentioned, i would hope it would be per model/defeatable. i still think that the tech is intriguing, and worth finding a "right way" to do it.

it's still a great amp, with loads of great features... if it's really important that you share tones with other, then you will need something different.... but really... not every tone you download is worth it... sometimes its only an idea or a starting point... but its never anything that you couldn't do on your own.

the reason there is no edit for the spider jam, is that it is actually a spider III product, and came before spider IV and it's features.
-
it does not currently have a bass expansion, but it's always possible that they are working on one... check here: http://line6.ideascale.com/ and if you don't see the option to vote for this already, add the request!
-
sounds like a good idea, it's currently not possible... you should submit it to: http://line6.ideascale.com/

I suggest you contact line6 and get support on the line, or open a support ticket: http://line6.com/company/contact/ most things having to do with licenses will require their intervention anyway.

Jtv's Vdi Connector For Spider Iv 15?
TheRealZap replied to fredfunke's topic in Spider IV / Spider Online
I think you have to have a spider IV 75 or greater to load patches... but if i'm wrong, I'm positive that you MUST use one of the FBV MKII boards and there is no alternative to them. -
I get all sorts of digital sync type things when using my mac.. it seems to happen less at 48k samples.. i think the default is 44.1k not sure if you can change it on garage band... i tend to use the new logic pro x... its pretty awesome! have you updated the drivers etc using monkey?
