Well, don’t do that... It doesn’t happen all the time, but Reaper will often crash if you turn off the interface while it’s running. What would be the reasoning for powering off the Helix before closing Reaper?

This first clip is something I recorded last week towards the end of the beta. The drum and rhythm tracks were actually something I had done like last summer, but I'd forgotten about them. I thought I resurrect it with some of the new polyphonic pitch stuff. This is using the new Poly Wham on the lead track and the Poly Pitch on the bass for sub-octave thickening. Also the lead track is using the new Princeton model. Although, I’m using the Bitcrusher as a fuzz type effect, so it’s probably not the best representation of a Princeton ever. But the Poly Wham is so fast and smooth, and tracks even with bends. The second clip is using the new Glitch Delay model with some less crazy settings. I like the way it shifts octaves randomly, and in some places, it almost sounds like bells ringing. The last one is using the new Poly Sustain model with the pitch set to an octave up. I thought with the modulation, it almost sounded Wurlitzer-like.

Try doing a Restore from Backup to get all your global settings the way they were before the update. The update scrambles them up.

Yes, I tried it with Spillover on when I tested it on my Rack as well.

The only way you'd be able to emulate the 1-switch looper via MIDI is if you have a MIDI controller that allows you to assign different CCs to the various switch functions - press, hold, double-tap. I think the Disaster Area Designs MIDI Baby would allow this, for example. Using the MIDI CCs associated with the footswitches themselves won't work, because those are all just single-use things. Things like press or hold have no meaning when it comes to a MIDI CC, as the CC message just gets shot out once.

I just tried it using my Rack, and it's working as expected. I haven't tried it on my Floor yet. Have you done a factory reset since updating?
-
You can't change that message, per se, but you can use Instant Messages in the Command Center to do what you want. First, go to Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo>MIDI PC Tx and turn it to Off. This will make it so that PC messages associated with each preset isn't sent automatically when selecting that preset. Then go to the Command Center and select one of the lightning bolt icons to set up an Instant Command. Set the command type to Bank/PC and set the PC number you want to send there. It will be sent whenever you load the preset. The nice thing is you can actually have the PC value set to a different number per snapshot if you like, too.

This seems to happen on some Macs. Try deleting all previous installation packages and uninstalling HX Edit before downloading the 3.0 installation pacakge again.

They show up under the Marketplace Downloads link in the Shop area of the site:

No. The toe switch input is designed to work with a latching footswitch. The 1 Switch looper would need a momentary style footswitch to work properly. You can control it with MIDI, though.

Your global settings have changed during the update. This particular setting is located under Global Settings>Footswitches>Footswitches>Stomp Mode Switches. But rather than just changing this one setting, you should do a Restore from Backup to get all your global settings back to how they were prior to the update.

For the sake of everyone's sanity, please do this first before asking why you can't see the new stuff. Not updating HX Edit is the reason why you can't see new stuff. Select "HX Edit" from the middle pull down menu and download it from here: https://line6.com/software/

I think this is something weird that happens with Macs. Try deleting the old 2.92 installation file before downloading the 3.0 file.
-
You have to have parameters assigned to the snapshot controller (or any other controller) if you want to have their values recalled by snapshot changes.
-
Well, I'm not exactly sure that's a bug. Your presets may just be a different levels. The EXP Position set to Global maintain the position of the expression pedal through preset changes, but the relative level of the signal it's control will be different, so you can still have volume fluctuations.

You need to update HX Edit.
-
The 3.0 in the bottom of HX Edit refers to the hardware firmware version. You need to manually download and install HX Edit apart from the update process. It’s actually officially the first step of the process.

They can be found here:
-
You need to download and install HX Edit 3.0 as well.
-
In what sense are they bouncing up and down? Like the volume is changing on its own?
-
You need to download and install the new version of HX Edit.
-
Well, only one of these is using MIDI. HX Edit is using USB. So you could keep that connected via a USB cable. If you wanted to control the Stomp from MIDI from the iPad, you could do that with a MIDI adapter. Something like the Yamaha MD-BT01 would allow to use Bluetooth from the iPad to send MIDI messages to the Stomp.

Well, I’ve gotten all sorts of emails from all sorts of companies, many that are primarily software companies, like Slate Digital, for example, that have told people to hold off on updating. I imagine that companies are reluctant to invest a lot of time in a fix prior to big release just to have that fix be broken in the final release.
